Before I booked we had a video consultation and she answered all of my questions and gave me a ton of information to read about what to expect during and after the treatment. It made me really comfortable and excited to make this investment. After the service, she had a kit with products and instructions on what to do and expect for about 2 weeks following. I booked a touch up at about the 1 year mark because it's generally recommended. However, once I got there, she took a look and informed me that I didn't need a touch up, but just a brow wax. I really appreciated this level of honesty and integrity as a business owner. There is a huge price difference between any permanent makeup procedure and a simple wax so she didn't make as much as she would have expected today. However her commitment to doing what's best for me as a client and my skin really made me feel good. I don't really do any lash services but would definitely patron Faux Real if I should in the future. Also, my eye brows look incredible! She is very knowledgeable and friendly. The space is clean and welcoming. I appreciate the ease of scheduling online and even paying the deposit when I book. All scheduling and payment is through the Vagaro app, which I appreciate because you can link a credit card there and not have to go through any weird cash app or Zelle situation at the completion of your service. In May, my husband gifted me a spa day with a package of a massage, facial, and mani/pedi for Mother's Day. The facial specialist was so kind and professional bur unfortunately had a cough that persisted and she then gifted me a free salt room coupon for having to take many breaks during the facial service. She was the best part of the spa day. The other two girls (very young women) who did my nails and massage absolutely were not licensed professionals and it was more exhausting than relaxing. Since I had the gift coupon, I booked the salt room and decided to give another chance. On arrival everything was nice and I was given instructions and guidance on how to use the salt room from the front desk staff Abby. The service was for 45 minutes in the salt room. While I had no problems in the salt room itself, I was rudely surprised by a woman (the other front desk staff May) who slammed the door open and shouted at me that my session was done which abruptly startled me. She informed me i could leave after i gathered my items since i had shown my free salt room coupon on arrival. I walked over to the locker room and collected my things, glanced at my phone to see that almost 2 HOURS had passed. I ran to the front and inquired about the time, very disoriented from the way my service ended and now seeing the amount of time that had elapsed. The two women Abby and May looked at each other then confirmed that it was indeed 2 hours after I arrived. I was shocked and tried to figure out why my session went over, informing them that I had now missed another appointment that I had scheduled for 2:30 pm (it was already 2:45 pm and I was over 20 minutes away) and May LAUGHED and stated that they forgot to set the timer. I had no words and rushed out to navigate the problem. There was no apology, no slight consideration for my time and to make it worse, I am still pumping for my child (currently in my first year postpartum) and this threw off my entire pumping schedule for the rest of the day. I will not be returning to this spa and I hope this information helps others avoid a staff who clearly have no regard for other people's time.
