Perfectly simple and customizable menu! The Blueberry Pancakes were exceptional. Kerry's over-medium were just right! The service was impeccable. This is a Diner's Diner. Plusses: 1) Fries or Tots substitution for Home Fries- no problem! 2) Dr. Pepper on the fountain! 3) Orange Marmalade in the jam rack! 4) Cholula & Texas Pete's were the hot sauces of choice! Thoroughly enjoyable stop, easily accessible to and from the Delaware Shore!

Expanded old time diner with short counter and dozen or so tables. Broad breakfast and lunch menu, with dinner awaiting the hiring of another cook for an evening shift. We three road travelers on the way to Newport News were seated at the round corner table in the remains of the stainless railroad car facility and served by a helpful efficient server. First the coffee, hot and strong arrived in a variety of old mugs. Two breakfasts of a Veggie Omelet and Sausage, Egg & Cheese (provolone) on Kaiser came forth from the kitchen, along with a Chicken Salad on Wheat Toast sandwich. They were all decent, but uninspiring. My sammy was made from locally produced pork sausage patty, which was thick and tasty, but the roll was barely a Kaiser and was uber oily from sitting on the grill. Had to napkin my fingers with each bite. The Chicken Salad was fresh, and would have been better with a little extra in the mix like relish or other garnish. Adequate. The omelet looked good next to the hash browns and rye toast, and it was consumed completely without comment by our third. Milford Diner is a popular locals spot, particularly with the older folk, and it deserves credit for providing a comfortable space for the community to hang out while open.

We came on a Sunday and there was a 25 minute wait; we decided to stay and were very glad we did stay. Great, efficient service, very tasty food that felt specially home cooked with love, and fantastic prices. I would most highly recommend this diner!

Had to wait about 15 mins for a table, but I think we also hit the after church crowd.

There was a generous amount of crab meat in a thick creamy sauce made with real heavy cream. The seasoning was perfect. My wife had the Chicken Croquettes with mashed potatoes and mozzarella sticks for the appetizer. She kept pausing to tell me how delicious it all was. Our Waitress, I don't know her name, was very pleasant and attentive. We're from Smyrna Delaware but it is well worth the drive to dine at The Southern Grill in Ellendale, DE. Do not confuse them with a restaurant in Seaford, DE with the same name!!!

They let us know that our waffles kept sticking and they might have to give us pancakes instead. I found that odd. Makes me think the maker was so dirty that they couldn't get it to work. They brought us our eggs and put a slice of raunchy cheese on top. It was like eating plastic. The cheese was so bad it never melted on the piping hot eggs. It peeled off like a molding. The rest of the food was slop. If your dog sniffs it and walks away, it's a sign. We didn't dine in. Good thing because we ended up throwing everything away and driving to Rehoboth. Later we discovered they literally serve rodents (muskrats). Supposedly it's a Delaware thing, but they are the only ones that do it. GAG!

It took a few for minutes for our server to come to the table. She was not overly friendly but seemed to be okay. We ordered a Bacon Omelette with potatoes and wheat toast and a BLT breakfast sandwich. Food was out in a reasonable amount of time, brought by someone from the kitchen. The food was good, nothing great but decent. We did have a cinnamon roll and it was absolutely delicious. We never saw our server again, she never checked on us, and I would have liked some more tea and some more jelly. We waited about 2o minutes to get our bill after we were done, our plates neatly put together and sitting on the table and she never came to our table. We went up other her ask for our check and she told us to just pay at the cash register. So, all in all, not a great experience. I saw other waitresses who were attentive to their tables so I think it was just our waitress. I didn't see her around much so maybe she was doing something else, making coffee's or something. I think the fact that she did not want to bring our bill was the worst. With all the good options around I am not sure I will be retuning but it is worth a try to make your opinion.
