Adorable little winery in the heart of Jtown! They had Singo going on tonight. Every Friday is either trivia or Singo. Flight is $10 and you can try any 6 wines. Perfect pours. Even have some frozen ones as well. The CLEMEN LEMON was amazing! I hope that stays on frozen tap for a while. Close at 9pm. on Friday and Saturdays. Perfect thing to do for a date night or night cap before heading home. Staff were so nice and service was quick at the bar! We can't wait to go back :)

My fiancé and I sampled wines from this winery at the Wine and Vine Festival in Nicholasville a couple of months ago and we were pleasantly surprised to learn that they are located near his home in Louisville. The winery is in an urban area--the harvesting and processing occurs in a different location. The tasting room is in a former church so it has a cool vibe. We sampled 6 wines each and since we are sweet wine fans so we tried all of those. We really enjoyed all of the wines and had a difficult time deciding which ones to buy but we agreed that the Red Sangria was our favorite. We will definitely be back--the employee who served us mentioned that they have live music, so that would be fun to check out.

Stopped in here to meet up with some friends and experience a new winery. There was a birthday party going on and several of the guests took up multiple spots so parking was a bit of a pain. Also, with the rental taking place in the larger area, that just left a few tables in the main tasting room. Space is small in the tasting bar area but super cute. Luckily we were the only group in this area for a good bit. We did our tasting at the bar and we were able to share samples between each other. I think we pretty much tasted all of the wines by sharing samples. I liked several of the white wines. They also sell mini-bottles, which is nice if you don't want to purchase a full bottle. We ordered a few bottles to split while we were there along with cheese and crackers. And we took plenty of wine and mini bottles home. There was a brief snafu while checking out due to the discount on the mini bottles but the person working resolved the issue quickly. Overall, this was a nice winery and they had several wines coming up that I'd be interested to come back and sample.

Great wine and super friendly owner. She specializes in sweet wines and takes great pride in the wine making process. This wine tasting room doubles as a venue so it's really nice and there's alot of space. Tastings are $10 for 6 which is very reasonable! Bottles are $17 and they even have the perfect tiny bottles for $8.

They have found the trick of taking Malbec's and Zinfandel's, some of the more bitter wines, and taking the bite out of them.

With limited time in a city,…read morethey're a great way to get a feel for the area and to pick out places you'd like to revisit. Heck, we've even taken tours in our own city! Very fun. This tour was no exception. We had a very enjoyable afternoon, got to see a lot of different things, learn a bit about the history of Louisville, and try some delicious foods. The format of this tour is as such: the bus drops you off at a location for 30-60 minutes, giving you time to explore while City Taste runs off to pick up food from a local eatery. When you get back on the bus, there's a taste (and a drink) to be eaten as you drive on to the next stop. The benefit of this is that you get to experience AND taste bits of Louisville, instead of one or the other. The drawback is that there is sometimes a bit of waiting around for the bus to return. On our tour, we stopped at Schimpffs candy shop, Churchill Downs (where we took a tour), Old Louisville, Louisville Slugger OR NULU (we were given an option), and the Belle of Louisville. Our favorite stop was Old Louisville by far. What a BEAUTIFUL area with such rich history! The food we had was fried green tomatoes, hush puppies, hot brown pizza, pulled pork and potato salad, and Derby Pie. All were delicious, but the particular favorites were the hush puppies and the hot brown pizza. Alongside came a variety of drinks... we weren't huge fans of the flavored beers and wines (vanilla, strawberry, etc.) but we liked the bourbon tastings, the bourbon coffee, and the mint julep at the end. For reference, the food quantity was enough to keep us mostly satisfied but not amounting to a full meal replacement. I wouldn't eat a huge lunch before you go, but I also wouldn't show up hungry. City Taste Tours was extremely accommodating and gracious to our family. I realize these tours aren't geared toward kids specifically, but they went out of their way to make it enjoyable for everyone on board. If you're looking for a tour that's a bit of everything, a "taste" of all tours, this is the one for you. It's quirky, fun, and a great way to spend an afternoon in Louisville. **One last thing I'd mention: we booked a private tour, mostly because we just didn't want to take away from anyone else's experience by bringing 6 kids along. We were surprised to find out after being picked up that the bus was picking up other riders as well. It honestly worked out TOTALLY fine - it was a great couple that came along with us - but I just mention this to warn someone who actually cares a lot about it being a private tour... you might want to double check that they don't somehow overlook your private reservation and add extra people to your group.

The Frazier is now a stop on the bourbon trail and because of that you can learn fun facts about how it's made and the history in Kentucky. Tastings and tours are also available. Cool Kentucky is a favorite walk through and it's found on the main floor. It's the reason the locals should visit. I learn something new each time and people in our state are highlighted in many ways. The Lewis and Clark exhibit remains and is likely the most kid friendly; however, this museum isn't really geared towards kids and they're going to become antsy fairly quick. Rotating exhibits always offer a reason to come back so I like to follow them on social media to see the announcements. Frazier offers an annual beer fest as well during late July/early August. I give them kudos for adjusting their displays and theming over the years to appeal to more visitors and remain open. It's a unique experience. Street parking, don't forget to pay the meter. Discount tickets may be found on Groupon. Annual membership is a good deal too.
