We did take out here this day. There are plenty seating arrangements available if you'd like to dine in. The ordering process was fairly easy. The crab/shrimp/lobster combo we got was delicious. I think the sauce they use is extremely addicting. We did get a side of salmon bites and steamed rice but we definitely did not enjoy that. Not much flavor with the salmon. Ok. Wow this was definitely was a surprise. Our first visit to the Red Crab restaurant. It was definitely a down & dirty type of restaurant. They have little buckets at each table for the used shells or crab legs. Definitely glad hey will be opening a restaurant in Brooklyn! We started off with awesome cocktails & mozzarella sticks. They definitely should serve the tomato sauce hot. Eating cold tomato sauce is not appetizing. Crab cakes are delicious. The salmon dinner was delicious & I absolutely loved my King Crab Legs. With all the positive reviews, we stopped by on the drive down to Ft Lauderdale. Happy we did! While the menu is a bit confusing, the Juicy Sauce Crab (butter, garlic & cajun) for the snow crab & shrimp was AMAZING! The blue crab was good, but a bit more work. I was not a fan of the boiled Crawfish, but I also don't eat shrimp with the head's on either. The fried fish was ok. However, the fries worked better than the boiled potatoes with their SUPER yummy sauce. Still thinking of that sauce! Mmmm! read more

Today I had the worse experience and with the manager at that! She's Hispanic and her name was Janine or something. We were seated with our children and left there for more than a while before even getting as simple as our drink order. Still didn't make a fuss then someone with children is seated right across from us and finally after forever again the food comes out, she gives us the seafood with no silverware napkins or anything turns around gives the table next to us their food silverware etc and even made sure they were okay. I proceeded to ask for another waiter and didn't get one instead she walked up to us before even getting a bite of my food and says " you guys look like you have an attitude what's the problem"? I replied I don't like your service and asked for another waiter she said to me "what's wrong with my service then proceeded to add the table next to us in the conversation to ask them was her service bad I asked her to leave us be walk away she proceeded to argue so then I begin to give her exactly what she wants screaming at her she then reached over our food and said get out go & called the cops, all while the kids are there. We ordered for the 4 of us * 1 lb of shrimp off the happy hour menu * 1/2 lb of crawfish off the happy hour menu * 1 lb Dungeness crab * 1 lb sausage * All in their juicy mixed sauce Came w 2 '1/2 ear corn and some potatoes. We were plenty full by the end taking home a lot of the sausage. We all donned our bibs and gloves and went to down. Our table was just laughing and having fun (I mean c'mon i'm wearing a bib and gnawing on the potato like it was an apple). We really enjoyed the food, the waitress was awesome, price was reasonable for seafood (about 120 including tip, 3 beers, 2 sodas and all the food above), and just had a great time. read more

Food - my sister & I shared the calamari, the Monday special boil ( 1/2 lb shrimp, 1/2 lb mussels, 1 snow crab cluster) with the red crab special blend sauce, steamed rice, and fries. The calamari was just okay, I wouldn't get it again. The seafood boil came out lukewarm and the sauce was wayyyyy too salty! I've had seafood boils before and I could tell from the first bite that this one wasn't good. The fries and white rice were probably the best things we ordered. Service - we came in on a Monday afternoon so the restaurant was pretty empty. We waited for about 15 minutes before our waitress came to our table which was pretty annoying but the service was good afterwards. Overall, good prices, great portions, okay food. We ordered take out from Red Crab tonight and have done so two times in the past. Until tonight, we were pleased with our meals. Unfortunately, our dinners this evening were definitely not up to par. The fried haddock platter came without tarter sauce and the fish was dry and overcooked. My husband and I both ordered side salads with balsamic dressing. The mixed greens were so slimy and inedible that we threw both away. They came with ranch dressing which is NOT what I ordered. "Juicy" seafood?? Juicy honeybells and watermelon. But seafood? Ok, it's just an adjective. How about delicious, messy, bountiful and garlicky? That was our experience on our first visit to the SLW location. (Red Crab has locations throughout the east and Midwest) We ordered a bowl of edamame with garlic sauce ($6). A unique and tasty combination. The sauce is a bold helping of minced garlic and seasoning on the bottom of the ocean of butter. I ordered the low country boil ($28) with the Juicy special (that's hot sauce, lemon pepper and garlic butter combined in the pan). The snow crab cluster was full of meat and joined the 1/2 lb of perfectly boiled large shrimp and slices of sausage in the shallow end. Tender whole red potatoes and a half ear of corn added to the seafood pool party and the tastebud festivities were on. My wife had the fried shrimp platter ($12); large and lightly breaded. She proclaimed them to be very good. The menu is, of course, mostly (juicy) seafood with raw bar options, pasta, po boys and lobster rolls. But their focus is on sauced seafood combos. And bibs. And lotsa table side napkins. Wash it down with a cold beverage from their full bar. Decent prices on beer buckets, pitchers and mixed drinks. This is a restaurant that serves no nonsense seafood of all kinds. Yes, its kitschy decor of plastic fish caught in cheap nets and logo -on -life preservers has a touristy souvenir shop garishness. But don't expect an Old Bay seasoned fresh caught dockside low country South Carolina menu and vibe. It's whatever juicy means to you. Caution: 1) this may not be the best place for a first date. 2) the paper sign on the front door warns you that a live DJ will play from 5-9 pm on Sundays. And Sundays look popular for two large birthday celebrations with adults and kids. Yes, we went on that Sunday. We will be back. Just not on Sunday. read more

This was ana amazing lunch experience. I had the pleasure of being seated in Danny's serving area. She was by far, the best waitress i have ever had in my life. Can't rate the food, as we walked out before even ordering! We were having a birthday dinner for a friend. 20 people for dinner. We called the day before to ensure they would be prepared for us. We arrived at 3pm. Some of our group was at the bar already. When we went to the table my friends were talking about how rude the bartender was. After 45 minutes everyone in our party didn't even have drinks yet. One person asked our server if maybe the manager could have someone else help her worth such a large party to which she responded "the size of the party isn't the problem, it is that you all are so nasty" then stormed away from the table cursing. About 5 minutes later the bartender came over and said "I'm here to take care of you because no one else wants to" We said we don't understand why she acted that way and she responds "whatever, get over it and move on" at this point I stood up and said I'm out of here. The rest of my group followed. Never did we see any management. I can't even fathom the way these employees treated us! Shame on the owners for employing people like them. To let a $1500+ tab just walk out. Needless to say I will never return here, as I'm sure No one else in our party will. read more

Sunday night vibes! We sniffed out the delicious smell, that was wafting through the Home Depot parking lot, and ended up at the Red Crab. We sat at the bar to enjoy a drink or two and dinner. It was the right choice for a fun evening. They had a DJ there, and I guess the DJ is a Sunday night thing. The DJ was great! He must have scanned the crowd and saw that generation X was present. He had the whole bar singing to "Sweet Caroline" and shaking our butts to rob bass and DJ EZ Rock! The food was fabulous! We ordered the weekend special combo. I had the special sauce with mine, mild heat... Oh my God... Amazing! The dinners arrived in large balloon bags. We had never seen this before, because we are from Idaho (which is a landlocked state) and the seafood in Idaho is called Beef. You are going to be messy eating your dinner! This experience will transport you back to when you were eating from a high chair with your hands. You will be okay... everybody else there is doing it also. They offer you a bib and gloves, just in case, The thought of greasy hands freaks you out. Just enjoy the experience! The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere light and fun! To start we ordered raw oysters. The oysters were not fresh, we each tried them and there was a horrible aftertaste and then noticed a foul Oder. We sent them back and the manager would only take off half for the oyster. We also ordered the a lobster roll and a shrimp/crab/crawfish boil. The seafood boil was very good. However, the lobster roll was filled coleslaw and a little " lobster". The one positive note on our experience was our server, Jenn. She was very sweet and attentive. read more
