With a couple of seats inside, most of the dining space is alfresco, so you can bring your favourite furry friend with you. Coffee here is good, they use Reformatory coffee lab for the bean. We've had a number of coffees here and find it to be very consistent. We also feel that the menu is very approachable with everyone's Eggs Benny, Shakshuka, hotcakes, salads and sandwiches to name a few. Being winter, I was Straight into ordering a porridge. It is probably the best I've tried this season. The porridge is a hugely generous serving, made on oat milk with cinnamon, vanilla and topped with blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, poached peaches and some granola. I loved this and recommend you order it! They've also got some tasty little treats on the front counter that make a perfect accompaniment with your coffee. Service is efficient and friendly, all the makings of a good cafe.

From first appearances, it looked like a great spot and it was awash with patrons sampling what appeared to be sumptuous burgers and chips. First things first, I ordered a triple shot flat white. Large. What a treat. The blend was quite well roasted for a full bodied blend with a slight bitterness. Loved it. I saw another patron eating a veggie delight salad. So I ordered it. Wow! The aubergine was cooked to perfection. There was the perfect amount of feta in the salad as well. Absolutely loved it. As a regular consumer of meat, this was a very well made salad which really hit the spot. The ambience in the cafe was a relaxed vibe all about great food and great company. Lots of people, lots of conversations. But it wasn't overly loud either. And every time another dish was being delivered I another patron, I had to stop myself from ordering the same. If you love food, you'll love Cav & Co. In the end, we arrived at Cav on a recommendation. Bloody marvellous and well worth the drive.

Now although my friend says that the coffee is some of the best hes ever had in the Penrith area I'm not a big coffee drinker, so I can't really comment on the quality of the spiced late. What I am is a lover of breakfast food. So I can comment for days on just how good the bacon and eggs are. The all day breakfast menu on offer at the Depot is simple, relatively short but excellent. Everything on there is prepared fresh reasonably priced. Every trip I've taken to the Depot has had me impressed. Not just with the food but with the venue and the staff as well - it's a complete package. The waitresses are friendly and attentive. The furnishings are modern but with a funky industrial vibe. The place is air conditioned (a point that can't be overlooked.) And the scrambled eggs are the best I've ever had. Whack that together with an iced coffee or freshly squeezed orange juice and you've got yourself a perfect brunch.

The coffees were out on our table in no time & the food followed shortly after, about 15 minutes or so later. The Sonoma Muesli was lovely, the yogurt was nice & creamy but not to sweet & the Muesli was crunchy & golden. Much to my surprise, the yogurt & Muesli rested on a generous portion & variety of fresh fruit that complimented the dish so well. The egg omelette was brilliant as well, filled with ham, cheese, mushroom & tomato & a side of sourdough toast. One of the meals alone would have filled me up but the fact that I had to try two meant that I left completely satisfied! The only issue I think the cafe has to deal with is that it is located on Rocky Point Road that did get quite loud at times, however, if you go at a more appropriate time, I doubt that you will experience so many trucks. Besides that, the cafe is great value for money, the coffee is lovely, the food was delicious & generously portioned and the pricing was very affordable at around $15 - $20 a head for coffee & breakfast. It was one slice of sourdough packed & stacked with plenty of flavour & good value for $9.50. It satisfied my hunger & I'd happily have it again. Suffice it to say, the Haloumi/Chorizo Stack was extremely tasty. While a little heavy handed on the aioli, it was still thoroughly enjoyable. In hindsight, I probably should have chosen something a little more conducive to my morning run, but them's small hairs to split when talking about chorizo right? RIGHT?!
