Don't do their CSA. Greens are always wilted, root veggies mold extremely quickly, and I had an experience last week that was the last straw. My neighbor knocked on my door the other day and said Mrs. Miller accidentally delivered my CSA box to my her doorstep. When I emailed Miller Farms, I received a response from Mrs. Miller herself asserting that, instead of taking responsibility for her mistake, she 1.) definitely delivered to the correct address and 2.) my neighbor definitely had stolen my box from my doorstep. WHAT? When I asked my very confused but honest neighbor about this, she came over with my delivery box, cash for the vegetables she had taken out of the box (because she thought her church had delivered vegetables to her), and a Ring camera recording of Mrs. Miller walking away from her door. Mistakes happen and are forgivable, but partaking in actions and words that endanger the bonds between neighbors is unconscionable behavior. Don't give these people your money - there are better farms and more honest folks out there. read more

HORRIBLE products and customer service My family and I were really excited to try farm fresh, and were contemplating purchasing a CSA share. After the service we received, I will not waste my money on this place. We ordered lamb chops. The option was by half pounds for $10 each, so we ordered one (half pound). We got one lamb chop, which was 0.249 lbs. When I called for the rest of our order, I was told I only ordered one, as the website stated. I was looking at the website as she said it. It wasn't one individual chop, it was 1 half pound. When I said that made their lamb $40 PER LB. Her response - "You need to realize lamb is expensive." NO, NOT $40 A LB EXPENSIVE. Then I was told to email, because she couldn't help me. I emailed, and got completely blown off, with no response from anyone. In addition, the vegetables were overripe, some soft in places. Nothing was good quality at all. Wish I had read all the horrible reviews on here before I had wasted my money. read more

We had so much fun going as a family!!! We got to have a tractor all to ourselves (we got there right at opening) paid about 120$ four four people to fill a ton of bags. We got to pick carrots, potatoes, chilis (spicy and delicious), all kinds of squash, pumpkins, dill, cabbage, kale, and onions!!!! They also had a beautiful flower field!!!! Miller Farms deserves zero stars. I placed a delivery order with Miller Farms last Sunday for Wednesday delivery. I ordered two bags of supposedly a "variety" of "fresh", "seasonal" produce. What I received was a $25 bag of potatoes I could have purchased for $5 at Safeway and a bunch of moldy and rotten produce. When I contacted Miller Farms about this issue I was told that they would not refund or replace and Michelle went to great lengths to tell me this including threatening that she was going to tell their credit card merchant not to refund my money. I was only asking for $25 in refund. I paid $50. When I searched the internet, I found that Miller Farms as a habit is sending rotten, moldy, spoiled produce to their delivery customers and then treating them horribly when they expect the issue to be corrected. Miller Farms should be put out of business, first for sending rotten food to their customers and then for their wretched customer service. It must be nice to feel so superior that they can't treat paying customers like they matter. read more

Very nice place to play for the kids, and a super hayride! But, note that the four bags of produce you fill while on the hayride can't be supplemented with what they've already picked when it turns out that there are zero pumpkins that will fit inside the bags or that aren't ruined and covered with burrs. (We saved half our bags to fill with small pumpkins at the pumpkin field, and literally we found one small one that was still punctured with dozens of burrs.). Load up at the potato, onion, and squash field (all at the same first stop), or get some corn. As I mentioned, there were very few carrots, about one handful of broccoli, and zero pumpkins. You're basically gleaning those fields after they've already been mechanically harvested. Still totally worthwhile for the hayride and kids play area, and very nice people. read more

We have been visiting miller farms off and on for the last 10 plus years. Good : the hay ride is a lot of fun and you get to pick out a lot of fresh vegetables that you get to take home with you. it is actually quite a bit of food and definitely worth the fee to get in. it is also a good way for kids to see WHERE food comes from. it is also good to support our local farmers here in colorado their CSA and also farmers markets are all 5 star :) the corn maze usually is really good, however unfortunately this year 2020 there is NO corn maze. sadly we did not know until we were already there though. the not as good : when we started going many years ago they had a cool blow up pillow that kids could jump on. now its a pile of crocs. it looks like kids still have fun with that or did a couple of years ago last time we did the other things at the farm. not sure if that was there or open this year or not. the pedal karts were sadly usually not always functional, but when they are they sure are a lot of fun. a lot of times the pedals are broken or a tire may not be on. some of the stuff is a little run down now as far as the play stuff goes. its definitely geared more for young kids though. Now, my daughter and I split a share and go to Southlands each week to pick out our vegetables. The selection and the vegetables are wonderful. The staff is always helpful and nice. Our family choose Millers Farm over Anderson Farm, WORST MISTAKE EVER! First this is more of a junk yard than it is a pumpkin patch. $25 per person is NOT WORTH IT. I regret even wasting my money here, and I would Not recommend this pumpkin! The staff, or I guess it's the family that owns it's is incredibly rude, like how are you going to open up to the public and not have any standard of customer service?! Awful. We signed up for the winter CSA. A lot of the vegetables were spoiled, moldy and nasty. I reached out to them numerous times stating that the vegetables were rotten and I paid for farm fresh vegetables. Michelle Ann responded stating if I complained anymore that she would suspend our order and no longer deliver. There's absolutely NO making things right. I suggest choosing a different farm and not Miller Farms. They're awful. We ordered steak from them a couple times too and they were so full of fat and gristle. Waste of money!!!! read more

Wow. Worst place ever!!!! We took our kiddos there. Paid $44 for hay ride and my son came back with bites all over him from the hay. I called to let the farm know. They were dismissive and then hung up on me, saying I was being rude. Um I'm not being rude, I'm irritated that you guys took no responsibility for the problem and kept on saying it must not be your fault. Apparently anyone who sounds frustrated is "rude" and gets hung up on. Cannot believe this place. DO NOT GO here unless you want your kiddos to get bug bites all over from the hay. And apparently the straw itch mites can infest your house if brought home. Worst worst worst customer service ever. You can tell a lot about a business by the way they handle issues/unhappy clients, well, Miller Farms have shown their true colors by that most unpleasant experience I've just had with them. We paid them for a hog and because their processor, Jenson Blue Ribbon get short with me... they decided not to have us as customers! AFTER they took our deposit, AFTER they sent the hog we committed to for processing.... they their cutter Jerry, give me an ultimatum to give him cut directions or forfeit the hog.... while sitting in a waiting room with my wife on an operating table!?! And I see why they make you sign wavers because where kids play it is literally filled with metal spikes sharp equipment pieces ALL over the place! What a great weekend stop! I've bought the $15 farm bag at the park hill farmers market this summer and since the Miller farm saleswoman has always been so friendly, we decided to check out the farm this weekend. What a cute spot! The green chili roasting man was a hoot, such a fun and welcoming space. You can really tell they love being farmers and welcoming visitors. I don't have kids, but I overheard a little girl telling him she had so much fun playing around the farm the past hour. Grabbed a bunch of produce while we were there too. If you are a competitive group, I definitely recommend the $40 fill a wagon challenge. We had a blast playing farm-style jenga!!! read more

Located an hour north of Denver, this farm makes for a fun filled autumn festivity! The farm is full of activities for folks of all ages. We came for the hay ride and harvest. On a weekend in October, this place was bumpin! There is a little store area with fresh preserves and jams and a huge section of fresh picked, ready to go produce.... for only $30/wagon. Everything from beets, corn, potatoes, squash, carrots and yes... pumpkins. We came to get a little bit dirty, so purchased tickets for the hay ride harvest. Tickets per adult are $22 and allow for 5 full bags of whatever you pick. Here are some pointers to make your harvest successful: 1) Dress for the occasion. Wear pants and boots, bring work or garden gloves as well as small garden tools. We brought a small handheld garden shovel and rake and with the amount of potatoes we uncovered, I must say, we did not regret it one bit. 2) Bring your own totes. The farm provides plastic grocery bags for your produce. It tears, it flys away. It doesn't carry heavy weight and doesn't fit the bigger produce items. Plus, we sat on 2 of our totes to keep the hay off of our butts till we really needed them. 3) Bring water, food, and whatever else you need to be a happy farmer for 3 hours. Have seasonal allergies? Take an allergy pill before you take off to the farm. The dust and hay will bring you down if you aren't prepared. For the kiddos, there are a handful of structures for them to run around and climb on. There is a large parking lot, and wagons for use to bring your loads of produce to the car. I have not traveled to the Farm, but I fell in love with the Miller Farms bag sale at this year's Edgewater Farmer's Market. $10 for a bag so full of food (and HEAVY!) we put it on the bathroom scale when we got home.... 33 pounds of produce for $10!!! This was one of the last weeks of the season, and each week our bags seemed to get a little heavier. Customer service was kind, and our weekly mule packing trips were rewarded as we were treated like friends. We enjoyed a variety of produce from the folks at Miller Farms this summer, including beans, okra, acorn squash, zucchini, onions, potatoes, peppers, tomatos, corn more and look forward to doing more business with them in the future. read more

We went on a school field trip today to Miller and we all had a great time! We took the hayride to 4 different stops and harvested tons of beautiful, fresh veggies. The port o potty's were very clean, the play area had lots of fun old school things to climb on and play on. They have a huge collection of antique cars, fire trucks and tractors to climb on and in for the kids. A covered area with tables to eat at. Great time. Is it immaculate and perfect, no, it's a farm! Fall Festival Review: We liked this place! We came home with probably 100 pounds of vegetables after our hay ride, of all different kinds. Kale, turnips, beets, onions, potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, corn, and TONS of pumpkins and decorative gourds! The hay ride takes you out into the fields and you make several stops to pick veggies. I've already cooked up a ton of our produce into baby food and sauerkraut. Not bad for $44! I do wish the play equipment was better maintained. Everything needed a good sanding and coat of paint, and the Croc pit was gross. I wouldn't let littles play in it. The farm itself was beautiful, though! read more

We are new to Colorado and have been hunting for a place to allow our kids to pick pumpkins and maybe grab some fresh produce. The website looked great, so we decided to give it a try. The farm is located in a beautiful part of the state with gorgeous mountain views, but that's about the best part of it. We were really disappointed in this place. There is no clear direction on how to navigate the farm, so we never could figure out where to go to pick from the fields. The staff seemed annoyed when we asked questions- one older gentleman actually rolled his eyes and criticized how little we had put in our wagon. But honestly, all of the veggies they had laid out stunk and just didn't look appealing at all. I'm not driving 2 hours ho me with a car of rotten potatoes. Ewww! The hayride looked like a tractor pulling a dump truck, so we decided to pass on that one. Seeing all the vintage vehicles parked everywhere was moderately interesting, but my kids just weren't into it once they realized how dirty and rusty it all was. Most every pumpkin we found was rotting or smelly. My son had to climb over piles and piles of rotting pumpkins to find anything we would actually want. Same with the potatoes - so gross. And when we got home, we still realized too late that one of the pumpkins we picked up was rotten on the inside. Smh.... We tried to make the best of it, but this is definitely NOT the farm my family will be returning to each year. read more

The squash went bad fast like I have never seen before. We only had it a week and it was super mushy. Now in the compost bin. The green beans where very tough, stringy and tasteless. This place was awesome. Went with the whole family here, never thought I'd have so much fun picking veges in the field. We went home with five big bags each, we have a lot of work at home to do freezing them, but will donate some. The dog jake that lives on the farm is one of the happiest dogs in the world and followed us around the whole time. We had a funny old guy driving the tractor for us and helping us find the best veges. Good time to mention they're grown without pesticides and gmo free! When you first get in there is all kinds of random cool old cars and weird old props to take photos with. In the little store the beef jerkey is really good, we also got he honey and strawberry rhubarb jam. It's a true farm experience, so let that sink in if you're expecting anything else. read more

This review is in regard to Miller Farms CSA, in which you pay a sum at the beginning of the year and visit Miller Farms farmers market location to pick up produce each week. I have been a member of Miller Farm's CSA for three years. It is with a heavy heart that I write this review. I have tried very hard to appreciate what miller farms brings to the community, and I have on number of occasions defended Miller farms when other folks in my community have pointed out similar concerns/disappointments, but I can no longer let my affection for the family and my years of support cloud my judgment. My problem with miller farms boils down to the following: 1. They lie to their customers. I know Miller Farms is a conventional farm, but they imply that their produce is "almost" or "everything but certified" organic. I have no problem purchasing conventionally farmed items, but i was told this when I fist signed up for the CSA and I hear this repeated at the farmers markets to customers who ask if their produce is organic. 2. Selection is limited and unchanging. Another weekend with just squash, wrinkly green peppers, rotting tomatos and dry old chewy corn? come on. 3. More than half their produce doesn't even come from their farm. I suspect it is purchased by the pallet, likely from the same source as any other grocery store. I also suspect it is purchased at a discount because there are frequently a large number of rotten, molding and simply not fresh items in the large boxes they unpack from their truck. I believe they are either purchasing it at a discount because of age and then passing on to their customers or purchasing it and storing it so that by the time it gets to the market it is beginning to rot. 4. After they have their CSA money, they do not appear to care if their CSA customers have any kind of access to a decent selection of items. They have been selling to the public at $10 for a large bag of any item, so unless you arrive first thing when they open it is entirely picked over by the bargain hunters. To prevent this in past years they would keep items behind the table for CSA members, but that always appears to fall to the wayside about half way through the season. Even when they kept some items in back, it was pretty clear they were picking it over and placing the freshest, nicest looking items at the front of their stand for the general public. I have tried to appreciate Miller Farms by telling myself things like "its cheap" "its easy" etc, but it is becoming neither. I look around at the other vendors at the farmers market and it becomes pretty clear that Miller Farms is a pretty unprofessional operation. Sorry guys, after putting hundreds of dollars into your family and your business, i'm done with you. read more
