I had to do it because my belongings were in a storage unit, and the storage facility wouldn't allow ABF to drop the trailer on their property. Tip: depending on what day you move (friday vs. earlier in the week) the price varies. Also, if you book online, you receive a $25 discount.

Dori responded w a quote of 105/hour (as shown in the attached screenshot). When I called to schedule, it was a whole different story. $105 is not the flat rate. They wanted to charge $50 extra per heavy item (despite the items being listed in the original inquiry), $.05 / mile to get from their office to my house and back, and starting the $105/hr rate when they leave the office (not when they arrive at my house to start work). Then, they keep the hourly rate going until they arrive back at their office from my house. I did not hire them and was disappointed by the lack of transparency in our initial communications. Instead, I went with a company that stuck to their original quote without hidden fees.
