BEWARE: If you MOVE, they will still bill you for HALF the mowing season unless you cancel in writing. I had been a loyal customer of Miller Lawn Maintenance since 2011. When I sold my house on December 9, 2024, I called their main number and left a voicemail letting them know I had moved out of state and needed to cancel services. I assumed if there was an issue, someone would reach out. Instead, they just deleted the message and continued to bill me--with zero contact--until April 14, 2025, when they charged my card $42.26. Only then did I finally get a response, where I was told (with attitude, might I add) that voicemails don't count and I should have emailed them instead. Apparently, they expect you to remember that you signed something over 11 years ago saying cancellations must be in writing. No call back. No courtesy check-in. Nothing. Just silence--until it was time to charge my card. Their lack of communication and refusal to acknowledge a move out of state shows that they care more about collecting money than actually supporting their customers. If you're thinking about using this company, make sure you read the fine print--and whatever you do, don't move without emailing them first. We hired Miller Lawn Maintenance for leaf removal, expecting the hard work, integrity, and quality service they claim as core values. Unfortunately, our experience was the opposite. Communication was poor, and there was no effort to accommodate our needs. Despite paying for three workers, only two were actively working. The job was left incomplete--half our lawn is still covered in leaves. When we asked them not to return to avoid another minimum charge, it was because they had already come out twice under conditions that made success impossible: first during high winds, then after snow melted when leaves were soggy and clogging their equipment. For a company that specializes in lawn maintenance, why send crews out in conditions where the work can't be done properly? Instead of delivering on their promise to "remove all the leaves from your property" and "respect our customers' properties as if they were our own," they seemed more focused on finding reasons to return and charge extra rather than finishing the project as agreed. There was no warmth, kindness, or understanding throughout the process, which is especially disappointing because we chose them to support a local, veteran-owned business. I would not recommend Miller Lawn Maintenance and will not use them again. When I tried to bring the situation back around (while receiving another automated and conflicting email) I was told I was not a good fit for them because I said it's just "yard work". Never was I insinuating that these people were not skilled at what they do, I was taking the stance that maybe I was overreacting to their constant barrage of "we haven't heard from you" emails and she took it as that I was insulting her (I'm sure) very skilled employees. All the while totally discounting that I had taken the time out of my day to let them know I would be using them but we had a family crisis. Not the type of people I do business with. I showed compassion that I may have been overly frustrated because of my family's crisis but she got incredibly hurt that I called it lawn work. This company has been mowing a neighbors lawn at 14th St in Noblesville for awhile with no problem, but today they parked their truck right in front of my driveway! This is extremely rude, disrespectful, and lacks all common sense. I'm in and out of my driveway constantly so I should not have to deal with this. I asked them not to do do it again and they tried to say it was only 7 minute, although it wasn't, which does not matter, they just shouldn't be doing that, then they said they would do it again next week and the week after!!!! Unhappy that you blocked a street that I drive on a regular basic. When I asked your driver to move to clear a legal space, he just laughed and said I just returned from Lunch....I can't move. They did a landscaping project last spring, which were happy with for a short time. Then we noticed that the arbor vitae were dying rapidly, not just a little shock from planting. We called Brad to come take a look. We're still trying to get him here. He has said that he would replace the trees, but never showed up on the days promised.
