I am so disappointed in my neighborhood Bartells. This is the closest drive-thru pharmacy to my…read morehouse. With a family of five, that means they have to totally screw up over and over to lose my business. And that is exactly what they do. The bulk of my complaints are due to the actual pharmacy. They have got to be the slowest pharmacy in Snohomish County at filling medications. I've learned over the past few years that if my urgent care phones in my prescription, you know, an Rx I need quickly...hence the descriptive name URGENT ...that I might as well treat myself to a lunch out and some shopping because it'll be at least 4 hours before they even look at the Rx. And four hours later when I do roll through the drive-thru, I will wait an average of 20 min as they hurriedly try to process my order that they haven't touched for the past 4 hours. In addition to being inefficient, their staff is lacking professionalism. On one occasion, I decided to go inside to fill my prescription hoping for a better experience. While standing in line I heard two female employees gossiping about another female employee. They made no attempt to keep their voices down as the store was bustling with customers. When I made it up to the counter, the young guy tried to make small talk with the older gentleman ahead of me. His opening line was "Have you heard about the plastic bag ban?". Not reading the non-verbal cues the customer was giving, he continued "Yeah, I'm so glad. Plastic bags are nasty." Again the customer was silent. The current proposal is quite controversial right now and is probably not the best way to initiate small talk. Stick to just asking the customer how they're doing and leave your politics out of it. The store itself is bright and well lit. I can easily find what I need on their shelves and the staff working the check out lines are always friendly and polite. I was especially excited when I saw that they were carrying my favorite face serum "Hey Honey Good Morning Serum". I had previously only been able to purchase online, so having it stocked at my local pharmacy was a happy surprise. However, when I went in a few weeks later to purchase again, I had to ask where it went. It was no longer on the end cap I had found it on in a previous shopping trip. The store clerk took me over to a locked cabinet where my beloved face serum was stored with all the cigarettes. Ewww. I understand they felt the need to put the product in locked cabinet presumably due to theft risk, but to store fancy skin care products with nasty cancer sticks, is just dumb. So like many other Yelpers, I am taking my business elsewhere.

9/10 times I go here to pick up my prescriptions, I endure actual trauma experiences. You wait for…read moreover half hour, in line, barely able to stand from your ailment. Then when you finally reach the front, you pray for anyone to barely regard you. I witnessed two of them just leave the store, with 17 people in line, instead of helping us! Furthermore, after you've received a notification on your phone confirming your RX's not ready, they rarely actually are. There is ALWAYS a problem. Walgreen has officially gone into the bin. Sometimes the assistants are kind; the rest of the times they are pretentious, God-complex, megalomaniacs. Find anywhere else to be at the mercy of what is currently (and continues to be, with no silver lining in sight) our Washington State Healthcare regime. We are all lambs to the slaughter.

UPDATE: August 1, 2025…read more I had laser surgery on my eyes this morning and needed to pick up an Rx prescribed by the doctor right away. I had forgotten about the pharmacy being closed for lunch from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM for lunch break. When I arrived a few minutes past 1:30 PM a very kind associate named Michael allowed me to pick up my eye drops, even though they were closing. When I got back to the car in the parking lot, I administered the eye drops and got immediate relief. Thank you Michael for your valuable service. This will not go unnoticed which is why I felt it necessary to update my review. You should be commended for excellent service and I will mention this to Gwen Rigor the next time I am there.

I cannot say enough good things about Northwest Pharmaceuticals Compounding Pharmacy…read more No matter what your pharmacy needs are - you should use these folks... but for folks like my wife who need special treatment, they're a God send. My wife has MCAS, which makes finding medications she can tolerate incredibly challenging. Even very small amounts of fillers, sweeteners, flavors, dyes, or unnecessary additives can cause reactions for her. She often needs prescriptions compounded with the absolute minimum number of ingredients possible, and not every pharmacy understands how critical that is. Mike, the owner, truly gets it. I've been the one working most directly with the pharmacy, and I am genuinely so grateful for the care and attention Mike has shown us. From day one, he has treated my wife's case with seriousness, patience, and real compassion. He has worked closely with her doctors to make sure each medication is compounded exactly the way she needs it, stripped down to the simplest formulations possible. Whenever something needs adjusting, he takes the time to talk it through and problem solve with us. What really sets him apart is how far he is willing to go for his patients. There have been times when our schedule or her health made it difficult to pick up prescriptions during regular hours, and Mike has been willing to meet me at the pharmacy on Sunday mornings when they are formally closed just to make sure my bride had what she needed. That level of dedication is rare. Living with complex medical issues can be overwhelming, but having a pharmacist who treats you like a person and not just a prescription number makes all the difference. My wife is definitely a special case with complicated needs, and Mike has consistently bent over backwards to make it work. We are incredibly thankful to have found him. I recommend Northwest Pharmaceuticals as highly as possible.

This lovely female dog has a condition called Wilson's Disease, and the person who was elected to send me her compounded medication from Oregon was late in doing so. I made several calls to various Compounding Pharmacies in my area, and found only one who could compound the prescription the dog needed. Mike worked patiently and graciously with the pet's vet in Oregon and myself on a very busy Saturday to create the necessary dosage for this animal. Needless to say, Poppy the dog had her next scheduled dosage right on time thanks to this wonderful Pharmacy owner.
