We were treated poorly by the staff. It was super crowded so we ordered breakfast to go. It took about 45 minutes to get our food to go and the woman behind the counter kept looking at my husband like he had two heads. They gave him the food and he paid, he came out to the car and handed it to me it was cold. I assume it was sitting somewhere for a while. I live in Milton but love to shop at the Aldi's in Milford so I looked for a place to have breakfast before shopping and this place was outstanding. It is an unassuming restaurant with a decent amount of seating space both inside and outside. Very clean but nothing fancy which is fine with me as long as the service and the food is good and boy did they deliver on that part. We were seated quickly on a Saturday morning and almost immediately greeted by a very friendly server. We ordered omelets with potatoes and onions and the cinnamon role pancakes. Everything was delicious. The portions on the potatoes were great, although my husband would have preferred them crispier the server told him to ordered them deep fried next time. All of the food was excellent and the pancake was to die for, every bit was a pleasure. I loved this place, it was everything I want in a great breakfast and I will defiantly be back. read more

I ordered the same breakfast I always do ever since when they first opened 20+ years ago.....the big breakfast (originally the 222) Nothing has changed but the price over the years! Great diner! Packed with locals enjoying each other's company and comfort food. Ample breakfast features scrapple (Milton, mid level, better for restaurant fryers), eggs, pork roll and the standard meats, big pile of hash browns, if you're a fan of rye, they use seeded (yay). Oh my goodness! I had heard rumblings about these cinnamon roll pancakes so I finally came over here to try these. They absolutely live up to the hype. Everyone was super friendly too. The place is very much like a down home old fashioned diner feel. You feel like you're home. Amazing place. I wish it wasn't always so busy but...you can't knock a place for being too busy. Superior breakfast at West Side Restaurant in Milford, DE. A little hard to find it what appeared to be a warehouse district in the older part of town. But, GPS got us there and after a quick drive around we found the entrance to the smallish parking lot, and the front door inside the covered patio. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, with our server easily subbing tater tots for hash browns and refilling our coffee in "to go" cups so we could take them with us. My Chicken Fried Steak with two Sunny Side Ups was excellent. The steak was flavorful and moist and absorbed the runny yolks well. The tots were crisp without being oily, and the Sausage Gravy (on the side) was delicious and great for dipping the taters in. Son's Patty Melt and Fries were the way he liked them - medium finish, so he could taste and enjoy the quality ground beef in the patty. We were both pleasantly surprised by our meals, not thinking that Milford offered anything this good in a drive through roadville along Route 113. Very happy to stand corrected on that score. West Side Restaurants breakfast is incredible. I have visited the location multiple times to enjoy breakfast and every time I am greeted by friendly staff. The located is usually packed with customers, however I've never waited more than 5 minutes for a table inside. (They also have outside seating available.) The only constructive criticism I can give is that the decor is out dated, but I enjoy their "home town cozy kitchen" aesthetic. They serve large portions for a great price. If you choose to visit, order the biscuits and gravy! read more

Went to West Side based on the reviews. I'm giving it a good rating based on the value. I ordered the veggie omelette which was a 3 egg omelette with onions, peppers, tomato, mushrooms and broccoli. It came with home fries and toast. The first thing you notice is that the portion was huge and incredible for the price. The omelette itself was tasty, but a little on the dry side and I was hoping for more veggies. I tasted more egg and cheese than anything else. The home fries were good. The people are very friendly and the service was good. I never liked getting handed the check while still eating, so that was a turn off, but otherwise the service was good. read more

This is the place to eat in Milford. Every item is affordable and tasty. You can expect to be quickly seated and served unless you come on Sunday when it is packed. There are daily specials they post on social media that go outside the more traditional diner options. They are only open from 7-2 Tuesday-Sunday. During the warmer months they have shaded outside dining in addition to the two indoor seating areas. read more
