Great place to get out and try your skills! Extremely fun golf course while very challenging. I like the challenge of the elevation changes

Its buried in the woods in my home town of South Hadley, MA. The course is private, so you'll need to know a member to get on. Its fairly expensive even if you do. If you end up playing here, though, you'll be treated to one of the best 18 holes you can play in Massachusetts. This course is very well maintained, and very challenging. There are almost no holes that you can survive with an innacurate tee shot. The course itself is very long, and has difficult shots around its very protected greens. The course was designed by Donald Ross, and you can see some of his trademark elements still in the design. If you' have enough money to become a member here, I would seriously consider it.

Strange I never knew this course existed until a friend invited me to play both North and South courses on one day. Overall it was fun. I played the South course much better than the slightly more difficult North. I'll blame it on being tired. It was a long day made needlessly longer. Both courses are in pretty good shape. The greens had quite a bit of undulation to them, but they ran true. Fairways were also in decent shape. It was a nice day of golf, but made long by poor course scheduling management. We prebooked our 3 tee slots, there were 12 of us. The morning round went off without a hitch. We were scheduled to go off the second round on the North course between 1 and 1:30, about an hour or so after the 1st round. When we completed the morning South course round, the pro informed us there would be a little delay as they had a scramble tournament in progress on the North and they were running slow. Nearly 2 hours later, and little communication, we were still waiting. I'm sure they run many scramble tournaments do it amazes me that thry misjudged completion so badly. We finally did tee off and got the round in as dusk was approaching. I then had an hour and a half ride home to a pissed off wife and disappointed grandson

That was until we were on the 8th hole's tee box and heard someone talking on the phone. It was very impolite given that we were on a golf course and went against etiquette. After asking this person to stop talking on the phone multiple times, we decided to play through because it was obvious that they didn't care about anyone else. Then, this person drove directly to us on the green of the eighth hole. It happened to be the owner. He eventually kicked us off the course after berating us. I even tried to be polite with him and get through the conflict, but he quite literally said "don't sir me" in an effort to get me to not call him sir. All in all, it was a ridiculously bad experience at a shitty course with a surprisingly even shittier owner.

Very fair prices and great quality. We grabbed a pizza and some apps, they were all delicious. Can't wait to get back there to play a round and grab some food. Addendum- After writing this I read some of the other reviews and was shocked. They were so far from the mark iwas shocked. I have to say, Williamsburg is a small town and it does seem as though the small town drama has unfortunately prompted people to strike out against a perfectly wonderful business. Just my two cents.

(Lennon and McCartney) I attended a charitable organization's golf outing on Tuesday and had a very enjoyable afternoon. No, I don't play golf except for a round of mini a few times a year. The grounds are gorgeous, with flowers, landscaped scenery, and gazebos everywhere. The bartenders and servers were all courteous, professional and very helpful. Blackstone cooked a simple dinner for our 100+ guests. It was a nice "make your own sandwich" version with burger patties, hot dogs, chicken and sausages paired with platters of cheese, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, rolls and potato salad. They have a massive outdoor patio with plenty of tables and chairs for us to drink, socialize, and eventually enjoy dinner.

The price of 68 with a cart and unlimited (really worn out and tired) range balls off grass included with greens fees. I never see public courses in CT have grass ranges. They layout wasn't bad. The front 9 was a little tight. Whoever designed the course had to be creative with the landscape. The course was very hilly which I don't mind. Some memorable par 3's. The greens required very accurate approach shots. Most misses were short as approach shots that were right left or long usually required a difficult chip up a slope or ended up in the woods. The bad: Unfortunately when I played on 5/15 (normally a great time of year for growing grass) the fairways were in rough shape with bare spots lots of spots that could have been considered ground under repair. The greens were slow and in rough shape as well. Of all my putts I would be hard pressed to remember one that rolled well. Most putts were bouncing around from the start. Not a waking course at all. In fact they wouldn't let you walk even if you wanted to. I guess this helps with pace of play given some of the longer walks in between holes and the hilly landscape. Overall: Considering the conditions of the course especially the greens, pace of play and layout I would say this course was average at best. Not terrible for the price. I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to play here again. If the greens were grass covered, cut and rolled and the fairways were in better condition that might be a different story. The course does have potential.
