One of my kids is afraid of the dentist and Dr. Murphy put him at ease and has provided him with great education about his oral health which has resulted in him not having any cavities since starting with him! I had a great experience with Dr. Murphy. I had a painful tooth that needed root canal that my own Dentist thought needed an oral surgeon. However since there was a pandemic going on no one would see me for over a month. My daughter found Dr. Murphy. He saw me in a timely manner and took care of the root canal. Ill tell you one thing... as a person in construction, who has had his share of cuts bruises etc.. and then a very blessed person who escaped 3 drownings, one motorcycle accident, one assault by 4 guys in Chicago, one crushing scaffolding accident... I am pretty used to pain.. I sleep with it and wake up with it.. with no pain killers.. Everything except a tooth pain. Last week, out of the blue.. just when you least expect it...just when i have to go on an out of town trip....in a week... i had this searing pain develop in my gums.. i was eating pain killers like candy.. I did not have a dentist, and made a few inquiries and everyone was booked up, for at least a week or two, and then thanks to Kathy Cone, who introduced me to her family dentist, and who too was raving about dentist Doc Murphy...i got seen the very next day.. immediate attention.. i was so thankful.. because of the pain. after temp checks etc.. I barely waited 5 minutes after filling out forms, before the Doc was examining the situation... A couple of 3D x-rays on the fanciest machine I've ever seen, and i was back in the chair, for more pics.. and then the doc went to work again... This gentleman did not miss a beat... Very calm, extremely professional. The place was great..... neat and clean... with family pics of the doc on the wall. does actually make you feel at home in the waiting room, so you already know your not going to get Attila the Hun going to town on your teeth with an axe hahahh. (you can tell im one of the scaredy cats lol). in fact everyone was great... lol. i think they could smell my fear... but put me at ease... After doing some more work, and writing a prescription for antibiotics.., the doc called me in the next day... and i was quite impressed again.. as soon as i got in the front door... everybody was hailing me by my name as if i had been coming there for years... even the x-ray tech who barely met me for 3 minutes.. Maybe I'm old school, but as much as i appreciate someone who knows his trade, and Doc Murphy definitely does, I really hold a warm genuine, caring customer service, if you can call it that, in very high regard. And they have it. You know that song from the movie Cheers i think.. "where everybody knows your name".. lol.. this is it.. if you want a warm friendly Irish hospitality, without going to Ballydoyles, this is the place to go. The only thing that sucked, and its no fault of theirs, is that because of this virus, i couldn't see anybody's face.. as everyone was masked up.... .. But i bet there were lots of smiles.. And of course the medical treatment plan was very professional too.. he shows you every thing in detail, with the x-rays on a nice big monitor, with lots of intricate models... answered all my nervous questions about everything.. I gotta tell you...if you haven't already guessed... I was really impressed.... i would definitely recommend him to anyone.. the pain is almost gone, and I'm all lined up for my dental work, and I don't have to miss my trip either. thank you doc murphy and everybody there too. read more

Was with Dr Murphy for 12 years. Have had all kinds of work done. Fillings, root canals, crowns. Never had a problem until recently. Had a molar root canal, then a crown. The crown was chipped so he replaced it. Never felt right afterward, went in twice and never fixed anything. Changed insurance and went in for my 6 month cleaning and to complain AGAIN about the molar. Now he tells me I need ANOTHER root canal on the same one he already did and that it will cost me $1,200 dollars. And sends me to his office manager who has nothing but BS. Finally I tell her I will pay the money if he could give me a better deal. She said she would talk to him and get back to me. Never got back and when I asked her to have him call me nothing was done. Plain and simple he messed up my tooth then wanted me to pay for it when he should of fixed it. Bottom line is he has no sympathy or feelings for someone who has been with him for YEARS. All boils down to MONEY !!! Not only has his BEST employee left but his turn over is crazy... Very. Disappointed and will Never go back !!! BEWARE PEOPLE read more

I'm probably a dentist's dream-always have had bad teeth. Every dentist I had seen before Dr. Murphy had me in a bad loop-have an exam, problems always found then back for the drill...Dr. Murphy just added an extra cleaning and now the problems found during my exams are all but over. And the few times I did need work done it was done as painless as possible. And that's coming from a big baby when it comes to mouth pain. Plus, as a night shift worker I appreciate I can get in the office early. All the staff is extremely friendly as well. I live in Batavia near the office but will NOT hesitate to drive here when I move elsewhere. read more

I've been going to Dr. Murphy for about 2 years now. I am not a fan of the dentist and he makes it a great experience for me. He's always checking in making sure I'm doing okay and He is such a personable person. Dr. Murphy always does an amazing job and I feel so much better when I leave knowing my teeth are clean! Friendly staff, but be prepared....their office calls you every other week to schedule an appt. I finally asked the receptionist if she would please take me off of her "call list" ~~ no problem she says. Three days later guess what I receive in the mail?? My entire family's dental records, along with a note that they will see us for the next 30 days "for emergency appointments only". OK now I've been thrown out of bars; I've been thrown out of restaurants, but being tossed from a dentist's office is a new one for me!! LMAO! It's OK though ~~ we found someone MUCH better & my family had a good laugh!! read more
