Mellow & calm day to see a movie. As soon as we saw the cashiers they mentioned how they were not taking cash only card. Went to watch Moana 2. We grabbed a small popcorn. The price for two during matinee 12:30pm was $14 but with a small popcorn it was $22!? Also their water fountain was not working so I was charged .25€ for a water cup. Sadly the water from the soda fountain tasted like perfume or a mix of a fruity drink. Note to self: Take snacks & water rather than buying them. Also, the rewards expire after a year. Sadly if you work your way to a free movie ticket it can only be used for a movie that has been out 2 weeks after the release date and it expires! ;-( Like one of mine did. read more

A recent trip to see the new Dead Pool movie convinced me never to return. The Theatre has been visibly deteriorating over the last ten or so years, but staff has tried to keep things as clean as possible. The last several trips have shown that cleanliness is not a high priority any longer. The filthy lobby was the first indication, and unfortunately, it went downhill from there. I have never seen a dirtier screening room. It looked like trash had been pilling up since early in the day. The carpets are so dirty that the patern is completely hidden behind the dirt and grease. read more

Never bought tickets from a concession stand. Found out that you can do it here! There was a notice to go ahead to the concession stand to buy the tix. I was thinking really? This theater is small and really cute. Even the parking lot was small to equally match the theater :) Movie was for 7 something at night it was surprising to find this theater in the middle of nowhere sandwiched between homes really. Somewhat serious problem here. My girlfriend ran out to the car to get whatever she forgot, and I bought a pack of peanut butter m&ms real quick while she was gone. It cost $4, which is crazy, but I did it to surprise her because I am nice and she loves peanut butter m&ms. She comes back in and goes to the counter to get popcorn, so I walk away trying to be slick. She says "do you want any candy?" and a girl behind the counter said "he already bought some!". SHIT DON'T TELL OTHER PEOPLE MY BUSINESS GIRL! Seriously. What if she gets on me about my weight and I'm trying to sneak them out of my pocket when she's distracted? Blowing up my spot. To be clear, I'd normally spend no more than $1 on a pack of m&ms, share size or not. Three-quarters of the value there was in the surprise, halfway through the movie when she was all high, when I could be like "oh hey girl look at these". Nice seating that seemed fairly new, big theater and nice big screen across the whole front of the theater. The sound was good. It get like the theater got very dark, including during the previews, which was good. The parking lot is smallish, but this is set apart from other businesses and there's plenty of parking spaces generally around, albeit not right in front of the theater. They show several first-run blockbusters and the prices are great compared with big city movie tickets. They offer some discounts with appropriate IDs. There's a bit of overlap with the Mjnor Theater, but they have different vibes. The food and drink are basic movie theater fare--soda and movie theater popcorn. The staff are friendly. There were about 11 minutes of previews, which is far better than the 25 minutes of previews and commercials at big chain theaters. read more

Small town movie theater experience at it's best. It's not your overpriced mega-plex, but they do have all your current movie picks. We decided to take a break from the holiday festivies for a date night. We came to see "This is 40" on Christmas Day. It was a fun movie and I enjoyed the theater. Reminded me of small cozy theaters that I went to back in the day, except with excellent graphics these days. Outisde of the whole huge theater 3-D IMAX explosion, there are still small theaters around that offer great movies with cozy seats and everything you need to make your movie night worth every penny. read more

There are only a handful of movie theaters in the area here, and this one is probably the best in Humboldt. By nor-cal standards, this cinema is fairly new, with comfortable seating, decent screens and usually pretty good sound quality and the sound does not travel from screening room to screening room - that often happens in some of these newer places. This is a small town theater, not one of those multi-mega screen places. Shows current running films. Usually fairly quite and easy to get in except for openings of certain films and it can be busy of the weekends. All the standard faire of most movie theaters, without all the extra expense. Their matinee tickets are still $7 before 5 pm. Plenty of parking and easy access off School Rd. and Central Ave, behind the Ray's Shopping Center. Best theater in Humboldt! If you live in the Eureka/Arcata area it is worth the little drive for several reasons; it's clean, the seating is awesome, and they have a friendly staff. It also seems like the screens are larger than other local theaters. read more

For a theatre I think they are pretty alright. They always play the new release movies and the help has always been very professional and kind. The prices for snacks are expensive but that's to be expected. Me and my kids go often and sometimes I let them go alone with friends. I definately recommend this theatre to everyone. read more

Hell, it's decent. Matinees (or student discounts after 5) only run about $7 at present, so if you happen to be oversaturated with retro cinema and/or the npr-style artsy, hipstery stuff, you can veg out to some pop cinema here without much hassle or huge crowds. While the size of the theater is fairly small, the screens, sound, and seating are multiplex quality. Come around on a weekday and you may have a theater to yourself. Standard concessions are available and the bathrooms are decent. Not much else to say. read more

This is a decent multi-Cinema ... Picture and sound quality were​ very good, but the chairs are slightly on the uncomfortable side for me.

I had a few hours to spare after landing at the nearby airport. Staff was friendly, prices were fair and theater had plenty of seating. My only complaint is that the chairs sit so far upright that it's uncomfortable. Nothing too bad. Also a plus to see all female staff running the show. Very cool! read more

In the way of movie theaters it is four stars. Comparing this venue to all local venues, I would give it five stars. The theater is clean and shows the current movies for Humboldt. I have had no trouble with service either. Parking is plentiful, but when a movie is just released, it can get busy. Why not, it is the best theater in the area for new movies. What is up with this place? It's always something! They forget to turn the lights out. Their always experiencing "technical difficulties". The box office is at the concession counter, so the lines are twice as long. They ran a slide show advertisement DURING the movie, at a critical scene. What the hell, man? What the hell? I'm from Traverse City, MI, so I get really excited about good theaters. For instance, I was usually willing to travel 3 or 4 hours downstate just to see a movie in a decent theater since the ones in TC itself sucked. I mean, really sucked. So I was excited that just 3 miles away from my new home there is a theater that at least somewhat resembles my idea of what a theater should be. And that idea is encapsulated by one very simple thing: the seating. The chairs need to be soft, they need to be spaced well, and they need to have optional armrests. I know this sounds silly, but trust me. If you're obsessed with movie-going like I am, you'll understand the necessity for good seating. A lot of things can be forgiven when good seating is involved. HOWEVER! Mill Creek Cinema, despite its excellent seating (though not slanted like it should be) disappointed me. For one thing, a popcorn combo is 14.00 dollars and there is only one choice. I couldn't believe that! And second, while we were watching the movie, the sound suddenly cut out for about 5 minutes total. I don't know if that's something that happens often, but... For the most part, Mill Creek Cinema is a good theater. If you don't want to eat anything. And also if you don't mind missing parts of your movie. But, it beats The Minor when you want to see something mainstream. read more

My boyfriend and I like to come here every once in a while, and it's always fun. Last night I got to see my very first 3D movie (Jurassic World), the 3D effects were incredible and the movie itself was really awesome. An okay small-town theater. Just have one issue: I wished they could, would honor their rewards card members. After being told a number of times that my membership awarded me one free movie pass, the first time I go to apply it, I'm unable to apply it. They simply tell me it's a technical thing, try again later. What's the point of having the card? This is my favorite theater out of the three around the Eureka area. They need to keep the place nice looking because, despite being the newest theater, you can start to see the wear and tear. The carpet looks old, it needs some paint, some screens have minor, and once the movie's on, usually unnoticeable blemishes. It's almost ten years old and it's starting to show, but it's still not too shabby. Just worn in. And I've been in some bad theaters, but these are always clean and never sticky, and the seats are all in good condition still. And the theaters are roomy. They usually have all the movies the broadway and Minor have, but you definitely need to travel around to see a movie every once in a while because sometimes each theater can have movies the other theaters don't. Mill creek is sort of the "mama bear" theater to me. It's just right ; ) and it's got the best seats (although the balcony at the minor is cool too). Also, The staff is friendly and fast, and I've never had any problems. Some could maybe smile more, but overall they're fine. And they might have stopped doing this, but if you order food that might take a few minutes they'll bring it to you in the theater. Also, also, I wish a theater would have a cheap movie night, like 5$ tues or something. None of the theaters do that. There's some new management running it now, but hopefully nothing changes accept for some updated aesthetics. read more

The staff is friendly, chatty about the movies, very helpful, and pretty knowledgeable about new/upcoming releases. The seats are nice: the kind that lets you lower/raise the arm rests, cup holders in the arm rests, nicely padded. The first time we saw a movie here, in spring 2016, my son got food poisoning from the icee machine. I had to stay home with him for two full days. I told colleagues about this later and they said, "we never get drinks there because they don't clean the machines." I now wish I had reported it to the county health inspector. Several other times we have been here they allow employees to cut in line in front of customers or decide to have lengthy chats with colleagues or customers who are friends while people are standing waiting in line. It also took me at least three visits for the employees to get me signed up for the rewards club, even though each time I was assured I had been signed up. When I asked them whether they could do anything about their mistake(s), they just shrugged and said nope. Those points were just gone. The crowning glory of this s&%^show of a theater was tonight, when first the 3D on the movie we were watching failed, then the picture blacked out, then the whole movie stopped. We sat there for 20 MINUTES before someone even bothered to give us an update. Then the employee said, "It will be fixed in just a minute." Instead, we waited another 15 minutes. This has not happened me to in a theater in at least ten years but the last time it did, I was offered a refund and free tickets. That was in a theater, however, that understands the basics of customer service. When I decided to leave after 35 minutes of sitting there, I approached the front counter. Of course an employee had to be waited on before a customer. When I finally reached the counter and told the employee I was leaving, he did NOT EVEN OFFER TO GIVE ME A REFUND. Instead we got crappy passes to see another movie ONLY. Really?! After you wasted an hour and a half of our life? I asked to speak to a manager and she said, "All we can give you is new tickets." What? Where did the management learn to manage, Donald Duck's school of cranky cheapskates? I'm pretty sure they have to give you your money back and I may contest the charge on my credit card. DO NOT SEE MOVIES IN THIS THEATER. You will regret it. Also when we went to sit down, we had to look for clean seats because a lot of them in the theater were FILTHY. I cringe when I see from the movie billing that a good movie isn't shown at the Mill Creek theater. I travel to Mill Creek from Eureka, because it is clean,odor free, and the seating is the best in this area. The only drawback--I suspect this theater is guilty like all the local theaters of selling leftover popcorn from the night before to the early noonish movie goer. I've grown wiser--so I ask when there will be fresh popcorn popping before I pay a handsome price for a small un-yummy bag of stale popcorn. read more

This place is great! When I'm in a big city theater, I miss Mill Creek's lower prices and personable service. It's newer than the other theaters in the area, and has one of the biggest screens around. When it's a slow night, you can chit-chat with employees about movies like you're a regular in a coffee shop. When it's crowded, the managers are always rushing around and it makes me feel like they care. It's a pretty small lobby in a small town theater. I go early to skip the wait. Every theater I've been to, I'm always amazed that people show up right when their movie is scheduled to start and are surprised that there's a line - go a little early! Better yet, call ahead and ask if they expect a line - the employees here are super helpful with helping you plan ahead. I was there during a slow weeknight once when the power went out, and the couple people working the slow night did the best they could to simultaneously update everyone in all the theaters, try to see if the movies could be fixed upstairs, and handle everyone leaving at once and wanting refunds. I love the snack bar - they'll even fill up popcorn halfway so butter can be put in the middle if you ask. One time, a soda had run out of flavoring and tasted watery, and they apologized and replaced it without any hassle. The rewards club gets you FREE movies, popcorn, and drinks (instead of just discounts like city theaters). I love movies. I love seeing them on the big screen. I love the event of going out to the theater. Mill Creek is a clean, friendly place to go. read more

My husband and I checked their website this afternoon to choose a movie to go see for the evening. We chose to see Baby Driver, which was scheduled to play at 6:45pm tonight. We arrived at the theater only to be told that Baby Driver had been cancelled to show the new Planet of the Apes movie. This was extremely annoying and upsetting. That much was true the seats were comphy . the girls at the concession stand where sweet and curtious . HOWever there was an older gentleman who i guess kept asking my son for his ticket as he was refilling my soda. the fist time he asked my son saisd my mom has it WICH Idid. but i was in watching the movie . i think the fact that my son had a soda from the place would prove taht he was a ticket holder . THE second time my 10 year old son went to use the bathroom and the older man asked him again if he had his ticket . my son is sais no my mom still has it we never need a ticket to use the bathroom at the eureka cinima 8 , THE MAN SAYS TO HIM rudely Weel ur not in eureka kid ur in mcinnleyville .
