I find stair rails with paint all over them, he didn't clean up the mess he made in the house, and his other guy never came. I asked him about where the other guy was; he told me that the guy called him at 7 am telling him he wasn't going to make it... Well, that's funny because Earl came at 8:45 am and said to me that he was on his way? Lied to my face. This man is unprofessional snake oil painter that doesn't deserve to be in business. Workmanship was awful: Carpentry: Misaligned deck, ramp rebuilt 5 times and still wrong. Painting: No primer, paint peeling, splatter on windows, floors, even personal items. Plumbing: Cardboard left in drains (overflow in less than 1 month), pipes left active in attic (burst, collapsed through 3 floors). HVAC: Unauthorized work patched with duct tape, vents left uncovered. Windows: Wrong orders and sizes, one half the promised size. Safety: Ladder left on porch for a year; subs entered house unannounced. Timeline was equally disastrous: promised completion Apr 2024, revised to Oct 2024, finally finished Sept 2025. Multiple inspections failed. Project manager was a poor communicator, and the CEO stopped responding once problems escalated. Masonry and flooring were the only trades done competently. Everything else was systemic incompetence and mismanagement. Their 5-star rating does not reflect reality. Avoid at all costs.

Come to realize I am the one who just hadn't seen much about them. They have been around for over five years and are a family-owned business. It was exactly what I was looking for because I wanted to avoid using any big chain store for my new sink since they just hire random contractors for the install. The owners came out for the initial estimate which involved new sink and cutting up the granite counter to make space for the new bigger sink. We were happy with the sink they offered along with the price for all the work to be done. We quickly set up the appointment. Day of install, they showed up exactly on time. They created a plastic booth enclosure to seal the sink area to minimize any dirt and dust when they cut the granite. Everything was completed within a few hours, and they know what they are doing with the plastic booth because there was very small amount of dust that we were able to quickly clean up. It has been over two months since install and everything is working great. There have been no leaks, and everything still looks new and great. I am very happy with SinkUp and wish them the best of luck.

This builder markets themselves as highly principled, honest, and driven by their beliefs in values…read morelike the golden rule. At least in our experience this is simply a marketing tool for them. They do not do what they say, follow through on their assurances, or take any actions other than what you would expect from an unprincipled carnival huckster. In our case they talked at length about their how important their principles and reputation were, and then gave us a proposal to design our project with assurances of feasibility and cost range based on their review of and their extensive experience. We fell for it. Relying on this, we paid thousands of dollars in fees, and although we had no changes in the requirements or scope of work, they told us they had overlooked things and underestimated the costs by roughly 25%. They told us how sorry they were, but did not offer any solution other than for us to pay more. Nor did they refund the $17,000 in fees they collected for the design. In fact they did not even provide us the final design for us to take to another builder. They left us disappointed in our choice of builder and disillusioned to find a firm that would so disingenuously use their assurances about principles and beliefs to fleece clients.
