You cannot bring drinks in from the casino that it is in which is normal and expected. The seating was terrible!! It is those folding chairs with fake cushion jokes together. I was sandwiched between my husband who is a big guy and a bigger woman. He had me and an average size man next to him. These seats are for people who are not a pound overweight. No thigh meat can go past the seat or it affects the entire row so you can imagine how I felt. Luckily the husband of the lady next to me unhooked their chairs and the other guy left for another seat. Since this is a music venue, it does function best at that if it is for dance floor use. We were close to the stage so we had a nice view. There were also the two screens showing the comedians. There were levels, all with the same seating, which made it easy to get a good look. It is cozy, not to large to get a bad seat. Try to pick your seat in the end if you are not waifer thin.

This means you hear everything the way musicians and vocalists are meant to be heard. Seats are regular size so if you need more space buy two. Great place and keep the shows coming.

It was economical, too, so we had quality food while spending a reasonable amount of money. I had the catfish BLT, which was a simple catfish burger with the most basic ingredients. Yet the catfish itself was so tasty that I didn't even need ketchup or mayo for the burger. It was so seasoned that it definitely made the burger an enjoyable experience. My partner had the kingfish platter which was essentially catfish as well. But then there was a small cup of coleslaw that we both thought was the best we've had, mainly because they didn't use mayo but some kind of vinegar to supplement the taste. And then my partner had the deep fried pecan pie and I had a taste of it. Even though I am not even the biggest fan of pecan pie, I really enjoyed that one and I think it was because the deep fried aspect along with whipped cream complemented the gelatinous material in pecan pies (don't know how to call it). There was music 365 days a week in the club, and particularly we were there during the annual Sunflower River Blues & Gospel Festival, so it was extra special. There were visitors all over the world attending the festival and many great bands played in the club. The amount of mess on the walls in the club speaks to the historically and culturally rich aspect of this club and of this town. Definitely a 5 star experience.

It also is a name that I cherish, and that means a lot to me because that was the name of my grandmother who I have a tattoo of on my hand. And when I realized that they sold merch with that name on there, I was even more excited and happy that I came here. I ultimately initially wanted to come for the experience and the ribs, but I got so much more. The live music was so entertaining. I really enjoyed my ribs, mac & cheese, and beans and my two cocktails were refreshing as well. Them ribs just completely fell off the bone and were so tender that you could eat them with a fork. The mac & cheese was seasoned and so creamy and I now understand why the waiter recommended that I order it as a replacement for the coleslaw because I hate coleslaw. The staff was really great. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

The decor is awesome, with pics of old timers on the walls and cool colored lighting inside. There are two levels inside, and a patio outside. There is a 10 dollar cover charge, but worth it for the music. Drinks are strong, beer is cold, wings are meaty. Great location in the heart of tourism on Beale street.
