I've gotten surgery, fillers, and non-invasive procedures (facials, microneedling) and have never had anything but a wonderful experience. I've referred people here and they always have wonderful things to say. As a background, I have been to other plastic surgeons and medspa businesses both in and outside the area and have never felt as comfortable as I do here. Dr.Z is patient, friendly, and honest. He will tell you what is realistic for your goals. The staff is great, too, and they even know my voice when I call on the phone. The one not so good experience I had was with a microneedling procedure with PRP (I'm not good with blood draws, so it was more my own fault), but they wanted me to have a positive experience and treated me to a complimentary facial the next time I came in. As for all the negativity, I really don't get it, other than there always will be those few disgruntled people. Not every surgeon is for everyone, and that's ok. However, i can't speak for other areas, but I have never been to one plastic surgeon who does not charge a fee for an initial COSMETIC consult (maybe the talented physicians in Beverly Hills are just so prevalent, or they're so rich they can spend time on free consults day in and day out). This fee can be applied to a procedure, and I've always thought that was standard practice. Dr. Z also works with residents, so it's usually him, a nurse, and a resident in the room. The future surgeons and doctors have to learn, too. I found him on RealSelf, where there are lots of reviews. I would also encourage you to look him up on Instagram or Facebook. Again, every surgeon is not for everyone but i personally would not trust anyone else working on my face after the service I've had here.

A 10:30 appointment, we were called back at 11:25, then another wait to see the doc, .30 minutes. We left a 10:30 appointment at 12:45. This is very frustrating for someone who has to get to work and made time, and was on time for an appointment. Second, the forms were abundant and redundant. Then the intake person asked the same questions on the forms. Then the Dr. and the PA asked the same questions asked by the intake person and the original forms. Last, the Dr. was attentive, kind, caring and apologetic for the wait. My mom really liked him, and so did I. His bedside manner is top notch! He was able to help short term, while we wait until another appointment for hopefully a longer term solution. Hopefully his solutions will allow my mom to live a pain free life. TBD.

I called the office about a chalazion in my eye and asked when I could come in they told me they can squeeze me in 30 minutes from them. I came early was called back in 2 minutes and then the doctor was in quickly after. I saw Dr. Clune and he is super nice and kind and put me at ease about my eye problem. At one point, this office incorrectly submitted my son's appointment to the insurance company as female, which caused the claim to be rejected. Despite the fact that the same insurance had successfully paid previous visits, we were suddenly charged over $600 to our debit card. It took an unreasonable amount of time and effort on my part to resolve a mistake that was entirely theirs. Most recently, I called simply to request a medication refill for my son and asked for an explanation as to why refills were no longer being authorized. Instead of a professional explanation, the dermatologist got on the phone and spoke at length about how hurt and upset he felt by my questions, said he felt uncomfortable, and then terminated the doctor-patient relationship on the spot. When I mentioned that there are many similar one-star reviews describing comparable experiences, he stated that he felt "threatened" and hung up on me. I have never experienced a physician responding to reasonable questions with personal emotional grievances or abruptly cutting off care without explanation. This behavior is deeply unprofessional and concerning, especially when it involves a child's medical treatment. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this practice.
