In this trip we met one of the seasonal workers. She collected our entry fee of $5 each and asked us if we have visited in the past. Very nice young person. They are looking for volunteers and it would be s nice place for someone to de-stress and get their hands a little dirty. Also, gardening does burn calories. Every season you will see new plants and flowers coming up. It's not your perfectly polished garden, but it's your rough work in progress labor of love. You will always see the groundskeepers, seasonal workers and volunteers working hard there.

The park is well-maintained and the variety of plants and flowers is truly stunning. I enjoyed walking through the different gardens, each with its own unique character and charm. They just opened on April 1st for the season so not everything was in bloom (obviously) but my minds eye could imagine if. What impressed me the most was the attention to detail and the dedication of the staff to ensure that everything was in pristine condition. I could tell that they take great pride in their work and it definitely shows. Overall, I highly recommend visiting the Strongsville Gardenview Horticultural Park. It's a peaceful oasis in the middle of the city and a true gem for nature lovers. Five stars all around!

Fall fun weekends We…read moredecided to check out a fun weekend with our kids. It cost $12 to be able to enter. They have barrel rides, pedal cars, corn maze, straw maze, corn bin, sand pit, playground, etc. You can pay extra to pick flowers, pick apples, or use the apple cannon. I wish the price was more inclusive. Like a family bundle that includes tickets, bag to apple pick, bucket of apples for the cannon, etc. then you just lay one price upfront. The apple cannon was a lot of fun and the kids had a great time. The event says it is open until 6. At 5 we decided to head up to the food truck and to get donuts and everything was closed up. They had a small stand inside with hot dogs and kettle corn. The place was really beautiful with the flowers and corn field plus cute picnic areas.

Note to all: you can't just pick apples, you need to pay to enter 14.95$…read more We don't have kids, didn't want to do the corn maze, etc, just wanted to pick apples. We got some at the front little market. Never been to a place where we have to enter to pay to pick apples. There should be an area to just pick apples and go.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and seemed very invested in the history of the castle. Oh! My! The castle is rich in history. My guess is you could take three different tours and learn something new from each one. We were only allowed to take photos of the first floor. The other floors had Air BnB rooms. Everything from the paranormal phenomena to the tunnels from the carriage house to Lake Erie were fascinating.

The Victorian mansion is ornate and makes you feel the weight of its history. The ornate stonework, hidden passageways, and eerie ambiance all add to its mysterious charm. It's definitely picture-worthy whether you're walking by or walking in. The event organizers were friendly. I was at the castle for pop art show held by Zack Webb. It was so fun to see the juxtaposition of history/antique and bright pop art. There was no guided tour, just a hang out in the main area of the house, and basement lounge (both very cool). If you're into history, architecture, or the paranormal, Franklin Castle is a must-see. Although I didn't see or feel any ghosts. It's equal parts creepy and captivating. Whether you're a Clevelander or a visitor, go see it!

This is a must-go, the most delicious, genuine, and crazy quality/price ratio you will find in the area - I'd just wish this festival would be extended from like... January 1st to December 31st? This is a work of love from the local Church community and the Greek American community, depending on volunteers. The lines are long, but worth it, but it gives you a one in the year (four, I guess, to be exact) chance to really enjoy a lot of great food, music, and crafts. Their saganaki is opa!-certified, the lamb shank is to die for - recommend to pair with the orzo or lemon roasted potatoes - and their desserts are out of this world - someone needs to drag me away from the galatkoboureko tray or I think I could eat it all. The building itself is stunning, with great architecture and tons of natural light that makes walking through the galleries feel really open and peaceful. They have works from Monet and other well known artists, which was really exciting to see in person. There's a lot to explore, so I'd recommend setting aside a few hours to really take it all in. Just make sure to plan your timing because they close at 5 PM. The staff throughout the museum were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. There's also a large gift shop with lots of unique items and a cafe inside the museum, which is nice if you want to take a break during your visit.

Although the meat is a little tougher (not fall off the bone) the seasoning and taste were spot on perfection. A little peppery heat but not HOT at all. That's what I look for in BBQ. I don't buy into macho-hotter than hell to prove who a man is. That's childish, I just want a little sweet heat to let my mouth know that it's alive. Cover charge was reasonable, there was also pierogi, chicken paprikash, roasted corn, fried foods and sweets vendors as well.

I went a few days before Christmas and it was not very crowded at all (however, it was quite chilly, which may have kept some folks from coming out). The prices started out at 35 for the all-inclusive ticket (includes slide and mini golf) and 20 for a regular entry ticket, plus 5 bucks for parking. But the management seems to be open to feedback, as they reduced those prices to 25 for all-inclusive, 15 for regular admission, and free parking. There are some kinks to work out, indeed, but I think they can do it for next season! For instance, the signage is not great. There are just one or two small signs that point you to the slide with no further instructions. No one tells you that if you purchased the all-inclusive ticket that you have to seek out a waiver to sign and then go get your own tube on the field-level to bring with you to the top of the slide. So I walked up there and they sent me back down with my tail between my legs. The workers agreed that it wasn't well marked, so I likely was not the first one to do this. I also saw a family headed up behind me without their tubes, so they turned around to find them as well after I advised them of my experience. Also, found it mildly confusing where to exit the Christmas Around the World tent, and some of the passport stamps were hard to find. I was still not clear about what the prize was for completing all the stamps. But it was still really fun to wander through each country. The backdrops were artsy and beautifully illustrated. I think that some of the country displays needed a little more substance though. Parts of that tent felt forlorn and empty. Maybe more fun samples in each country's section, kind of like the gluhwein sample in Germany, or some other clever little give-aways, international cookie samples, or even some merch for sale. The food trucks were fine, but I don't know if I would necessarily describe it as an international array of food offerings per-se. Not a bad selection, just not exactly unique- they are all found pretty universally, at least in this part of Ohio year-round. Only one set of restrooms were open in the ballpark and unless you stumbled upon the ones that were NOT open, you would not know this. Something that some minor signage or even a map could really help with. They did publish a map on social media, but it didn't have specifics. There was merch available, but you cannot buy a gluhwein mug unless you purchase it with a drink. For $12 I found this to be a little steep, as you can get the mug and the gluhwein in European Christmas markets for 4 Euro or less! The merch vendor here did sell some cute sweatshirts and the make-your-own cotton candy machine was really cool in the candy tent. The bars were plentiful throughout the event, and their omnipresence suggests that their goal is to make a large profit off alcohol sales. In fact, the only obvious signage pointed guests to the bar areas. However, there were lots of children there, so I am not sure if beverages sales were as lucrative as they expected. Other signs were not as direct or not present at all. In fact, I don't think I saw any signs for mini golf whatsoever. The glockenspiel was beautiful and there were some dancers over in that area, which was a cool concept. Maybe some more things like this would enhance the event too. Or maybe move the passport area inside the ballpark to make it seem less spread out and simpler to enjoy? There is so much potential here! I had fun and enjoyed myself. With a few alterations, this could be an outstanding Christmas attraction in northeast Ohio. Right now it's not on par with Castle Noel, The Christmas Story House, The Ohio Christmas Factory, or even Stan Hywett (which is probably in another category, but still a holiday attraction).....however, with a little TLC and feedback after this initial year, I'll bet they can make it into something really wonderful.

We have been going to this festival for years and years…read more Love the gyros. Last year the we realized they forgot the tzatziki when we got home. This year we checked before we drove off and we got it. Unfortunately the pita were so stale and hard. Hopefully this was just a fluke.
