Love this winery! We had a big group and enjoyed time together drinking their wines paired with chocolates. They have both sweet and dry wines. My favorite is the Pinot Grigio. Now I have officially been to all the Wineries in the Bullitt county area off I-65. Not all on the same day but, I did visit 3 out of the 4 in the area same area with another on a separate day. I don't dislike this winery but, it's my least favorite. I'm the only customer in the whole place (YAY) so I got instant service. I did the taste four wines for $5 and got to try a specialty for an additional $2. I tried some dry and semi sweet wines but, I have to say the specialty called the Berry White was my favorite one. I got a plain glass to taste in but got the souvenir glass for free to keep. This glass is the no stem on the bottom, I do like that. I would have given 5 stars if the guy that hosted my tasting was more social vs. antisocial . He was not rude in anyway shape or form but seemed to be a little antisocial this visit. Could be because businesses was very slow (Who Knows). He did thank me when I put money in the tip jar. We told each other to have a good day and that was that. I'll venture here again someday I just don't know when. read more

I am a wineaholic, and will easily go out of my way to stop at wineries during road trips. This one is not too far from the heart of Mt. Washington, and really close to the highway. This winery is gorgeous. I think this one may have one of the prettiest backyards I have seen, and makes for a lovely hangout on the patio. Here you get to try 4 wines, which is less than some other places, but still a good enough portion. I really enjoyed all of the ones I picked out, and even had to take one home... I forgot the name of it, but it had hints of white chocolate and berries! It is a great dessert wine. The man working here at the time was very friendly, and even had paper cups for us to sip out of during the corona era. Millanova is worth the detour, or the drive if you live nearby! read more

Long time customer and visitor to Millanova, but in December I rented out one of the rooms for my wife's 50th birthday party. Beth was such a pleasure to work with from the beginning to end! From the layout to the ambiance and lighting to the service that evening it was all so perfect. I wanted to review them sooner but I had forgotten....just as I had forgotten to follow up on my damage deposit! I got a call yesterday from Beth regarding that deposit returned to me. Beautiful venue. It was over 100 outside so we opted to stay in for the tasting where it was nice and cool. Our host was very nice and educated about the company's wines. We tasted several before agreeing in a bottle for the table. The wine is good, on the sweeter side for my dry loving reds self, but to each their own. This seems to be a hot wedding venue. There were bridesmaids running around, photographs being taken and we even saw the bride. So don't be shocked to be mixed in with some wedding chaos. The cheese plate is where this place does a 5-star rating. Absolutely delicious!!! And so worth the cheap price. Try the Mint Julia and order a cheese tray. read more

Instead of Derby Day activities, my friends and I go wine tasting in the area. Milla Nova was our second tasting of the day, and my favorite of the three. A tasting costs $5 for several samples. They have a really varied and rather large selection of choices. I prefer sweeter wines, and they have plenty to choose from! The most interesting option that I sampled was the Mint Julia. Very unique and refreshing. I don't think I could justify a whole bottle of it, but a sample was great! The ladies working were super friendly. The three people working were easily able to handle our group of 12, with our rapid fire questions and requests and tasting desires. The tasting room is large but inviting. They have a back room that was being set up for a wedding later in the evening. And they have a great patio and outdoor area. We had brought lunch along for a mid-day break, and we decided to eat it here. It was a lovely stop on our wine drinking day! Absolutely would recommend! read more

This was a classy winery. When we walked in, we were greeted and waited on right away. I love the décor and how open/bright. We did the wine tasting for $6.00 which you get a 5 of your choice and comes with a glass. I really love the dark wines and there was a white mint wine that was very refreshing. They had it on ice mixed with the mint wine and pinot grigio. With our tasting, we purchased a cheese plate for $9.99 which you get the garlic cheese spread (Kentucky's local cheese) and sundried tomato spread, apples and crackers. Delish!!! The staff was very friendly and quick. I did not feel rushed. Felt very relaxed. I would definitely come back. There was a wedding going on while we were doing our tasting. The outside is gorgeous. If the weather wasn't so bad, we would have sat outside. read more

This is a beautiful piece of property! A real gem to the area. From what I understand, this was built before those close subdivision came in so wow......great place to buy a house. The lady that waited on us (sorry, can't remember her name) was very sweet, professional and made great conversation about the property and the wines. As she said, this winery hosts lots of weddings and I can totally understand why. This is an amazing backdrop for a beautiful wedding. I didn't care too much for the dry whites but that kind of comes naturally with the Kentucky wine territory. If you visit this winery and you don't try the Berry White, you have lost a life experience. No kidding. I will be craving that Berry White for a long time. This is a great winery with great service. If I lived in the area I would 100% visit often!! read more

If I could give less than one star I would. Very disappointing after coming in from SC to do wine tatsting in the area. I tasted 9 different wineries and this was my least favorite. We were served four tastings in small dixie cups, no crackers or coffee beans in between tastes and sentiment in the bottom of our cups. We had to purchase cheese and crackers. The two ladies working poured our tastings and told us to take a seat anywhere when we were the 2nd party there. The girls never checked on us, explained the wines and acted like they didn't want to be bothered. Very disappointing. read more

Second on my day of wineries with friends! The ladies working were super friendly to our large group and they were able to handle our large group with no issues. They have a large selection of wines and a lot of sweet wines (which are my wine of choice). There was a delicious walnut and honey dessert wine and if you're feeling adventurous, try their Mint Julia, styled after a Mint Julep. It wasn't really my cup of tea, but was still refreshing. They indoor tasting area was large and bright, and the grounds are beautiful, with a large patio on the back where we had a picnic lunch. Definitely check this place out! read more

This is a nice Winery that is located about 2 miles from my house here in Mount Washington. I really like this place I'm not a big wine guy I like beer and bourbon too much but I'll have the occasional glass of wine with my wife. My wife seems to really enjoy wine that's probably her choice of alcohol. And this place I've been to multiple times couple weddings I've been there a few graduation parties different things of that nature or just kind of go up there and listen to the lab and they have occasionally. It's a really nice place got some good music plan the people are nice the prices aren't too bad I enjoy it my wife and I will go up there and just kind of have a good night if we get a babysitter so I recommended it's off in the cut a little bit behind a neighborhood complex but I think we might try to go here pretty shortly once it gets a little warmer out right now it's raining nasty but once I get spring summer we'll have to head up there four out of five I recommend read more

If I go back, I may amend this review. I guess I can't complain too much. It is a winery in Kentucky. But, for the $30 they charge for their reserve cabernet, I could buy 10 bottles of 3-buck-chuck and get the same flavor and quality. Harsh? Maybe. But, that was one of the worst cabs I have had in a while. Call me a wine snob, but a cab should taste like a cab...not a dirty merlot. So, anyway. I tagged along with a rather attractive woman to see an 80's cover band play. It was not too bad. A nice venue for a small wedding or event. Lovely outdoor space and roomy indoor space with plenty of restrooms. However, the wine is novice level. Mostly sweet wines and too many berry varietals. The cabernet is the only slightly dry option, but it is significantly over-priced for the quality. I purchased a bottle of the cab but we didn't finish it because half way through it, my glass had harsh sediment or crystals in it. Perhaps a nice place for an event but not for serious wine lovers. read more

Finally someone in the area knows how to make a good red wine. After being disappointed by so many other wineries in the area, we were pleasantly surprised by the sophistication of this wine list. Nice bold dry reds that'd actually stand up against some Napa Valley wines you'd find in the grocery store. They still have plenty of the sweeter varieties that the locals seem to go for, but the reds are what I was looking for. The property was beautiful and the owner could not have been more hospitable. We'll be waiting for that Reserve X to hit the shelves! read more

A few friends and I visit Mali Nova on a regular basis because we really like the atmosphere and the wine. I really enjoy sitting outside with a glass (or two) of wine and a few snacks. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Since I am a novice with wines I like that staff know what they are taking about and at the very least are familiar with the wines available there. Me, my husband and son attended a wedding here a week ago. The patio and deck were used for the wedding and the inside offers a large tasting bar and a large room for parties to be rented. I am in awe over the wine! I love wine, but I only like specific types of wines like Moscatos, Lambrusco and Sangria. They have several very, very good wines. They have won some contests also. My favorite was the Sweet Falls of Niagara. The description is as follows: A heady, sweet white bursting with intense grapey flavors and floral aromas. Enjoy this one chilled. It makes a great "hot tub " wine. It was spectacular! The prices per glass are reasonable also. I was able to taste for free as part of whatever package the bride and groom had picked and I am going to be buying this yummy wine as its available at our local liquor stores. They have several wines that sound right up my alley and I will be supporting a family owned local business! read more
