My son had a bluey themed room with a tv above his head so it was more fun and inviting for him! The dentist and hygienist were so kind, accommodating, and so good with my son!! Even the hygienist was very kind and patient with our 5 year old child. Our child did not have any cavities or dental concerns so we scheduled a return visit for the following year. Our second visit was today and we had a horrible experience. We met with a different hygienist than before and she was rude, inpatient and made our child feel extremely uncomfortable with her remarks. Our child was nervous and started crying when the hygienist came in. Instead of being calm and patient, the hygienist told our child if she did not stop crying " Mommy would have to wait in the waiting room." Then she proceeded to call another hygienist in and told me to hold my child down so they could brush her teeth. I said, ABSOLUTELY NOT! If my child is nervous, why would I restrain her? That sounds very aggressive and abusive to me. I told the hygienist that we can cancel the appointment or try again another time. She walked us to the checkout area. As we were checking out I asked to schedule an appointment with Dr. Young ( the first doctor we saw). The secretary was nice and said she would do it, but before she could put the appointment in Dr. Michael B. Quigley came out and refused to let us reschedule our appointment. His exact words were " If your child cannot handle seeing different providers maybe you should go somewhere else to a smaller, more private practice." I said " Are you refusing us services? " He said " We are not going to reschedule you." He also proceeded to tell me he owns the practice. His racist undertone was disturbing to say the least. I would never go back there again. Dr. Michael B. Quigley and the hygienist we saw today owe our family an apology. The way they treated my child and I was unacceptable.

So my two kids, wife, and I had his service from fall 2016 to early spring 2017 after in gave them my insurance info. Dr goodwin and Brenda is very nice: HOWEVER... We kept getting these bills that finally racked up to $1500 following my visit in early spring. When the bill reached to the $1500 I contacted my ins rep if anything can be done for them to cover it as in-network. They said no and if I would've found an in network dentist that 99% of service is covered 100% from fillings to exams to crowns and etc. When Brenda asked if we're gonna pay the bill following my visit, I asked her how this is racking up. She said they do not cover pompco and that their service is out of network :( My wife was the one bringing our two kids for service and when I asked Brenda if she told my wife about being out of network, she nodded her head with a yes. Now again, she's a very nice lady and the service was good but if my wife heard someone tell her my insurance is not covered she would've remembered something of this nature and told me to find another dentist, as we were struggling and in the processing of buying a home. So I think anyone hearing something like this would've stopped this service especially if it's out of network So my recommendation is if you pick Dr Goodwin make sure you ask if they are in network and service is covered. I'm the lucky one with a WONDERFUL bill of $1500 since Brenda CLAIMED SHE TOLD MY WIFE THAT THEY DO NOT ACCEPT POMCO

I have had a TIME finding a dentist that wasn't more afraid of a dental phobic patient than I was…read moreof them (review on Yelp), that didn't give me to her son because he wanted to help people - only to have him send me to a sedation dentist. To go to a sedation dentist that has done 5 root canals on browns he's placed in 4 years - one of which I had replaced yesterday at Manlius dental, because 1/3 of it broke off. I have 2 more that are chipped. But let's go on! I saw a dentist that said I needed 17 root canals. I had a dentist who sent me to another dentist because he couldn't tell if I needed a root canal. ANNNNND... lastly I saw a dentist who said I needed a special dentist to work with people like myself that are... deformed by cancer. Nope- forgot Fallon brothers who told me in September I could not go there because I have Medicaid, and it's a Covid rule. Which is odd. Because I saw them the day before lockdown to pull a tooth. So that's 5 years of trying to find a dentist after surviving and reversing a terminal cancer (lung/trachea/bronchus metastatic to small bowel. Entered hospice at 60 pounds August 2019. Cancer-free since November 2019 (self-paid for the treatment I wanted) and off treatment 6+ years. Two points: treatment - much of which was in my trachea, a coma and a month long mechanical ventilation coupled with severe malnutrition destroyed my teeth. And people were jerks about it. Second point: 20 year anxiety buddy of a dentist died. 10 days after I started treatment after hospice. He was 50, and I was in the same hospital, and I was traumatized. I'd known him since I was 3. So this is why I say it matters that I think Manlius Dental is an excellent facility. They aren't phoning in the work. They aren't doing stuff that needs to be done. They aren't trying to hold a face that pretends it's listening when you talk. There's no ego, no as*holes and a genuine understanding about dental phobia. I've worked with 2 of the dentists, because they don't like to make you wait in pain just so whoever gets paid. You have the choice almost always to come in same or next day. And so I drive from Cicero, and it's worth it. I'm not made to feel like a child, a whiner, or an imposition. I appreciate that. But on top of that, procedures and sedations are each 100's of dollars less than at my former dentist(s). So why are they better, but cheaper? I think, and you can quote me in this - it because they give a damn about their patients. This, is home. And taking the stress out of dental distress has been awesome.

Recently my wife had an accident, which among other issues, impacted her four front teeth. Dr. Greenway has completed her treatment after over 2 months of multiple appointments. There were numerous impressions and fittings almost every other week until I received my final dentures in November. From the time I received them, I have had nothing but trouble. My dentures have never fit right. My gums are always so sore that I can hardly bring pressure on the dentures to bite any food, even bread. Chewing is extremely difficult. I have to use Orajel two to three times a day to keep my gums from aching. I never had this kind of difficulty with my old dentures. Dr. Greenway simply said to give myself a chance to get used to them. While I had visits almost every week from November to December, I finally gave up on having these new dentures fit correctly. I decided not to go back to see Dr. Greenway to see if these dentures could possibly be fixed in order to eat properly. He seemed to be more concerned with my not having wrinkles around my mouth than a good and proper fit. I just didn't have faith that he could do so in the future. I will do far more research to find a dentist who can provide better fitting dentures rather than go back to Dr. Greenway. This has been an expensive, $3000, lesson for me.
