My daughter attended the school during the summer and for her pre-k year. Her social and emotional growth made during that time was phenomenal. Her teachers were loving, caring and did their best to differentiate for her. They definitely exceeded my expectations while also loving up on all of the other kids. Often, advanced students are overlooked. My Kennedi was not. I'm sad to know that her teachers are no longer at the school (Ms. Kelly and Ms. Laura) but I also trust that whoever my son will be with next year will be in good hands! read more

We had an incident with the teacher and decided to withdraw our daughter from Millcreek academy. We consider that the teacher in charge of our daughter's classroom was not kind in her treatment with her, we had a serious incident and the owner was not present even though her presence was requested. We took our daughter away after what happened, she was there for a period of approximately 7 months. We do not recommend Millcreek Academy for this bad experience. read more

I stopped in earlier to get information for child care. The door was open so I walked In a worker was way in the back and eventually motioned for me to come to her and she said she was calling the director i said ok. I waited about about 10 min a lady came up NO intro and said can i help you? I told her my reason for stopping by and she immediately told me the price so I asked what services come with that since I wasnt given or offered a tour like the last place I just left. I would not recommend this place at all. My child said the police was up there yesterday and the kids were all looking out the gate scared because they didn't know what was going to happen. I enrolled my son here when he was 12 weeks old. I researched and interviewed every single daycare from my apartment to my office, and decided to go with Mill Creek Academy. I was SO nervous as a first time parent to send my child to daycare because of all the horror stories I heard. MCA is NOTHING like that. First of all, your child is less likely to get sick here because (unlike every other daycare I've encountered with my 5 year old niece) they actually do NOT let sick babies/children come to school!! They really do care for the well-being of your children and babies. Second, Ms. Gail has gone above and beyond with her care for my son. I even moved across town and drove 45 minutes out of my way to and from work to keep him at this daycare to be with Ms. Gail (along with every other member of the staff I came in contact with). After a year of being here, I can confidently say that Mill Creek Academy is the BEST you can enroll your child. They put the well-being of the children above anything else. Further, they are incredibly welcoming to new parents, and even encourage calls to check-in on your babies. read more

My 4 daughters go here and they love it. My oldest wants to stay until they close because she has so much fun. I have had to put my baby here after never having to put my older 3 in daycare and have been very happy with the results and the communication with her teacher. When she needed to do extra exercises daily to help with dexterity, they were there to assist with it and communicate this to me. I have enjoyed having my girls at a center that is close to home that I can trust. read more

Not sure how the care is here but if it's anything like their communication skills, I'd stay clear away from here. My husband called here almost a week ago inquiring about their daycare and Pre K. The lady that he spoke to wasn't too sure of the information that she gave him so she told him to email the center for more information. He still has not received any email back so I decided to message our questions to them through their Facebook a few days ago. My son loves this school. All of the teachers are so sweet and the staff are like family. It is one of the few centers I have encountered that is professionally run. I can't see how some of the previous reviews are so negative. This is a wonderful, loving, HAPPY place. read more

NOT recommended! The owner of this place is by far THE most unprofessional person I've ever come in contact with. My daughter came home one afternoon, she was 6 at the time, asking me to play truth or dare. We had NEVER played this before so I asked her what kind of game it was. She proceeded to tell me that she and her "friends" were on the playground, playing this "game" and that a couple of the kids dared her to show her "butthole"! I fell out of my chair. I asked where her "teacher" was and she informed she was no where to be found. I explained that this was inappropriate and went to the daycare the next morning. When asking about this particular incident, this lady/owner went into defense mode, was extremely rude and told me there was no way this was happening at "her" establishment. She didn't want to talk about it, but instead told me that I was pretty much crazy and to never come back.... Which I obviously had already planned NOT to do. Now if someone acting this way isn't a red flag, then I don't know what is. Any other adult would have been open to discussing and not getting so defensive. I know you can't always shelter your children from these types of games, behavior, etc. But what we can expect is the teachers/leaders to be there for them and the parents when these types of things happen. And in this situation, there was NO one! Another one of the many issues I had was safety. The bus stopped at the top of the extremely busy street to let the kids out. Some days there was an adult to see them off and some days there was not. They have a fingerprint scanner and a passcode on the door that is supposedly changed daily. Well, I walked in many a times and the door was wide open and no one was at the front desk. I also witnessed a couple of young adults that instead of supervising the children, were always on their phones. This is not the kind of environment I want my child in! Do yourselves a favor and check out Old Peachtree Academy on the other side of Buford Dr. It's a few dollars more but isn't your child worth it! read more

This owner of the school leads by intimidation. She was unhappy with the unfavorable feedback we provided to them via email and threatened to remove my child from their program. I informed her that I was OK with ending our business relationship and she then threatened to blackball us with the states GA Pre-K program. We have since pulled out child out. If your child is not popular or dominate they will be left to fend for themselves. I would not recommend them. read more

My daughters (4&2) started here in January part time. I have never had any problems with the teachers or other kids. My babies love to come to school (the few days they go lol) and always have good stories to tell me. I'm not sure how the older classes work. Staff is always kind. My kids are vegan and they are so understanding. This is something other schools give us a hard time about. I definitely recommend mill creek academy to other moms. read more

When we started here my two kids (1 &4) had never been to a child care facility. Mill creek has been so personable from the get go they are not a chain and the owner is almost always there and loves to hear how things are going. I highly recommend running as far away from this place as possible! This place is disgusting! I witnessed the kitchen staff wearing sandals and picking her toenails while making food for the children! The office staff is horrible and rude and the owner is arrogant and leads by intimidation. On a daily basis there is a red headed toddler in the kitchen and unsupervised wondering the halls which I would assume is a child of a staff member. Most staff members are glued to their phones. My son has been going to this daycare since he was 1 year old and he is now 3. I have been searching for something better for him. The staff at this establishment is beyond rude. I go in on a daily basis, and I greet them, they answer when they please. The owner has a very unwelcoming spirit. They just want your money. These people do not care about your child(ren). They all have horrible attitudes, and the only reason my son is still there is because he is attached to his teacher and I hate to have him go somewhere else and have to start all over again. My Oldest daughter went here for Pre-K. If I had had any other "school" experience I would have pulled her out that day. Her teacher was a yeller and my child responded poorly to this. She began biting her nails and actually had an accident after she had been potty trained since the age of 18 months. When I went to the owner I was told there was none of this going on just must have been the few times I showed up early to pick her up and waited in the hallway as to not interrupt class. Just those days she yelled at the kids. She also told me I was "one of those moms the elementary school was going to roll their eyes at and get sick of" "this is just how school is these days."
