I know quite a few people who trust these dermatologists, their methods, their diagnoses, and their treatments. And we all have different skin types, too. It can take a little while to get an appointment here if you're a brand new patient, but nothing crazy long. I've called doctors (in other fields for other reasons) as a new patient, and have been told things like "we can see you in 6 months." For real!? I could be dead by then! I understand 4 weeks or so, but half a year? Anyway, Mid Cities Dermatology can most likely get you in for an appointment in a decent amount of time. They're extremely friendly and patient as well. As a current patient of this clinic, I visit Dr. Miller about 1-2 times a year. I'm lucky enough to have mostly clear skin, but I'm super fair-skinned and have to get checked regularly to make sure all moles are skin cancer and pre-skin cancer free. I've had more than one procedure to keep my skin as healthy as possible, and this staff (receptionists, nurses, Dr. Miller) has always made me feel extremely comfortable, confident, and reassured. Make sure to always take care of your self... this includes your skin! And wear sunscreen! I definitely recommend Mid Cities Dermatology Clinic for all of your skin-health-care needs.

If you're a brand new patient, it'll probably take 4-6 weeks to get an initial appointment. However, they're totally open to you calling in randomly to check for potential openings. They will fit you in earlier if they can, but it's on you to call in and check for cancellations. I think that's fair enough. Of course appointments are easier/quicker to book once you've had your first new patient appointment. Dr. Miller doesn't keep you waiting long, he's thorough, quick, no-nonsense, and to the point. I often feel like my time is being wasted at doctor's offices, but I rarely feel that way here. Doesn't take a huge chunk out of my day. Friendly staff, quiet building that's super easy to navigate over in HEB hospital complex with plenty of close parking. For all your basic dermatology needs, 10/10 for Dr. Miller!

Dr. Walker is good but the process to get in is more than painful and has caused me to look…read moreelsewhere. Communication is lacking and the wait times are less than ideal. My last three visits resulted in me canceling my appointment. I stopped by today, waited 45 minutes in the lobby (beyond my scheduled time) and still hadn't been seen. The time prior was a scheduled surgical procedure, I waited 1 hr. in the lobby, another 45 minutes in the patient room before leaving frustrated, to only be asked to "find a more convenient time when they are not as busy". The trip prior was another 45 minute wait in the lobby. I waited in the patient room for another 20, the discussion lasted less than 10 minutes and I was asked to schedule the surgical appointment. I don't mind the occasional wait, but this is ridiculous. No follow up calls to apologize, no concerns on keeping customers. It's just bad customer service in what could be a great practice.

I would caution anyone who is considering visiting this group to strongly reconsider.
