My hygienist was super sweet, engaged in fun conversation, and was very gentle with the cleaning (a nice change from my previous dentist office haha). I feel really lucky to have found such an awesome dentist so close to home! Second Street is location in the perfect spot in downtown St. Charles. I have had nothing but pleasant and easy cleanings. When I have needed to get cavities filled the team has ensured I am comfortable and not in pain. They even provide dental cleanings for young kids. I have 2 kids (5 and almost 3) who have gone and the team does really well with them to try and keep them entertained (put on a show while they are cleaning) as well as incentivize them with prizes afterwards.

Billing errors on their end were ignored, and when concerns are raised, they are minimized rather than addressed. The front desk made scheduling, communication, and payments unnecessarily stressful, and there is no way to avoid interacting with Christina. I cannot recommend this office. If you value your time and sanity, it's better to find a dental practice with staff who are trained, organized, and willing to take responsibility.

They did not bill the correct insurance and my husband tried working with their office to have this corrected for MONTHS and every time he spoke with someone they had no knowledge of what he was calling about. At one point he received a call from their offices asking "do you want more fillings?". Over a year after the services we received a bill for nearly $100. We have tried calling to discuss this several times and never received a call back until today we were threatened with having the bill sent to collections and told "this is policy," I would think their policy would be to bill correctly and in a timely manner.

I am not as brave as my son, and am quite a baby when it comes to the dentist. For the x-rays that the tech started with, they had the news on the TV that is in the room. A very nice touch, and great for someone to focus on when they have a bad gag reflex (ugh). Then I got to see Dr. Rathi. She's so sweet and also very informative. I had a lot of tartar, so she had to numb me and do a deep cleaning, root cleaning, and scaling. I don't know what much of that means, but it meant I had to get numbed. Anyways. I hardly even felt the numbing needles, and even during the cleaning she asked me several times if I was ok, or if I felt any pain. NONE. It was great. Even if I was shaking, because I'm a huge baby. Her entire staff is amazing, and I am making my husband switch over to their office. They are very high tech, and I feel Dr. Rathi is on her game with the latest techniques and technology.
