I get there and wait almost 40 minutes past my appointment because she's triple booked, nobody has any idea what's going on, and then I get charged $115 instead. My cut and treatment were fine except that I was never asked how I style so I just left with flat ironed hair. But the disorganization and being WAY overcharged is not ok. read more

Suzette Ruined my hair . I asked her if lighting it will ruin my hair she said no not at all. She was more concerned about money. More than half of my hair fell off ,all the way to my scalp. I ended up with patches of black and blonde . I told her ,she said it was my fault because I used cheap shampoo (very unprofessional).I asked to speak to a manager I was ignored . Sent my mom there to get a pedicure since she was coming to visit me. Needless to say it was the worst pedicure she's ever gotten. They don't line the bowls for the feet which is gross when it would cost pennies to purchase the liners for them and help with keeping it more sanitary. On top of that the girl didn't even put a base coat or top coat over the single layer of polish she put on my moms toes. Really? One be single layer of polish is ridiculous. I feel like I got away with robbery!!!! You truly never know what you are going to get with Groupon. It's like playing Russian Roulette, you're either going to get a great deal or die trying. Either way it's an adrenaline rush. I purchased a Groupon online for Carlos Alonso. Full highlights and a trim for $62. When I entered the salon I was pleasantly surprised! It was very nice and packed, which is always a good sign. There was champagne and orange juice on the table up front, I figured I must be in a dream! I mean it was Cooks champagne, but still! I requested Ombré from Carlos and he really did the best Ombré I've ever had. My hair looks amazing!!! He's fast too. He informed me he's been doing hair for 16 years and I could definitely tell he was experienced. He did my hair in about an hour and 15 minutes. I have very thick, long hair. Last time I got it done it took the person 4 hours! I don't know why this Michelangelo of hair is on Groupon but go get this deal! My experience started with a receptionist who was too busy on the phone to even smile at us. Our appointment at 3pm began around 320. That wasn't a good way to begin. This is one of those "Spas" where you have to walk through a noisy hair and nail salon with loud top 40 radio stations blaring to get to the calming ambience of the massage area. Not very calming at all. My massuese was great (Theresa) and afterwards I got a pedicure. My friend however got a very light poorly done "deep tissue massage". After repeatedly asking for deeper work, she gave up. They did give her half off but still... an hour wasted for her. All in all, I think I'll go elsewhere for a really relaxing massage experience. This place is ok as far as waxing goes. They have this thing called "Sugaring" and it's ok but it had me itching a couple days later. The process is extra long too. I went cause they had an opening and the place I usual goes to didn't. I guess my hair will just grow til I can get in cause that was extremely uncomfortable. My Master Stylist Betty, is truly amazing! I have gone to her for about 3 years now. She's knowledgeable, attentive, quick, but has a great attention to detail. You can trust her for cuts and color (which I have yet to do) but with her clients photos, they come out amazing. Sweet and very caring as to how you want your cut done. My husband and I visited Milan to receive a couples massage. We were greeted and taken to the back with no wait. We were given a couples changing room, which we loved! Usually we have to change in different rooms. After changing we were immediately taken for our massages. The massage therapists were wonderful and at the end they put a hot towel on our backs, again this was unique to this spa. After our massages we were taken back to our changing room which had an attached private steam room! Wow, we definitely would highly recommend Milan for couples! We WILL be going back! read more

They asked me to put deposit which was $50 dollars and after I got my service, they just charge every single stuff separately and they even made another transaction for massage tip however, they never reimbursed the deposit that I made. I asked the lady if they took off the deposit and she said yes but they never did. Plus the person who gave me a mani and pedi, she did the worst job ever I experienced. Omg. My wife and daughters had been going to this salon for a little over 2yrs. The services, customer service, and management practices of this establishment have declined in such a manner that it is actually quite upsetting. The latest (and last) experience that my family had with this business involved a gift certificate which was not honored in the manner which was agreed upon at purchase, nail services which were over charged and of the quality that my teenage daughter could have done at home, and an aroma massage which was performed at such a harsh intensity level that my wife required medical attention a couple days after the appointment. What was most disturbing was that the manager informed me (at the time I made a telephonic complaint about the services, that afternoon) that their business policies had recently changed (without consumer notification in any way) which meant that my gift certificate would no longer be honored per the agreement I had made at purchase. Additionally, she informed me that their services rendered are to be considered "satisfactory" so long as a manager did not get directly involved during the appointment. However, despite multiple complaints made directly to the attendants, no opportunity to speak to a manager about the issues was made nor did the attendants make an attempt to tell my wife of the existing conditions of a manager's complaint being required in order to have corrective actions taken or refunds made. Milan's quality of work, professionalism, and managerial care have severely declined over the past few months. Be wary of reviews of this business which are older than 6 months. They have now lost the business of my entire family from these recent issues and, with any sort of luck, others will give their business to establishments offering a level of quality which this spa no longer feels it owes its loyal customers. read more

I have used her for years; she's the best esthetician in El Paso, and you need only look at her beautiful, glowing skin for proof that this woman knows what she's doing. After asking her advice about my damaged yet superlong hair, Suzette advised me to get a cut from Stephanie, a stylist at Milan, and I'm glad I did, because boy, she did an amazing job! This place is nice looking that's why the two star and not one. I bought a groupon for $40 for the 75min luxury pedicure, there was nothing luxurious about this pedicure what so ever! The chair did not massage the pedicure itself was very poorly done the lady didn't want to exfoliate my feet because she thought they didn't need it then the little she did do with a diver agitator she left my feet rough didn't buff them out or nothing so now I have to fix my own feet. I try and get one done every so often in between me doing them myself because of where I live right now in Carlsbad NM does not have any quality spa services. I came to this place with high hopes of really being pampered but was sadly disappointed the technician very gently applied some sugar scrub quickly removed it then applied some lotion to my feet and half of my calf let it sit for 10min then rubbed it in. I had to ask her to cut or file my toe nails to make them at least even which she did very poorly and only did one foot! so there was no chair massage no foot massage and the pedicure was very minimal and poorly done ughhh!!! Needless to say I will never go back there again! I'm so glad I didn't pay full price and this is why I buy groupons In hope to find a good place and if there not at least I didn't pay full price this was not worth the $40 maybe $10 or $5 for the product but as for the service $0! Don't bother. I went in for a hair cut and color. My services were going to be $180 with everything I wanted done and I agreed. Well I'll start that my stylist cut like 4-5 inches more than I requested. My hair was to lower back and I wanted it 3 inches past my shoulcers. ( I showed her where exactly) Well my hair is to my shoulders! 4.5 Hours of work later my hair is totally different than I wanted. It's grey in some places, blonde, and brown in others. If she could not do what I wanted she should have told me. Instead she tells me that since I have way less hair she didn't use as much product and instead of $180 it's $125 but I have to wait until Tuesday for her to fix it. Wtf?! Got my hair done by Carlos a couple weeks ago. Not satisfied at all. He rushed it and took every short cut he could (no pun intended). Asked for color highlights. He used a lightener and it was too light so he just put toner on it. The highlights were painted on and looked too blunt. Told him all the things I didn't like and even showed him the picture of what I wanted. He said it looked like the picture but it clearly did not. I bought my mom a gift certificate ($300 Mom's Day Package?) and just to start this off real quick of why I'm pretty upset and even writing a yelp review is my mother lost her brother Feb. of 2016 and only months later she lost her dad June 2016 which these two, my grandpa and my uncle, were the only two she had, so of course i wanted to treat my mom to a nice day and i chose this place ASSUMING this would be the ideal place. Anyways, so I recently saw my mother, and to see her hair wasnt done i of course asked why she didnt get the service done. She tells me, after finishing up with one of her services she has to wait for the stylist or whomever to get ready so she wanted to get her phone from her purse which was in the lockers (which the lockers are located near where you'd get a massage) and one of the ladies had told my mom it was fine for her to go get her phone. This is my moms first time here of course so she tries to go to the lockers and a masseuse stopped asking her what she needed etc. and told my mother she was unable to get her phone because they were giving a massage. Obviously miscommunication from front end and back so my mom naturally talks loud and of course a little upset she couldnt get her phone and had to wait in line to get it. So, my mom instead asks to use the restroom. As my mom came out the caught the MASSEUSE talking about my mother to another employee about how she was and of course she's not going to make a scene so she went with my sister who i also paid for a service for, crying that she wanted to leave. Naturally, they ask what was wrong and when my mom explains and masseuse is claiming she never said anything which my mother isnt delusional or even the type to start something for the hell of it and so, this masseuse was basically arguing and calling my mom a liar even my sister had to step in and tell this masseuse to stop arguing with an upset customer! No matter what, a customer is a customer and to argue when you know theyre upset to even where they cried? To not think maybe, she's having a salon day because she's going through some hard times? My mother did say a nail tech i believe did compensate her for the services she didnt get but im absolutely furious I trusted this place to give my mom a nice experience. Its been awhile since my mom did something like this as well after losing her mom years back so I just wanted her to feel happy or like herself. Anyways sorry for the long story but never again, disappointed I wasted 300$ for my mom to cry and be treated the way she was. Did not have a good experience here. I bought a Groupon for haircut and highlights with Carlos based on the good reviews, but as a blonde doing color this was a really negative experience for me. First, the colorist immediately recommended color correction, said my color 'washed me out' and then later pointed out if that if he had his way he would cut off 5 inches of my hair for it to be healthy. My hair isn't in the best condition of my life, but it's really not that bad at all- certainly not to the level where he needed to be so incredibly abrasive about it. I appreciate when a professional gives me advice because I'm not an expert, but I also expect a salon/spa experience to be fairly relaxing or somewhat pleasant and not contentious. In the end I just got color on my roots and skipped the highlights, and my haircut literally lasted 10 seconds- I didn't need a ton taken off, but even a regular trim usually warrants 5 or 10 minutes. When he asked me if I wanted my hair blown dry, I was so confused because I couldn't believe 3 snips constituted a haircut or even a low-maintenance trim. I'm not super happy about the color on my roots either and it doesn't match the rest of my hair very well. I left without a blow dry because I just wanted to get out of there. He made it really clear that he thinks my hair is in awful condition and I should 'start completely over' as well as cut a ton of it off, but I'm not going to do a rapid overhaul on the first time I'm seeing a new colorist AND there was no need to be so pushy and difficult about it when I said I wasn't as unhappy about the condition and color of my hair as he was. I hope this review is helpful to other blondes who might be considering getting a Groupon for color or highlights here- I've been getting color and highlights for 20 years and my hair has been in worse shape than it is today, and I've never gotten such a strong negative reaction from a colorist before or had anyone say I needed color correction. Maybe the other colorists at this salon would offer a different experience, but I wasn't happy with my services. I've made an appointment for tomorrow for another hair cut elsewhere because I have split ends and what I got today was nowhere in the neighborhood of even a trim. read more

Where to I even begin.....I was recommended to this establishment, with all it's bells and whistles. So I thought why not? Walking in the place it isn't as amazing as people made it seem, the receptionist desk was not a welcoming thing to first see it looked old and not taken care of....or didn't match the rest of the "look" they were going for in the salon, also the receptionist was not polite, or welcoming....also it took her awhile to ask if I needed help. The salon is pretty dated and not very amazing to be at. So finally I get my service and I do have to say that my stylist was amazing and I will probably only continue going because of him. But one thing I didn't like was having to wait because there wasn't enough WORKING shampoo bowls. Also when he placed me under the dryer you get an amazing view of some of the other stylist sitting outside smoking and drinking wine. I finally got a view of the owner of the establishment and it was amazing to see how she only would attend to her clients. I had looked at her and said hello and she simply looked at me and continued with her day. Overall I was not satisfied with the management or the salon......but was very satisfied with my new hair. read more
