I was throwing up for years and the nurse kept playing doctor instead of referring me to a GI doctor. I had to go to a different doctor to get a referral to the Mayo Clinic, for which my symptoms were serious enough for a 3 week admission. Now they abruptly cut off refilling one of my prescriptions with no warning and didn't call it in temporarily despite the fact that I had made an appointment. I will be finding a new GP.

Well here it is allergy season and I am once again getting hammered. This office was about like…read moremost experiences, some great, some not so great. Julie was a sweetie and there was one loon at the front desk who had to be someone's spouse. She was out of control nasty. There were also nice, normal receptionists over the time spent there. I can't say that treatments over a three year period ever helped me. I think immunotherapy one part science, one part quackery. I have tried everything short of moving to Siberia. I think doctors should at the least prescribe something for pain if they cannot help people. On a scale of one to ten I am at an eleven at the moment. I find Doctors are a waste of time generally with the exception of Orthopedists if you break a bone. I hope you have better luck.

I cannot express enough how awful the office staff is. I had the test done on a Thursday and they received them two days later on a Saturday, yet didn't give me the results for almost two weeks! When they finally did, they gave them via email without any further direction. I emailed back with questions and they emailed a second time stating that I had two procedures scheduled for this Friday (??) but didn't say what to do to prepare, where to go, or when. I called the office for clarity and was told it was a mistake! The office manager got on the phone and was very dismissive and still offered no apology or direction. Unfortunately, this puts my health at risk, so despite actually feeling like the Dr may be good, I have to go elsewhere. A doctor who can't manage his office staff is disappointing. A staff who treats patients with utter disregard is unacceptable. I would avoid this practice at all cost. FYI, there were several similar reviews to mine that have obviously been taken down. Hiding incompetency instead of hiring better staff?? The office manager, Lindsay the reception, and Farrah who sent the inaccurate emails are clearly inept at their jobs. I hope this dr takes note.

I went to Dr. Story when I was bitten by a dog on November 11, 2021! I was given a tetanus shot…read morewhich was necessary. I was sent several bills for this visit. I spoke to Medicare and was told that it was covered under Medicare Part B because it was medically necessary since I was bitten by a dog. I sent Dr. Story's office an email and asked them to resubmit the bill with the correct diagnosis code. Dr. Story called me and told me that it wasn't covered and I needed to pay the bill of $92.18 which I paid immediately. He told me that he would give me the documentation if I wanted to resubmit the bill. That hasn't happened even after two written letters to his office. No one even calls or writes me back. I don't understand since it was such a simple thing to do!!! Needless to say, I am disappointed in the way this has been handled. I am out the $92.18!! So beware if you have an insurance problem!!

I wouldn't even consider a different Internist. The staff is friendly and easy to work with. One time I lost one of my medications and they worked into the weekend trying to find a pharmacy to fill my prescription early. I'm very happy with Dr. Story and his staff.
