While at the local park he kept pointing to the fire truck so we walked over to get a closer look. By an amazing coincidence there was a small group with toddlers getting a presentation, demonstration, & tour of the fire station. We were outside the gate & kindly invited to join in if we wanted. YES YES YES HOW AWESOME!!! The firemen were SO wonderful with all the kids. To see the truck up close, get inside a real fire truck, & to top it off have an opportunity to hold a real fire hose & turn the water on like a real firefighter, made today truly EPIC!!! Compared to all the other stations I have been to, of course the updated ones are way better. Just the look, the appliances and equipment and not to mention central air... I mean I've been saying for years that some of these other stations need major updates! And if you've ever visited old stations and new stations, you'd definitely see why and feel the same! This station is right next to the park and super close to the outlets. If you've been to the outlets, you've probably passed this station without even knowing it.

Power on the ship was up and running, however their gift shop was out of power & it took slightly longer to get onto the ship with the power being down. Chris was our tour guide on the Chief Engineers Tour and he was so knowledgeable - provided us with so much information. After the Engineers Tour we joined the Missouri Tour and Ziar was our tour guide. He has a great tour voice and was very informative, and provided excellent stories about Kamikazes, WWII and the conclusion of the war on this very vessel. We spent a little over 2 hours on the ship including the tours. Walking the ship solo was very easy and well marked with directional arrows so you do not miss anything. We purchased the Passport to Pearl Harbor with the added tour which granted us access to all the museums and just had to reserve our ticket to the Arizona Memorial. In my opinion, the Passport was well worth the money and we were able to visit all 3 museums, visitor center and bus rides to and from Ford Island. I really enjoyed the time we spend on the USS Missouri and the information we attained from our tours.

As someone who has been lucky enough to visit multiple ships and submarines across the country and see the different exhibits they offer, I think this one might be a little overpriced for what they offer. Don't get me wrong, it is really cool to walk through the ship and see all the different sections and pieces of history, but the ticket price is a little steep (even for military families) and mainly for that reason I don't think I would go back. I also think they are missing some more interactive sections like those offered by other decommissioned ships. Also, they lack signage across the ship and we almost missed a HUGE indoor section because we didn't even know where to go next. If it wasn't because my husband is a sailor and knows his way around a ship, I am pretty sure I would have missed half of the exhibit. Did my sailor husband loved it? Absolutely. Would I come back if it weren't for him? Probably not.
