I only recommend the best to my friends. ORA is the best. My entire experience went smoothly…read more The staff is friendly and professional. They get you in and cared for promptly. I followed my doctor's protocol after surgery and did all of the home exercises twice a day as recommended by my Physical Therapist. I'm grateful to the expertise of Dr. Clark. Because of his exceptional work, my surgery was a success. Kudos to ORA!

My wife required a plate and screws to repair her ankle. The staff at Aspen, Colorado, was amazing and did everything they could to ensure her care would be taken care of when we got home. We asked our surgeon to make arrangements for ORA to do the follow-up care. Big mistake. We went to our appointment at their Moline office, and the nurse for Dr. Collazo took us back and told us to sit down, and they would take her cast off. It had only been a week, and her cast was supposed to stay on for 2 weeks. We told the nurse that she was wrong, and she looked at us like we had three eyeballs. When she went to the doctor, he wanted to take X-rays. All of this was in our records that were forwarded to their office. Then she asked, "Have you already had surgery?" Obviously, none of the staff had looked at the records that were sent to their office. Totally unprofessional and a huge mistake requesting my wife's care there. We will never go back.

After four weeks of attempting to coordinate care with Genesis Home Medical, I have decided to…read moredisengage entirely. Following the submission of my referral, I received a text message a week later stating that my records were under review and that I would receive a follow-up call to schedule an appointment. That call never came. When I followed up myself, I was informed that scheduling could not proceed without the complete records from a sleep study conducted over two decades ago. This requirement is not only unreasonable but also profoundly out of touch with the realities of long-term medical care. In the 20+ years since I received my CPAP, not a single provider--whether physician, home health company, or insurance--has required those records, or EVEN asked to check the machine. Expecting a patient to retrieve documentation from a defunct sleep center or from physicians whose practices have changed hands and locations multiple times, especially from an era when electronic medical records were barely in use, reflects a disturbing lack of flexibility and common sense. This experience demonstrated a clear failure in communication, accountability, and patient-centered care. I would strongly advise others to seek alternatives.

That doctor prescribed me lidocaine patches it helped mildly. The next day the pain was unbearable so I went to the Unity Point ER in Bettendorf the ER doctor was nice and helped me with my pain. He told me that he had called the surgeon who was on call to have her come and look at my incisions. Upon Dr Hass arrival she was extremely rude. She had the audacity to say to me and I quote "I don't know who you conned into giving you percoset, but that is not a med that we prescribed for this type of surgery." I could not believe that I was being treated in such a manner. I explained to her that I had NOT conned anyone out of anything, I was in a serious automobile accident in December that resulted in a laceration to my spleen. I had some left over from that. ( Keep in mind that the whole reason why I was using Unity point was so that all of my medical records from the car accident were all in one place in one system) Had she taken a few minutes to review my chart she would have seen that the Nurse Practitioner from her office was the one who had written the prescription for the oxycodone in the first place. My sister is a registered nurse and she worked for Genesis for years before she moved out of state she explained to me that Nurse Practitioners must had a doctor sign off on class 2 narcotics. So after I explained to her that the oxycodone that I had taken was what I had left over from December, she told me that she was going to admit me so that we could get my pain under control. She told me that she was ordering me dilaudid this was around 2pm on 2/19/22. I was sitting in the ER in pain and was told that they couldn't give me anything until the admitting doctor ordered it. I finally made it upstairs around 5pm. I again asked for pain meds because by this time I was in excruciating pain. I was again told that nothing had been order yet. I called for my nurse a couple more times asking about the status of my medication order. Around 7:30 pm I was finally given my pain meds but I still had not been given something to help with gas like I had asked for around 2pm. The next day she Decided to reduce the dilaudid, I had a bowel movement which put me in excruciating pain I asked for more pain meds and was told that I couldn't have oxycodone for another hour. I asked if I could have dilaudid and was told that they had to get the okay from Dr Hass, I sat in pain for the next hour before being given oxycodone. The Oxycodone didn't even touch the pain from having a bowel movement. After waiting hours for the okay from Dr Hass I was finally given a dose of dilaudid at 7pm. Her bedside manor is the worst that I have ever seen. I will be filing a complaint with the Iowa Board of Medicine as I was told by another health care professional that complaining to the hospital would do no good because surgeon's bring a lot of $ in for the hospital. I know that my complaint alone won't result in disciplinary action however if she has ever made anyone feel as belittled as she made me feel they will open an investigation if similar complaints are received later on.
