So- I got arthritis in my knees over the years but still love my heels. This shoe shop knows how to cut down your high heels a little bit to make them easier to walk in. They know exactly how far they can go without impacting the structure of the shoe. I took about 12 pairs there and I am so thrilled that I can now wear them more comfortably than before!!!! Our new puppy loved my favorite pair of shoes so much he started chewing on them. Thankfully I caught him before he got past the strap. This shop is amazing! Not only was he able to remove and replace the worn heel from my Bostonian loafers but he was able to do so in only 2 days at a very reasonable price! Before leaving I took a look Atkins the shop and noticed he has new boots for sale with what seems his own logo (I'm assuming he makes the boots there in store)! Fantastic service! I brought in a pair of my favorite boots that my dog had chewed on beyond repair. Mr. Miller was able to restore them to 90% original condition, and even polished/buffed them before I picked them up. Albeit, it took 3 weeks, but craftsmanship isn't an instant process. great shop. I took a pair of boots with a broken zipper in while visiting from Austin. Darian, the lovely girl at the counter, was cordial and knowledgable and informed me it would need to be replaced, but assured me it was easy enough to do if one had the acumen. I got to talking with her and on a whim asked if it would be possible to add a pouch for a knife. this too was very doable, and she told me she'd do it herself. I left my boot in her capable hands and only a week later they were ready, brand new zipper and badass knife pouch and all! The price was waaaay lower than anything I could have found in Austin to boot! (pun intended.) I couldn't be happier with their customer service and knowledge of their trade. My experience with this shoe shop was very positive. The business has been in the family of the current owner for at least three generations. I decided to bring my wife's pair of expensive boots to this shop to have the heel caps replaced because one heel cap was missing. I decided to go to this shop because of the other positive yelp reviews. The owner had the heel cap replacement done while I waited for a reasonable price. The owner informed me that I should bring the boots back if I had any prooblems with the replacement heel caps. He volunteered that personal warranty without even being asked. The owner was polite and attentive. I can definitely recommend this shoe shop to anyone needing their shoes repaired or shined. read more
