Jessica's class was a fun way to spend an evening revisiting a craft I'd done years ago and really enjoyed. Both classes included all the instruction and tools you could want! The beginner class is 6 people for three hours, which lets you get a decent amount of 1 on 1 instruction when needed. You start out making bracelet cuffs and transition into rings and pendants after two classes. Copper & brass are free to use and silver is extra $$. Once you know you're going to start rings, I would go and buy your stones from S&J because it'll be cheaper!

The 2 hour class came with a small project and that was perfect for us. They have larger pieces that you can do, but you must have patience and time. They also have completed beautiful art on display that you can but. Dave was a great instructor and very helpful! All of the tools we needed were set out when we arrived. I did a moon/sky and my dad did a fish. They have a variety of different colors of tiles to choose from. They also have Tucson classes. Check it out!

They have art studios attached and it was interesting to walk back and see the different rooms; most with some sort of pottery (hence the "clay"). They have lots of finished clay products on display and some were so creative! I ordered a cold brew with some cream and it was so good. I love a strong, cold coffee and this was perfect! I also ordered avocado toast which I made modifications to and only wanted some of the crispy onions on top, which I then ended up taking off. Food isn't their priority, although they do offer a limited selection of breakfast burritos, toasts, etc. Everyone was nice and friendly and overall it was a nice morning!

We were able to get a water bottle engraved and I've been using it daily ever since. I explored the space more and saw that they had several 3D printers, large photo/poster printers, vinyl cutters, sewing machines, laser cutter, metal and wood workshop, and probably more that I missed. Membership is free to MCCCD students, faculty and staff and they charge at cost for materials, which is a great deal. It's open to the public as well and they have membership options. Staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and easy to chat with. I would love to come back and explore more of their offerings!

They give you all the protective gear which is great because it's super messy. The stations have paint and popsicle sticks for mixing paint. I was wishing there were more items to paint/drag with like brushes or palette knives. The employees were cheerful and and helpful. They have an ingenious way to pack up wet canvases that ensured they got home safely with no mess. Definitely a fun activity!
