There were numerous impressions and fittings almost every other week until I received my final dentures in November. From the time I received them, I have had nothing but trouble. My dentures have never fit right. My gums are always so sore that I can hardly bring pressure on the dentures to bite any food, even bread. Chewing is extremely difficult. I have to use Orajel two to three times a day to keep my gums from aching. I never had this kind of difficulty with my old dentures. Dr. Greenway simply said to give myself a chance to get used to them. While I had visits almost every week from November to December, I finally gave up on having these new dentures fit correctly. I decided not to go back to see Dr. Greenway to see if these dentures could possibly be fixed in order to eat properly. He seemed to be more concerned with my not having wrinkles around my mouth than a good and proper fit. I just didn't have faith that he could do so in the future. I will do far more research to find a dentist who can provide better fitting dentures rather than go back to Dr. Greenway. This has been an expensive, $3000, lesson for me.

But the last trip there I had a dental emergency that was hurting when a filling fell out. But being scheduled for a dental cleaning, they ended up going through with the dental cleaning and aggravating a tooth that lost a filling. The dental hygienist is the roughest I have had in 50 years going to a dentist. She was grumbling under her breath about equipment not working, and talking about me needing a crown, which is the role of the dentist and not the hygienist. She then asked me (!!!) whether I needed an x-ray. When Dr. Greenway briefly came in in a rush, They recommended sending me to an endodontist. I am not sure I need more than a cavity refilled. I had an aggravated nerve, but it might have been from the activity of the dental hygenist. Dr. Greenway was in too much of a rush to spend time thinking through the situation it seemed. Dr. Greenway was so busy with his factory-like approach to get people in and out, that he did not answer my questions. His surly office manager was rude and unprofessional. She was telling me what painkillers to use, which is not her role. But before I could talk to Dr. Greenway, he disappeared because he had lots of other patients to see. He did not prioritize my issue. I ended up hurting more after I left than i did when I came in. They somehow thought they were heroes for getting me an appointment to see an endodontist nearby the next day. I am not sure what financial arrangements are between the practices, but this hardly seems like heroic work. I am getting a second opinion (now that my tooth is not feeling so abused) about whether I really need a root canal and a crown, or whether I need a more talented dentist who can save the tooth for a lot less money. So, if you are looking for a dentist who treats you like you are little more than a payment for his boat or car, he is your guy. He isn't inexpensive, and for the money he makes, I want to be treated with patience and kindness. Dr. Greenway is getting older, so maybe it is time for him to hang up his dental pick and drill and retire. Given my personal experience and the crabby ladies who work for him and treat patients rudely, I would not go near this practice.

So my two kids, wife, and I had his service from fall 2016 to early spring 2017 after in gave them my insurance info. Dr goodwin and Brenda is very nice: HOWEVER... We kept getting these bills that finally racked up to $1500 following my visit in early spring. When the bill reached to the $1500 I contacted my ins rep if anything can be done for them to cover it as in-network. They said no and if I would've found an in network dentist that 99% of service is covered 100% from fillings to exams to crowns and etc. When Brenda asked if we're gonna pay the bill following my visit, I asked her how this is racking up. She said they do not cover pompco and that their service is out of network :( My wife was the one bringing our two kids for service and when I asked Brenda if she told my wife about being out of network, she nodded her head with a yes. Now again, she's a very nice lady and the service was good but if my wife heard someone tell her my insurance is not covered she would've remembered something of this nature and told me to find another dentist, as we were struggling and in the processing of buying a home. So I think anyone hearing something like this would've stopped this service especially if it's out of network So my recommendation is if you pick Dr Goodwin make sure you ask if they are in network and service is covered. I'm going to his practice for many years, and never even had an OK experience, it's been always amazing. He's like an artist and his work is always so precise and perfect. I trust him all the time because it's proven to me that he always gives me the best possible solution. I refer him to everyone who needs a dentist. All the friends that I've referred, always get back to me and talk about his awesomeness. The first time I went to him for a 2nd opinion, because I had a $7500 treatment plan from another office. they told me that I have to react fast because I'm developing gum disease and losing some tooth and I need several crowns. He checked my teeth and told me everything's fine and I may need a crown or two in the future, but they are not urgent at all. look at me now, everything fine, no gum disease, and all teeth in place working great.
