I fully take responsibility for that. However, when I returned, both the man and woman working there were insensitive, dismissive, and unprofessional. I was told several calls had been made and that the cards had been thrown away because they are "not a storage facility." My number has not changed, and I never received any calls. My email was also available, yet no attempt was made to contact me that way. I understand mistakes happen, but customer service goes both ways. A credit toward a new order or simply handling the situation with professionalism and compassion would have gone a long way. You don't have to like every customer, but respect and professionalism should never be overlooked. How a business treats people during difficult times says a lot about its values.

Walking through the parking lot it started to rain again, one of those slow and musty New York rains that has a certain meanness to it that ya just can't define. And it gave the parking lot an oily greasy look to the blacktop pavement and the street beyond had an unhealthy glow. This young man, three years my junior, brought me eggplant parmesan every week because I told him how much I loved his. He did use three chesses Locatelli Romano, Parmesan and Granna Padanna, delivered hot to my door. He wrote my mother one of the most sincere Get Well letters years ago after she had sustained an injury. To kneel up upon him was about as sad as I've been in a good while, my female friend was flowing like Niagra, not a dry eye in the house, but enough of this. If cremation wasn't my choice, you can be rest assured that I'd be a handsome and proud corpse in any coffin within the walls of this beautiful funeral home, it didn't smack of sadness, the paintings, the six foot oval in wall fish tank, flowing staircases, ornate carpeting. Then to enjoy watching from above ground (maybe below, not completely sure about that just yet) my pictures being fingered and smiled at by my loved ones -- laughing and crying with my favorite music playing throughout. Lots of the Greatful Dead was strumming away with words that glow on this sad evening. My family owns a bunch of plots atop a beautiful hill with a variety of trees and they aren't thrilled of "that crazy cremation idea of yours" anyone wanna buy a grave? I'll hook you up -- but then your stuck with my family for eternity and I can assure you, that probably ain't no picnic. I am beginning to rethink this decision and it's in part due to Branch's modern touch. One wide and long room dwarfed any of the Brooklyn and Queens showing rooms, appropriate social distancing, cards to write find memories of the deceased. I filled up two which revolved around sneaking him into some clubs years ago, I was 22 he was underage and I had the best (fake) extra ID. It was the right of passage to be indoctrinated into acceptance with the older crowd and some light good 'ole boy hazing, only two are chosen and I was one when I was the young whipper snapper -- shocking, right?

Two weeks ago, I ordered a custom "University Mom" T-shirt from this local tee shirt shop for my…read moreson's graduation weekend. I specifically asked them to replicate a shirt I already had in a larger size using the same school colors. I gave them the original tee shirt. Unfortunately, when I put it in the next day, the colors were wrong -- violet instead of royal blue. I immediately called the shop and was told I would receive a refund. Since this was graduation weekend and we were taking family pictures that day, I wore the shirt because I had no other option at that point. When I went to the shop for the refund, they asked me for the shirt back but I did not have it with me. It never dawned on me to return a custom made tee shirt. Nor did they ask me to bring it with me when I called to let them know of the error. Instead of simply asking me to bring it back, the owner and employees were incredibly rude, condescending, and argumentative. At one point one employee said "you wouldn't go to Kohls for a refund without the item." Wow! I was spoken to like I was trying to scam them over a shirt THEY made incorrectly. The comments, rude looks, and overall attitude were completely unnecessary and honestly shocking. If someone had kindly said, "No problem, just bring the shirt back and we'll refund you," this review would not exist. Instead, I was embarrassed and treated terribly over what was clearly a misunderstanding. They also tried blaming me for a "short turnaround," even though I had gone into the shop weeks earlier to ask if they could handle the order and they assured me they could. My husband returned the shirt an hour later. Mistakes happen. Wrong colors happen. But there is absolutely no excuse for treating customers the way I was treated. I always try to support local businesses, but after this experience, I will never return.
