My husband just wanted to look at plants, I chased our 6 and 3 year old…read morearound the store and stopped them from touching things and giggling and running and was doing my best to get them to behave, but was getting constant dirty looks from one of the cashiers, a grey haired elderly woman who was sweeping up. As we were leaving I said "we didn't really appreciate all the dirty looks we were getting, bye." And this cashier followed us out to berate us and tell us "if you had better control over your children[she wouldn't be giving us dirty looks]" I said " ma'am both my kids have ADHD I was trying my best what do you want me to do? Never take them in public?" And she continued to berate us as we were walking to the parking lot, she literally didn't need to do any of that, she could have just taken the feedback and not said anything as we were already out the door as I was saying it, but no, she felt the need to give her judgment at what terrible parents we apparently are. If she has adult children I'd definitely understand why they no longer speak to her, but I'm sure it's more likely with how bitter and unhappy she is that she doesn't have a family at all. DO NOT COME HERE WITH KIDS! These people clearly only want adult customers as all kids can't be perfectly behaved all the time and that's what the staff members who work here expect. I'd give zero stars if I could and return what we did purchase from them because clearly the owners have no problem employing bitter and rude employees who are fine at looking at their customers like they're worse than the dirt stuck to the bottom of their shoes. Please don't give them your business, especially if you have kids.

The owner has expanded and this location holds all types of wonderful items from artists from across the country. The selection is not overwhelming but gives you plenty to look through. I will probably be back for Lego earrings or hope someone I know sees this and knows that I like them. Wink wink. I really love the IOWA love this owner has as do the many artists displayed there. I really fell for the prints that were being displayed and some of the IOWA jewelry up to purchase. Lots of unique gifts for someone who has everything. Right in the new building by RayGuns new location, this store is a beautiful addition to our Des Moines east side.

They have a great selection of pet friendly plants (with the black ceramic kitty peeking out of the middle - he never ceases to make me jump!). There is also a nice selection of succulents (I have finally managed to keep most of the alive!). The women working there are very helpful, especially with repotting and care advice. Convenient location in the Highland Park neighborhood but parking can be a little challenging; I try and go during the week and usually manage to get street parking out front.

The majority of their selection is outside. When I went they had a special going on. (see photos for details). We got quite a few plants and the lady who helped was more then happy to answer all the questions I had. She also was willing to help my mom even though she was sitting in the car the whole time. Overall it was a great experience. They seemed to have a diverse selection of plants - all of which looked pretty healthy. The inside was definitely cool although they are currently limiting it to two customers at a time due to social distancing. The lady who helped us was wearing a bandanna as a mask and the other person had a cloth mask on. The whole store, while going for that cluttered chic look was very clean. Masks are required per the mandate. I would definitely go back.

The whole space feels warm and intentional soft lighting, crystals lining the staircase, art, jewelry, and the cutest little displays tucked into every corner. It's cozy without feeling cluttered, and everything feels really thoughtfully curated. I loved how it has a mix of things Including unique gifts, cards, home pieces, and little spiritual/wellness touches that make it feel a bit magical. You can tell it's one of those shops where every item was chosen with purpose, not just to fill shelves. It's also just a really calming space to be in. I found myself wandering slowly, picking things up, and actually enjoying browsing instead of rushing through.
