Some people like the African dance more which is more of an interactive class with live drums. The moves are more basic than Bollywood which is more choreography based. Love the instructors! The price is similar to other dance classes (10 punch card for $100, unlimited time!). The only thing I found difficult is finding parking since it's downtown. I had to pay $8 for a parking lot nearby. So not sure what the parking solution there is but I love the studio!

The studio is beautiful and has a professional dance floor which feels great on my (older dance) body. The live percussionists made the experience complete. This was my first African class and I'm addicted! Class prices are so affordable compared to other adult offerings in the area. $12 drop in for a 1.5 hour class. Other studios charge as much as $17 - $20 for a single hour! The only criticism I have is that the class actually started 10 minutes late. There is no designated receptionist or administrator to take payments so it looks very stressful for the teachers to try and keep track of everything all at once, especially when students swipe their own card for class payments. The credit card machine didn't like some of our cards so I was forced to pay cash. The cash I had on me was for something else. Overall, good experience, I would go back but knowing that check in is a nightmare.

Let me be the first to say that I am just not one of those people who are uber fit. I dislike most…read morephysical activities, (i.e., walking, running, aerobics, doing anything that requires moving my joints). That's not to say that I don't do physical activity, I just am typically not a fan. That being said, I could completely see Baile Dance making me want to be (and stay) physically active and fit. I recently went to a Zumba class, which turned out to be taught by one of my favorite instructors, Enrique (also instructs at BodyWise Fitness). While I'm not particularly good at Zumba (my hips actually do lie), I find it to be so much fun. Knowing how great of an instructor Enrique is, I'm sure that the other instructors are probably just as great as he is. This studio opened fairly recently, so the studio is gorgeous. The interior is bright and large with light hardwood, large mirrors, a good sound system, a clean bathroom, a beautiful chalkboard wall, and ample storage for your things. One of the things I like most about it being a dance studio is that if you're like me, you sign up for classes at the gym, but you don't go to the rest of the gym. I'd rather just pay for what I'm getting. Overall, I'd give this new studio a try, you won't regret it. Plus, maybe you'll actually like exercise (or at the least dance) when you do.

The space is simple and beautiful and I've only ever seen people leave happier than they came in. I can't say much about the other classes except that when I've seen the end of them, people look like they're having a good time. I love that they offer classes of different intensity levels and styles for different fitness and comfort levels, and doing the ten class pass that you can use at any time was a great deal for me! People who go quite often would definitely get their money's worth from the unlimited monthly pass as well.

Enter through the double doors; take the stairs up; and then make a left. There are storage caddies when you enter the actual studio. They sell cute things near check-in area (clothes, stickers, cups, etc). There are different workout rooms, showers, restroom stalls and lockers. The place is clean and bright. Liquid Motion: very sexy dance moves and how you can incorporate them into whatever kind of choreography because they are so basic but VERY necessary to make the dance pop out and run very smoothly 3. Sex kitten university: this class was fun and I enjoyed learning the dance, basically a class where you can let your sexy run wild! I did have a little bit higher expectations on this one just because I thought we would be learning more of the small details that make a dance sexy, so like where to place your hands or eye contact etc. Would still try it out again! 4. Find your sexy: very sensual dances that make you wanna dance for your partner or in front of an audience. I really enjoy this class because there are some dance moves that you say "wow I can't do that" but by the end of the class you are doing that EXACT same dance move the instructor showed you! 5. Confident with joy (beginner): very high energy class and you always wanna bring the best version of yourself! You have such a workout without actually feeling that you're "working out" . At the end of the class there is a lot of emotion because you allow yourself to be vulnerable but it definitely gives you that boost you need. Overall, I've been going to these classes and I look FORWARD to go to class. Mel and Katie (2 of the owners) are usually present at all times and dancing/teaching you! The other instructors are sooo friendly and open with everyone and have such a positive attitude it gets addicting. Just wanted to mention also that heels are encouraged but not required for the classes other than that the prices are SUPER REASONABLE!! There is literally no excuse for someone to not try pole!

The owner is always thinking of ways to benefit the community and see that all students feel loved. Even though they are a neighborhood studio they are growing and their auditioned performance companies are improving consistently with each year requiring more commitment and hours spent training. It is a fun and creative place to dance where teachers are allowed to bring their own flavor and ideas. The owner supported my desire to teach an Adult Jazz class.
