Update: I bought a 21mm strap on amazon and took the hoop off it to add to my old strap. I was able to fit it easily over the clasp just fine. The sales lady said that wouldn't be possible when I suggested buying a strap from her and taking the hoop off it to put on to mine. It's my dead grandpas watch so it has sentimental value to me. Your sales lady did not care at all about it and had attitude toward a younger customer as me. 0/10 experience
