Delco's best kept secret! Miller Greenhouses is family owned and operated (literally in their backyard) for 52 yrs. They are growers so they grow almost all of their plants so you know they are well cared for vs most other places where the plants are shipped in. This also helps keep the costs down so they are cheapest I've been able to find around! Plus they have two adorable dogs! Such an awesome variety of plants and flowers! Absolutely, positively break out your GPS or your doomed! This place is tucked away in a residential area where you would never think to look. There are some tricky twisted and sometimes dead-end streets around it so let your GPS do the work. If you are into keeping a beautiful garden, especially with annuals, trust me and visit this family run operation. When you arrive you'll barely see the greenhouses as they are hidden behind a residence. Once you get back there you'll find eight or ten large greenhouses bursting with beautiful quality plants. Even better, their prices are quite a bit lower than the giant commercial operations. . Be prepared for a friendly greeting by the family's Labrador retriever. As this is a family run operation, their hours change a bit based on the growing season. Make it a point to give them a call before you drive over. This is one of those places where the truly savvy gardeners go to get a great deal and great quality. If you are in the area and your thumb is green you should give these folks a try. read more

First timer at Miller's and it did not disappoint! It's an unusual location because it's in the midst of a residential neighborhood. It's surprising once you arrive because you don't really know what to expect as you approach the greenhouses. The people are extremely friendly and helpful. There are tons of things to choose from. It was Mother's Day weekend so there were a lot of people out and about looking at the flowers. A lot of people warned that it's extremely busy, especially on a weekend and to go during the week instead. I went on Saturday during Mother's Day weekend and while it was busy, it wasn't difficult to park, shop or maneuver around the beautiful greenhouses. They are only open from 10-4 so plan for that! They offer excellent customer service (including their friendly dogs that greet you). There was a woman (Angela) helping me the entire time. She offered her opinion and suggestions to help my vision become a reality. During checkout she came back to make sure I was pleased with everything and another gentleman came up to make sure everything went ok. When I said I wanted to get two other plants and was just setting my items down, he went and got the other two plants for me and checked them over for quality. Covid protocol was good: masks were required and everyone (patrons and staff) were adhering to the mask requirement. It is tight so you will be close to people at some points if you go during a busy time. If you are worried about a crowd, I would recommend the weekdays if that's an option for you. These are the best plants in our local area by far. Even if you aren't in need of flowers, the experience is worth it to take a visit to Miller's. Skip Lowe's and Home Depot and take a trip to Miller's to support this small business for all of your plant and flower needs! read more

My favorite place to go every year for Mother's Day! Beautiful home grown flowers of every type! Such a great variety as well as already potted ready to go mixed pots. Miller's Greenhouse of Wallingford is tucked away in a residential neighborhood. Parking is limited and there isn't much room to maneuver in the greenhouses. Probably it is best to avoid visiting on a weekend. Good selection. Their prices seem to be good. Bring cash. No credit cards accepted. Sorry to say I was disappointed with this place. Someone had recommended them for their selection and prices. I made the 45 minute trek. The flowers they had were nice but I found their selection limited. Most of the stuff was petunias. Their hanging baskets were disappointing also. Nevertheless, I found some flowers and went to pay by credit card and they do not accept credit cards. This is not indicated on their website either. I also did not find their prices to be that good. A much better alternative if you are willing to drive to Jersey is Platt's in Clarksboro. Absolutely fantastic place with every conceivable flower you can think of and goegeous hanging baskets and planters. read more

This place is definitely worth checking out. It is a family run nursery that is tucked away in the middle of a neighborhood sort of in between Wallingford and Brookhaven. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. When I went for the first time last summer I was amazed that there were about 10 huge greenhouses in the yard to shop. I thought it was so cool to see 2 greenhouses full of poinsettias in May that they are growing from seedlings to sell when full grown around Christmas. All the other greenhouses are full of everything from flowers to veggie plants. Do not be afraid of the 2 calm and friendly lab dogs that roam freely around. They are very friendly and pretty much just like to walk past people and sort of rub up against your legs. Use a gps to get to this spot or make sure you get good directions because it's in the middle of a quiet neighborhood and sort of tucked away. I think the owners should advertise more. So many people I told about this place had no idea it was there. They are open every day, I think. Just check on the hours before you go. Even the posted hours sign reads the word generally before the listing. Cool spot!! Check it out and support this family run business.
