I was in town for a convention, and my friend who had never been to Baltimore before joined me. I had a small list of places that he absolutely had to go to, and so we made time to walk here from the convention center. When we walked in, there was only one person in front of us, and it was the first time I visited and the sweet potato pie ice cream was not on display! I was a little nervous, but then I saw you can still buy it in the pints, so just didn't fit the summer vibes which totally makes sense. They had several new flavors I hadn't tried before, such as ultimate cookies and cream and summer peach. The flavors were out of this world, unsurprisingly. I ended up doing a double scoop of the ultimate cookies and cream and horchata, and it was a great combo. While trying all the different flavors, the owner shared that he had been slammed earlier in the day because BTS was having a concert in town, and a lot of the fans swung by. The only was a little overwhelmed, but it's calmed down and the business was good. I'm so happy! He also spent a lot of time in Miami, which I didn't know. Mango flavor was fresh and not too sweet, just the right amount of tart. Def skip the snoball (WTH is in that egg custard syrup anyway?!)

Not only did they not send the chocolates, but gave me a call the day after Mother's Day to tell me that they were unable to send them because of some logistics on their part. I explained that was understandable, after all it's not a perfect world, and they could still send the chocolates. Working in sales and customer service myself, I ALWAYS compensate the customer somehow if there is a delay or error on the part of our business. I asked, politely, how they will make this right and compensate me for their delay. The woman who called me, very rudely, told me, "You won't be compensated." I explained this delay was not due to any action or inaction on the customer's part, so it is fair to ask for some kind of compensation, a coupon, or something. She got loud and barked, "Well, I'll just cancel the order!" After that I could not accept the order, and cancelled. I cannot live with myself if I knowingly do business with people who treat their customers so poorly and with such a negative and immature attitude. I imagine they get plenty of business, and will survive just fine without me. But my family and I are done with Mary Sue candies, after that inconsiderate and unprofessional customer service experience. Mary Sue candies should have corrected their error, and compensated me for it. Instead, they decided to be short-sighted, selfish, and greedy over one order. By doing that, they lost the business of my family, as well as my wife's family for good. Mary Sue, you get an F for customer service.

When I got home and warmed one up in the microwave... whew. That soft, gooey texture and rich buttery taste? Shamefully good.
