The prices on the menu are a joke. When I asked why I was charged more than what was listed ($16 for the $14 grouper tacos), I was directed to the "Prices are subject to change" note at te bottom of the menu. I was also charged $3 to pay with a credit card. I said I would pay cash instead and was told it had already been processed. I said to give the waitress the $5 they just took from me but instead they added a $20 tip to my credit card after I left!!!!! read more

Found Fathom's Steam Room coming back from St. George Island driving back to Tallahassee. The seafood is so fresh and not fried! Nothing is fried here. We ordered the shrimp tacos, a burger, and the crab legs. On top of great food, there was live music. You can tell this is a local hangout, which I absolutely love!! Ample parking next to the restaurant. We came on a Sunday, so the town was pretty quiet. If you're driving on a Saturday, looks like lots of shops and an ice cream store too. Bonus. read more

Chill place, great as a dive bar with good drinks and pretty good food. Our server could use a lesson in boundaries and consent though as she grabbed and put her hands on everyone thinking nothing of it. (I wasn't the only one in our group who thought it was weird!) Also kinda weird that they don't do fried food but that could be a permits thing out of their hands. It even helps if you're watching the calories and they still have good alt options. Would for sure come back, just hope I don't get the touchy server again. read more

I've driven by this place many times in the way to my favorite beach. Usually I'm intimidated by all the bikers but today I decided to GO FOR IT. So glad I finally did! This local divey raw bar has friendly interesting locals, fabulous food & strong delicious drinks. Sitting on the patio, you get a beautiful view of the bay & bridge & sunset sailboats. Had a lot of fun sitting looking over the marina. We had K. fawn waiting on us at the bar a very nice girl. We ended up staying for hours and talking to locals. Ive been searching all over Carabelle for a decent meal for a Fair price. This place was definitely the best Blackened Grouper I've had while visiting. $15 and you get a huge piece of fish, and some decent sides. Live music, lots of locals. If you're visiting I recommend checking this out, get in early to get a nice spot overlooking the dock. Everyone is very friendly. Can't wait to come back next winter. read more

I thought this place was great for the amazing people, incredible music, and spectacular waterfront scenery. Then I tried the food. Absolutely unbelievable!!!!! The oysters were among the best I've ever had, and some were freakishly huge! And the ahi tuna sandwich just totally blew me away. With Carrabelle being such a small town it has so many great places to eat, and Fathoms may just top the list! read more

We stopped here after checking out the festival. Carrie was our server and she was amazing! Drinks are fantastic, food was top notch. Ordered the grouper sandwich with potato salad. Wonderful little place at the marina. The staff is here are all super nice and very accommodating. The regular patrons that sit around the bar are all super nice and the food is really good too. Our waitress was very personable, friendly and made sure we did not want for anything during our visit. This lotto place is great for a quiet dinner with a few drinks, and there's even live entertainment regularly as well. We will definitely visit again! read more

The attitude of one of their servers change the whole experience from absolutely wonderful to appalling. Deborah was very unorganized, inattentive and extremely unprofessional. She not only was sloppy with the needs of our basic requests but she also made a Facebook post to complain about our table. Extremely unprofessional!! We tip based off service and considering the lack thereof she was given the minimum 10%. I guess she was dissatisfied with that. The cook was fantastic, food was amazing. We really liked that there was a separate indoor eating area as we are a family with two small children. It did become apparrent quickly that the customers in the main bar area were priority. We arrived at 6ish, and we finally made our way out around 9pm after finally getting someone to take our payment (after chasing staff for 20 minutes). As a local we try to support local, and this was the first time trying Fathoms considering we have two small children. We would order take out but as far as eating in we won't do it as Deborah ruined that experience for us. read more

Giving this place 5 stars for the outside dining and very friendly service by Jenny on Saturday!! Stopped by to have a drink and ended up having a few shots and beef nachos! This is where we usually stop for oysters on the drive from Tallahassee to Carrabelle, because there isn't much else. It's a little dingy feeling but I guess that's to be expected being right by the water, and the prices are decent. I'm not a fan of anything else on the menu, but I don't mind since I usually only come here with oysters in mind. Atmosphere is very laid back, come as you are. Service can be hit or miss. read more

Dissapointing. I got the trio baked oysters. Some were super tiny and there was not much flavor. Grouper sandwich was good but the corn on the cob was shriveled and dry. No butter. We never got drink refills either. Just blah so we will not return. Looked like the locals enjoyed the bar though. read more

Cool, very casual local dive bar/ restaurant on the water. Inside dining room was not busy but the outside seating was jamming! Place is super casual and was full on a Thursday at 5:30 pm. Every Thursday is all u can eat Crab Legs for 26.95 (I know, right?) and that seemed to be the reason it was so busy. Live music some nights but Thursday was open mic night. Steamed shrimp were nicely spiced . The Grouper sandwich & tacos were not fancy but were super fresh & and really tasty! Next time through we would definitely stop again for lunch. read more

Local dive bar. Nuff said LOL... Actually it is a must see. Great waterfront views, ice cold beer with a full liquor bar, live music plus food! I love the "wayward" seafaring trinkets strewn all over the place and the open environment, embodying and embracing the outdoors to a tee. Great little place. We ate here on Thursday night for all you can eat crab legs. The beers were cold and the crab legs were hot. We sat outside and enjoyed it until the breeze died down at which time those pesky Florida gnats found us (they find you everywhere in Florida). They also have inside seating. We didn't really look over the whole menu as we knew that we were there for crab legs. Stop by, you won't be dissatisfied. read more

WORST seafood I have ever had. Smallest portions too. The only thing that was good was one dozen oysters. The other dozen was so gritty we had to rinse it at the table with our water. The waitress was so sweet though. The girl who brought us our food kept trying to take our drinks and plates before we were clearly finished. The atmosphere was great though. Staying at the RV park and was able to ride our bikes the 2 miles to this place. Went in for oysters and drinks and lo and behold they were out of oysters!!! They had $5 margaritas, so we decided on a liquid diet and sat and enjoyed the beautiful day! People watching was at a premium as the locals seemed to be out in abundance! The tacos were okay, nothing I would race back for. The oysters on the other hand, just no! Small, overcooked, and chewy. Pricey for a lunch that we both left hungry. 60$ plus tip for 2 orders of tacos and a dozen oysters. No drinks. We won't return. read more

We have eaten oysters literally all over the US. Fathoms by far has been the freshest,most delicious oysters I've ever had. We were at an rv resort in Carabelle,Fl and found this place online. It's sitting on the water and has a very eclectic and unique design. It's a hole in the wall you wish you'd find! The fried grouper sandwich was excellent, I have no complaints about this place and next time we're in town, we'll definitely stop by. Great local bar with a spectacular water view. We pulled in as the sun was setting, the water was reflecting a lovely purple light and dolphins were swimming by. The outdoor bar has a super quirky decor and is also neat and clean. The drinks and service were great. We will be back fo sho!!! read more

They weren't just the typical throw some old bay on and dump a ton of butter in variety. The flavor was unique and rich. I joked with Cliff that I thought about drinking the juice and he said he had people order bread just to sop it up with. The fried grouper and oysters were outstanding. Big, flaky chunks of grouper, perfectly breaded and fried. The breading was just right. Light and crisp. Not heavy or greasy and the least. Ryan, the young man shucking the oysters, is obviously an expert, and each oyster was perfectly shucked. The beer selection is small, but excellent. I recommend the Oyster City Hooter Brown Ale and the Estrella Jalisco if you're in the mood for something a bit lighter. I can't say enough good things about this place. We'll be back... tomorrow.

It was quite crowded so there was a 30 minute wait. We didn't mind because there was a lot to explore and plenty of seating outside. There was a mini golf course, a gift shop and two more dining rooms. Both of those had a bar, dimmer lighting and live music plus one had outdoor seating. We didn't know they had other dining rooms so I told the hostess First Available. We ended up in the family dining room. Not complaining; just informing you that you do have a choice. You can get drinks in there but it doesn't have the atmosphere of the two bars. We were seated and ordered a Coke and a Coke Zero. I tasted mine and it had this awful muddy flavor that lingered. I looked at Jenn and she had the same look on her face. I don't know what was wrong with those drinks but they were so so bad. We told the server and she swapped both for ice tea. Sadly the tea had the same dirty disgusting taste. I don't know what's in the water there but it almost made me retch. We didn't order anything else to drink. We both ordered appetizers next- I got coconut shrimp and Jenn got the Buffalo Skins, basically loaded tater skins. Both were delicious!!! The appetizers were generous portions and quite filling. Jenn didn't want an entree after that but I ordered one - the southern fried chicken sandwich with a loaded baked potato. I should've followed Jenn's lead and skipped the entree. By the time it arrived (which wasn't an unreasonable wait) I was full, quite thirsty and ready to go. The sandwich looked very good, as did the tater but I couldn't eat it. I asked for a box and took it all back to our AirBnB. I did nibble to taste the fried chicken and it was quite good. I'm a fried chicken snob and quite picky. It was hot, not too much breading, well seasoned and the fillet was juicy. The only down side was the sauce on it. It was awful! I used a napkin to try to wipe it off. The server did ask me if I wanted it and I said yes (it was listed on the menu with the sandwich). I should've asked for it on the side. If you order the chicken sandwich you might consider asking for the special sauce on the side. I'm sure many people like it but for me it ruined the sandwich. I did bring the sandwich and baked tater back and will eat it later if I can. The baked potato looked very good, not too small and very well loaded. I didn't taste it though so I can't tell you much about it. They brought the sour cream separately too. Smart! Now I can reheat the tater. I didn't try any of the seafood except the coconut shrimp. I have to say it was excellent-large shrimps and a generous portion. I didn't need the entree at all. The place seems very popular and I will suggest giving it a try. I didn't notice anyone else complaining about the drinks so I don't know how to explain our experience with the Cokes and the tea. Neither of us could drink even one drink of them. I read reviews after we left and one even mentioned the delicious water. Maybe tuck a bottle of Aquafina in your bag or pocket, just in case.

The staff was super friendly and the dinner there was so tasty each night we dined. The first night we had the blackened seafood platter and the egg rolls for an appetizer. Both were so good! We closed the night with the chocolate cake and it was amazing! The second night we found out it was shortstaffed but we couldn't tell. It was only because they had a limited menu that we even found out. I had the salmon with the wedge salad and my husband had the Alfredo with salmon. And again, we had the chocolate cake! The drinks were good. They have live music on Saturday evenings in the beer garden which is a lovely place to dine as well. We are looking forward to our return.

There's something special about sitting outside, feeling the salt air and breeze, and watching the water while enjoying fresh seafood. In an area where dining options can be a little limited, Angelo's feels like a destination. Our server was wonderful - friendly, attentive, and always checking in without being intrusive. For drinks, I ordered the Panacea Painkiller, and it was excellent. I'm a huge fan of painkillers and this was one of the better ones I've had. The kids all got virgin piña coladas and daiquiris and absolutely loved them. We started with popcorn shrimp which disappeared quickly. The kids all ordered the crab claws from the kids menu. We didn't realize they would come fried, and while that's probably exactly how most people prefer them, our family doesn't eat a lot of fried food, so I personally would have enjoyed them more broiled or steamed. That said, they were very tasty, and the kids loved them - especially one child who acted like it was the greatest thing he'd ever eaten. For my entrée, I ordered the whole char-broiled red snapper and it was absolutely delicious. I'm a sucker for a whole fish and they nailed it. The charred flavor was fantastic, and the lemon butter sauce that came with it was incredible. I'm also glad it wasn't fried, which let the fish really shine. My wife ordered the shrimp scampi and loved it as well. By the end of the meal, we were all completely (overly) stuffed. Overall, the combination of great food, friendly service, and the beautiful waterfront setting made for a memorable dinner. We definitely plan to come back to this area for future vacations, and we'd happily return to Angelo's. Next time, we may ask if the crab claws can be prepared broiled or steamed for the kids, but that's just personal preference. Great seafood, great views, great service. Happy customers.
