This Millers is losing its luster and freshness. Still a clean place but the quality has gone down the past couple of years. Really greasy fish and chips. The several items ordered are tasty and delicious. The Ribs are a tad dry. The Chicken Wings are piping hot and crispy. I had them with a Fire Sauce and Garlic Sauce. Came here on a busy Frida night with my girlfriend. The service was great and our server, Angelina was awesome! Started off with some mozzarella sticks and they were hot and ready, the sauce had a hint of spicy but it wasn't too spicy. For our entrees, I had the Prime Rib French Dip with a side of fries. I loved the house honey sauce which complimented the sandwich but not so much the horseradish sauce. My girlfriend on the other hand had a limited edition dish called Mimi's Special. Good place for game watching! I used to work for the Ale House quite some time ago 25 years to be exact - in Broward. Since moving up here we finally got the chance to visit the one on Gatlin. They were busy as it was a Saturday football day. The atmosphere was friendly. The service was a little slow but the server was friendly. I could tell she was running a lot of parties. They don't use Equal sweetener or the blue packet equivalent, which was a let down. The Calamari was tender, so my Mom told me. I could smell it which was not very pleasant. I had the Chicken Fiesta Bowl and it was very good. But the cream sauce was hard to find so I asked for more. Everyone else seemed to like their food. The Captain Jacks will always save the day. Ale house has been a staple in the south Florida community for years! The freshness and fast service is always a huge plus for me. The Zinger mountain melt has been a fan favorite for years and it's not a shocker as to why! With loads of cheese and bacon goodness and fresh Buffalo tenders it's usually my go to when we visit here and the quality never disappoints. This is a second review of the same location. I've had a lot of negative things to complain about at this Gatlin location. It's very close to home so I thought we'd give it another chance. My wife and I entered on a Saturday evening and we like sitting at the bar. An outside bar is generally pleasant, depending on the weather, and this bar is open on two sides, which actually can be good or bad. Almost sat down but the music was so loud that I looked at my wife and said, "screw this. I can't handle it." We left and went elsewhere. American Miller's are a decent chain of Ale Houses that are scattered up and down the eastern seaboard and generally comprise of two sides: Outdoor seating / bar area and indoor seating / bar area. Since this is Florida, I typically opt for the outdoor bar area (unless it is one of those 80% humidity type days) and grab a seat at the bar. This location has decent bartenders and a god sized bar where I am usually able to find a spot to shimmy in to for lunch. I typically go for lunch on a Friday, but have been in there later in the day and on other days. Bartender is efficient and usually has a helper - the place can get to hopping no matter when you go, so that helper is needed usually. Menu is on the large size, with a large smattering of bar type foods for apps, lots of hand-held options (burgers etc.), some seafoods and pastas and steaks / ribs to round it out. Pretty much something for everyone. Food is good to very good- depends on what you are looking for and what your particular tastes are, but the food is generally good and comes out in a normal amount of time- it is cooked to order and not steam table yuck. Drinks are well made and the prices are average - you will get a decent sized portion for what you pay. Initially walking in on a Saturday, it looked completely packed, but we were able to find a spot at the bar where we didn't have to wait for a table and could still order something to eat. Two bartenders today Matthew and a female. Two managers at the bar also standing around talking about video games. The couple sitting next to me wanted to move away from the beer taps because of the flies in the tap stands. No one addressed them. They moved on their own. Flies everywhere. I hated to see this because this was always a clean, fast, good stop. .what a shame. I never got to order anything to eat. I remember Kevin's bar on a Sunday. He ran a tight ship. A few years back while my wife and first moved to Port Saint Lucie this was our go to place for quick dinner grab, fast service and good drinks. With time, it has become lengthy to wait for a table, service has declined and drinks are not as good (unless you order beer, impossible to mess up). During our last visit on 8/27 we happened to go right before rush hour (lately it feels like all the time is rush hour, always busy and you can't reserve your spot on the app like many other restaurant offer, so you have to go in person and check in with the greeter to be seated, would love to have that options in the future) and grabbed a table quick. The sever ( will remain nameless) was quick to take our order but the order itself took a while to get to our table- missing the appetizer- so not happy about that. Since we already received the entree we didn't want to wait to get the appetizer at this point so the sever just removed it from the check. It took a while for the sever to come back to our table so we could pay the check. All these were great Prime Rib Burger, Atlantic Salmon, Premium Mac & Cheese ( this was really good, compared to the Chick Fil A ones), Caesar Salad was good as well. A few days ago we tried going here for dinner but wait time was over 45 minutes, we ended up going to Longhorn instead 5 min away. Would have checked in the app but that's not an option :( About a month or so prior we visited Miller during lunchtime and we were also quick to be seated since it wasn't busy at the time but the server took forever to take our orders and then disappeared. I had ordered whiskey - proper twelve- with ginger ale and somehow they messed it up, didn't taste good like it had many times before. Lunch price was a good deal and meal portions as well but the service was not. Ambiance is at good as any bars, loud music, screens playing on all angles, great place for game nights , fight nights etc, but make sure you go early or be ready to wait a very long time!! There is a new Miller opening in St Lucie West so we are hoping that helps with traffic to the Gatlin location and hopefully an app update on the future gives you the option to put yourself on the wait list. Ok, so had a weird experience at Millers last night. Our server came by and we ordered some spinach dip to start. The app was fine and we asked for some time before ordering dinner. When we decided to order, I asked for a Queso Smashburger. Our server asked if I wanted an extra patty, so I said no, two is plenty. She them told me that the burger came with just one. I pulled out the menu and showed her where it came with two. She said that is misleading, because it comes with one. Hard to imagine she saying the menu was wrong. I ordered something different and moved on. My partner had a chicken and shrimp bowl. The rice was so undercooked it was inedible. A manager took the bowl off the bill.
