We were visiting from Az and stopped here twice! The service was great, super friendly. Everything was clean and you can tell the fish was FRESH. We purchased the grouper, crab cakes, and royal red shrimp to take home for dinner! Both were delicious. We went back the next day for more of the royal reds! We purchased 300 dollars worth of seafood. The lobster was dead and uncooked before they froze it, (which for those that don't know about proper seafood preservation for consumption) makes it disgusting and inedible. My husband went back to buy me shrimp because I couldn't eat the lobster, told them about the fail of product, asked if he could get some grace on the price and they looked flat into his face and told him no. Bad service. They might be a major name in this community but that doesn't give them the right to serve poor quality food. read more

This is the place to go! All beautiful CLEAN seafood. They are fully stocked with local catches as well as seasoning, some Louisiana oysters, crawfish, and frozen dishes (gumbo, etoufee, etc)! It doesn't smell super fishy inside, they take care of this place for sure. We got bay scallops, fresh jumbo gulf shrimp, a soft shell crab, and some fresh calamari. Millander and Sons Seafood is the go-to seafood market in Carrabelle, Florida, and the surrounding towns, in my opinion. Their Stone Crab Claw meat was delicious paired with their homemade crab sauce, and the large Grouper fillets were fresh and superb. The food items that stand out the most, though, are their homemade seafood dips. My family and I tried all four of them, which consisted of the smoked mullet, grouper, crab, and shrimp. They all had their own unique tastes and blends, which kept us coming back for more!!! If I had to choose my favorite, though, it would be the shrimp dip. The chunks of shrimp meat, green onions, and cream cheese (and a few other ingredients) blended together so perfectly. These dips on crackers with a squeeze of lemon and some hot sauce (if that's your thing) pair SO WELL with some cold beer!!! The staff is also very kind and knowledgeable on all things seafood. They even have an ingredient list of the dips and their crab cakes posted in the store, but you must visit them to find that out for yourself!!! read more

My husband and I are 4th generation Floridians who grew up on the beach and eating fresh seafood. We stopped and bought 2 pounds of grouper, smoked grouper dip and some shrimp. We fixed it yesterday, a day after it was iced down in our cooler. The grouper was so fresh and delicious it tasted like it was just out of the water. Shrimp were the same. Where do I begin? A friend recommended the seafood market to us. We were staying nearby and wanted to cook some fresh seafood rather than dine out every evening. The area does not have a lot of dine out options and we wanted to have a healthy dinner as well. We were in town for six days and we went to the market each day. They have fresh seafood dips made every day. You have got to try the smoked mullet dip and the shrimp dip. Out of this world! They also have fresh fish such as grouper, red snapper, triple tail etc. Other fish options are available as well. These folks are really nice and I highly recommend this place. I am traveling back through the area in November and will definitely make a stop for some to go dips for the drive home. Bring a cooler! read more

If you're looking for extremely fresh, affordable, and quality fresh seafood....look no further! My parents are staying in Carrabelle for a month and I came down to visit them for a week. We stopped at Millender for some seafood and was amazed on how cool and awesome this place was! They had amazing looking fresh shrimp, crab claws, scallops, grouper, flounder, etc. They also had crab dips and frozen seafood like lobster tails, frog legs, and other tasty selections. Also, they had some creole cuisine from NOLA like boudin, gumbo, boudin balls, etc. We got two pounds of big shrimp for 7.95 a pound, some blackening seasoning, shrimp tool to devein/peel the shrimp, and bamboo skewers. The worker today was very knowledgeable and great! I'd totally recommend checking it out! read more

Family-run, friendly, fresh. Bought several different things from them while in the area recently, and we found everything to be more than up to par. Bonus points - I stopped in once at almost closing time and needed to make a trip to the grocery store, and since I didn't want the fish and shrimp to sit in the hot car while we did that, they were happy to stay open a few minutes late so that we could go straight home with our fresh seafood. We were touring the area in our RV, and the locals we talked to recommended Millender's to buy fresh seafood. They did not disappoint! One of the sons was just opening the place, and when he saw us, ran over to let us in. Had fresh shrimp just off the boat, packed in ice with the heads still on. It was around $10 for @ 2 pounds. He apologized for not having had time to size them, but we didn't care. They were all fat, some larger, most medium. We simply boiled them, and they were absolutely fabulous with our remoulade sauce! Since they were so fresh, we were able to eat them over a couple of days. Recommend highly. (Sorry, don't even know if they serve lunch/dinner - we were just at the fresh seafood counter.) read more

This an excellent place to get literally fresh off the boat seafood in Carrabelle, Florida. I learned of this place from my father, as it is right down the street from their beach home. If you are not from the area it can be a little intimidating the first time around. Sometimes it can almost feel like the place is abandoned. Just walk on through into the main refrigeration room and before long you will be greeted by someone with a friendly southern drawwwl....The prices here are rock bottom but the seafood is spot on. Very lovely people, but most of the websites we checked stated that this was a restaurant. Wish it were! The fish was fresh and the deals were good. Be warned that the "shrimp deep" is really just cream cheese and shrimp bits, with a bit of scallion - and not really a dip but a spread. Or at least, it was the day we got it.
