When a salon in Cleveland has online booking, my interest is immediately piqued for a variety of reasons. I booked my appointment on Vagaro (and even changed it a few times) and the process was seamless! I was very nervous about being in a salon during COVID. But as a Bridesmaid in my friends wedding, I had to get my nails done. After spotting The Beauty Room's good reviews, I decided to give this spot a try. On a less busy day/time, I felt the safest I could have in a salon. I truly appreciated that the staff wore their masks properly and social distanced. Because I was there mid-afternoon, it was very quiet. Jessica did my gel pedicure and she was fantastic! Trust me, there is such a thing as a bad nail professional. But Jessica is highly-skilled and even color matched the color I needed to match my dress. She's super personable and I liked her so much I immediately followed her on Instagram! I wish the pedicure chairs were adjustable. I'm tall and felt very crunched up and uncomfortable, but not much can be done about that. The salon is super clean, spacious and newly built. They have a free parking lot behind the business...but don't be fooled by the "you'll be towed" signs. You can park there as long as you're at the business. So I recently moved to the Tremont area from out of State. I walk my dogs by this place every single day and thought what a cute little place. Close to my home so it would be convenient to get myself set up for services like, manicures, pedicures etc. First of all... you will NEVER get an actual human that will answer their phones so you are forced to leave a message on their recorded greeting, I guess that would be okay but GOOD LUCK getting a call back!!! I have called on two separate occasions and each time, nada, zip, ziltch. This place is a joke, I mean seriously, not even a call back lol. For their prices listed on their website for their services, I'm "pretty sure" there are far better options with better customer service. Awesome time at The Beauty Room today. I went in for a dermaplane facial bc of my acne problems and had a very positive experience. I could tell Hannah, my esthetician, knew her stuff from the responses she have me about my cystic pimple problems. She did not push product on me but did give me some samples, which I appreciate! She was also fun to talk to and professional. I found this place by searching online and was impressed by their websites user interface. It was really easy to book online, which is a big plus. The location is Tremont on Cleveland, which is such a cool part of town. I parked on the street but apparently there is also a back lot. read more

Great place to get your facial or massage. The place was decorated with exotic decorations and bright and fresh interior. The waiting room was a little bit tiny, but the place wasn't extremely busy. The hostesses were extremely friendly and helpful what I appreciated. I'd bought the package of 3 massages. I booked my session with Renee, and i was highly satisfied with her service. I liked that Renee during massage was quiet and not talkative- I was able to relax and feel the benefit of the massage. After the massage, Renee told me that she also did facials so I booked next session for the facial. Again, I had a good service and my face felt smooth, hydrated and well stimulated. Renee used "Image" cosmetic in my face. I'd never used this brand before but it smelled and felt on my face well. Come and try this place. I went in Thursday evening for a gel manicure. The nail technician who helped me was nice enough, however, did such a poor and lazy job on my nails. My nails do not look like I paid to have them done, they actually look like I painted them myself. I've honestly never had a gel manicure look so bad. Not even 24 hours in and the paint is chipping, all of my nails were filed very uneven, the nails were painted very uneven, and she cut my cuticle and it was bleeding most of the day yesterday. I'm not for bashing places on yelp and negative reviews in general. This spot was just a miss and a waste of $38. read more

One of the owners gave me a refund and offered a free service which I didn't take. The gel start chipping only the third day after it was done. And they got one of my finger bleeding. It is still painful. I called today to book a massage but the lady didn't told me that the time was already booked before I call and I didn't find out till I arrive. Waste of my time. read more

Update to Previous Review: I feel compelled to update my review from 1 Star to 5 for the excellent response I received from an owner. The owner is refunding my manicure and offered to let me try again on the house. I ultimately had to cancel my appointment because of a work obligation, but I am left with a far better feeling about The Beauty Room and was blown away by the customer service response. They really do care about the work they are doing and the way they are received in the community. My shellac manicure took almost 2 hours and began to chip 3 days in. I emailed them. I was offered a free fix via phone message, to their credit, but by that time my shellac began to chip further and peeled right off of my nails. I've been getting shellac for a long time. This has never happened. Ever. Save yourself the time and money. The photo I attached is less than a week in to my shellac manicure. My advice would be to carefully research stylist, because I saw, both from being there in-person and then from reading online, that quality varies markedly by the person you sign up with. I really, REALLY wanted to like this place and although they treated me well, my gel manicure simply wasn't good. Pros: Online scheduling is super convenient; staff is super professional, real, and kind. The space itself is very cool and in a great location. Cons: My stylist was very new - had only been licensed for about a month. The manicure took OVER an hour and 15 minutes, which absolutely blew my mind because it just took FOREVER. I had to ask the stylist SEVERAL times to repaint nails, as they were all uneven and not well painted. Then, super unfortunately, the gel manicure began chipping and falling apart within 5 days....the fastest this has ever happened to me. I ended up just taking all of the gel off - the paint job was uneven anyway. Getting it redone elsewhere this week. read more

Finding a new barber is never an easy task. Found this place while exploring Tremont and thought I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did! Raquel knew exactly what I wanted-a fade from a clip no.1 down to a half guard (basically just before bald). Her barber skills are legit! Overall excellent experience. I'll preface this by saying that I've had my nails done OFTEN with gel polish and have never had these issues before. 98% of the time, my nails last two weeks or more and very rarely EVER chip, just look grown out. There were bubbles in the original polish on multiple fingers (in light pink it's REALLY obvious). I even had to go back the very next day because one of my nails had already chipped (which they redid free of charge). Now less and a week and a half later, I have the polish separating from my nails and chipping off. What a waste of money. I had pictures to attach, but they wouldn't upload. read more

I love love the Beauty Room! I have been going since they opened and love my nails every time they do them. They last so much longer and they take their time making your nails (and toenails) perfect. It's also such a beautiful clean space. They also started doing spray tanning using Tan with Kare and Renee does a phenomenal job. It's so natural and last for days. I got the take home spray to use between sprays and I couldn't believe how well it worked too. No orange and smells good! Definitely going here now for my spray tans. read more

I really loved how helpful, efficient, and nice/chill the manager and my technician were. The place is clean and nicely decorated. Nice airy atmosphere and easy parking (esp for being in Tremont ). It was nice how they had snacks and coffee and things available, although I didn't have the time to get any. BUT i gotta say, for how pricey it ended up being... the work was so not the quality. I got a petite pedicure and a gel mani for my bday. The pedicure was mostly nice. And really well done. I even commented how much I loved this tech and how well he was doing especially for being so new. Because he was doing really well, I thought. I liked how we interacted, too. But I realized after the gel mani that: a) I had gotten snipped. My cuticle got cut too much on my one thumb and was kinda swollen for a day or two and bled and hurt lil. b) At least two of the nails gel polish had already started kind of lifting or peeling sort of? In addition, some of my nails shapes weren't really matching and had a few bubbles in them, etc. I don't know if it was just because it was the end of the day or if perhaps when I was on the phone for a few parts of the visit it was distracting? I try not to be picky. But seriously, for how much I paid... that was not cool. There are places I go where stuff like that happens sometimes but they charge way less. And they apologize usually when it happens. I was kind of in a rush so I hadn't noticed it until I was leaving, and I'm not a super confrontational person. Hello, new favorite place! I live just down the road from this salon & was excited to try it out, which I finally did when I needed to get my nails lookin' nice before a big work conference. It was easy to book online - you can pick services, appointment date & time, & the employee you'd like - & everyone was super-friendly when I showed up. They were celebrating my stylist's birthday, so I even got a slice of cake! Melody did an impeccable job on my gel manicure, going over the polish a few times to get all the right places & make sure there were no weird brushstroke lines. She was friendly as she worked but not overly chatty or annoying (you know how nail salons sometimes get!) which made for a nice, pleasant experience while she was working on me. The final result was pretty & sparkly & smooth & strong. I love the way my nails look. As I left, I chatted a little bit with Laura at the front desk, & Paul, one of the owners, who were both so nice & interesting. Such a cute salon! I have always been fairly capable at painting my own nails, but on a whim, I decided to let someone else do it. After researching some local manicure options, I opted to try The Beauty Room. As it turns out, this was an excellent choice! I had no idea what a difference it would make to have my nails done professionally, but they looked amazing. My manicurist took her time carefully shaping and painting my nails. My nails are naturally very rounded, so I asked for the tall order of squaring them off. She admitted that might be a challenge, but said she would try her best- she squared them off perfectly! Great salon and spa in Tremont. It's hard finding places you can trust with your hair in Cleveland. Believe me, I've had some interesting experiences. After hearing about the Beauty Room opening, I decided to check it out. Super easy to make an appointment-just book it online (anything I can do online rather than calling in and waiting on the phone is a plus for me). I made an appointment easily on a Saturday, and drove up to the salon, taking advantage of the free parking right in front. When you walk in, it's super nice- clean, modern, with stations for hair and super fancy pedicure stations for nails. They offer you something to drink once you sit down (coffee, bubbly, water, etc) and then you're good to go. Raquel was great- she cut my thick hair (and fixed a previous mistake that a prior salon had made), and really worked with it to get the easy style I had wanted. Now, my hair is really thick and coarse for an Asian girl- but she really worked wonders- I was incredibly impressed after my haircut and even weeks later, it still lays well (which, in my opinion, says a lot). I'm curious to try to get my nails done there too next time- one of my good friends got her mani done and it looked really really good. They also have facials too, which I'm curious about. I came in for a manicure pedicure and wax last week and the nail services were honestly the worst I've received since moving to Cleveland a year ago. The nail tech Felicia started me 30 minutes late, finished 30 minutes early. After requesting a rounded shape twice I still ended up with uneven square nails. I really wanted to rate my experience here better. Scheduling was very easy and the staff was kind. The ambiance is also nice, and when you step inside you feel like you're in a high end salon. However, the pedicure was subpar. It was definitely not worth what I paid. Unfortunately the technician doing my pedicure also grated off a piece of skin on my toe and cut my heel. To give you all some background, I'm an Asian male with thick straight hair and decently picky when it comes to my haircuts. Coming to Cleveland from Columbus was a challenge when it came to finding a new hair salon after getting consistently good cuts from New Wave Hair Salon in Columbus, OH by Chris. In Cleveland, I tried several downtown barber shops and usually found that they were not as familiar with cutting Asian hair, and ended up with a few really bad haircuts--even at premium price points. In Cleveland, quite a few barbers are more comfortable with cutting the finer/easier to blend hair on Caucasian guys, or using a clippers only approach for African hair, but very few can pull off the precise cuts needed for pin-straight Asian hair. After going to The Beauty Room multiple times, I can say that the convenience of online booking, professionalism of the staff, and the consistently precise fade/trim in under 30 minutes that Raquel pulls off makes booking at The Beauty Room with Raquel the best overall haircut experience for $25 you can get in the downtown Cleveland area. As a huge bonus, they are even open on Sundays, which is a godsend for professionals who never have any regular business hours off. read more

If you are looking for a place to get a wax for the first time this is not the place. I scheduled a Brazilian waxing appointment here and I came ten minutes early and had to wait ten minutes after my appointment time which is fine but never had that happen before and felt should have been apologized for or at least acknowledged about. The women who did my wax was in a rush and did not explain anything or give any introduction or explanation about the process. I think it's important because everyone has their own technique. I think waxing in general (especially Brazilian waxes) is a scary/anxious process to go through. I felt like a burden because I knew the person doing the job was in a rush and she really did not do a good job. There was still hair in my bikini area and other areas and I paid for a Brazilian and wanted no hair. She also answered a ft call which felt very uncomfortable and unprofessional to me. I've been to different waxers and I would have to say this was the worst experience I had.I hope no one else to go through what I went through. read more

The hostess was extremely nice and my interactions with the team via email was great and inviting! The photos online and everything up until I sat down for my pedicure made me think it was an up-scale spa. However, I was really disappointed in their overall professionalism once I was in the spa and the services provided. The service providers were not wearing appropriate clothing, I personally do not want to look down while getting a pedicure into someone's shirt, or be able to see through their outfits. I also felt like they were quite amateur, as my service provider even asked about technique right in front of me. The other service provider working in another part of the spa kept making conversation with my service provider during my pedicure which I thought was distracting. When I was getting a manicure, I noticed the nail clippers were really rusty and luckily, they didn't use them on me. Finally, when I was leaving, one of the service providers said my pedicure was "boujie" which I thought was a bizarre comment to make to a client. I brought someone with me and her manicure was really sub-par, as in you can see the different layers of polish! I will not be going back and would not suggest this place to a friend for the amount I paid. read more
