We came from brunch and it was nice to find a place open in the morning and serving a fuller breakfast. The seating space was small and there was one staff behind the bar and the other staff serving all the tables so service took a bit but our server was helpful and as attentive as possible considering he was covering the entire restaurant. Wow wow wow!!! It was out last night on Barcelona and we were on the hunt for a final meal in Barcelona. My wife found Milk Bar and Bistro on Yelp, and so we had to try it for ourselves. So she made us reservations, which I highly recommend. We arrived a little early, but our table was ready and we were quickly seated. The resturant is very small, with maybe about 10 tables or so. In addition, they also have a bar with 6 to 8 seats. It has a very cozy vibe inside. We ordered a hugh variety of items off of the tapas menu. Of the items we ordered I'd say our favorites were the drunken prawns, the croquettes with mixed seasonal mushroom truffle and a goat cheese cream, and the Japanese style chicken wings. We ordered several items and truly loved all of them. We did order the lazy peppers and padron peppers, and these items were good, they were just not exciting as the other dishes. The service was wonderful. There was never a long wait for any food. After our intial order our food started to show up in about 10 minutes. We had placed another round of tapas later in our meal, and it was also served very quickly. Everything tasted very fresh and was a wonderful combination of flavors. Great breakfast spot in Barcelona!! I found this on Yelp prior to arriving and happy that it was close to our hotel so we could walk. It's tucked away in an alleyway, but there is a sign outside. We arrived just before they opened and were seated immediately. I'm glad we did because it's fairly small inside, and about 10 minutes after opening, they were almost full. Once again, Milk serves a wonderful Eggs Benedict, although this time the eggs and hollandaise were served over something like Texas toast rather than the standard baguette slice we have come to enjoy so much. And once again, Milk's Bloody Mary is the best in all of Europe. I learned from them how to make it at home in the U.S, and it is still tops here in Barcelona. Drinks taste pretty good but are very small for the price, even compared to other places in the area. Drinks were also inconsistent. The same drink (Moscow Mule) was served 3 different ways on 3 different orders, two of which were at the same meal, or did not match what the menu said. The red sangria and bloody Maria were the best in terms of size for cost. Daiquiris and piña coladas are tiny cocktail versions, which felt overpriced given the normal size of these drinks, but it should be noted they are still strong drinks.
