As you remember, I paid over 6,000.00 for your services and regret every minute and dollar spent. I should have asked for the accreditations of all the people who worked on my vehicle as I believe they were more BOCES than Jaguar trained, yet I paid the big bucks for what I feel was no more than Craigslist mechanics. Let's begin with the loose steering. The steering wheel still has play and earlier this year I brought this to your attention but you refused to look at it unless I paid a 67.00 fee. Since when does a shop of your "caliber" look for money to inspect warranty work? That's why I wrote to the Better Business Bureau and they published my complaint regarding tour work. Next is the alignment which you did twice and admitted, "That's the best I can do". At 275.00 for an alignment I would think you could have made this big engined vehicle...12 cylinder go down the road on a straighter path. Let's talk about the brakes, 1500.00+, which pull to the right and the front hose which I was charged 101.00 leaks. The brake light keeps coming on at the oddest times, and then shuts off. Finally the "Minor" tuneup which you gave the car. You didn't clean out the mouse nest which took me 2 hours to remove, but you did tell me there were leaves. 970.79 for a job that left my idle to this day erratic, and quite a few vacuum hoses which you "forgot" to reinstall. I inspected terminals which were not cleaned but corroded. And one more thing, the PCV valve which you replaced for 104.83 and mentioned it really didn't need it but it might have been original, so why not...but the engine breather which was adjacent you didn't touch. I read the manual, removed it and soaked it in gasoline to remove the molasses like crud in its lattice work shaped body. I also scraped the gunk around the pipes which I am sure you should have looked at as it was so close. Jeff, you and your crew did a disservice to my beautiful 1989 5.3L XJS convertible. This year since you worked on it has been a nightmare as I believe you didn't solve the problem but became part of it. And yes, because I know you will use this...I did complete your survey immediately as I trusted you, but didn't know the negative issues until I drove the vehicle and it was too late to retract them. You used this against me when I disputed 2,900.00 worth of your work with American Express, and you won the case. Sly...very sly. My vehicle, as we reach the 1 year warranty point which you will not honour has been driven less than 4000 miles which again fits into your warranty specs, is not where I want it and reed it to be...I feel I have wasted a great deal of money and would not recommend your shop.

He then got aggressive after I just paid $500+ for absolutely nothing. Not to mention when I dropped the car off it started, now it doesn't start and also underneath my hood was all taken apart along with grease in the door well. The gentleman got so defensive I asked if he wanted to fight me, I couldn't tell if he was initiating a brawl or trying to explain why he was double billing me. Anyhow, towed car home, battery charges but computer isn't working correctly and the car won't start. Check my other reviews. I always leave good/fair feedback. This place, not so much.

I had my car inspected at the same time since it was there anyway. I called to get an update and was told Joe was just finishing things up and I would get a call back when the paperwork was completed with the total cost of the work plus the inspection. When I did receive the amt I was shocked in a GOOD WAY! It was unbelievably reasonable! I am very familiar with Lakeview since I bought my car there years ago under prior ownership. I told him I assumed he was Aaa I had already called for a tow and he said I'm not taking it off my truck . They charged me 300$ for basically stealing my car .

After they were done they said the…read moretransmission was bad so I asked if they checked the computer or the tcm and they said no, the car was in to bad of condition to put a transmission in it anyway. Instead of charging me over $150 for diagnosing the car they should of just told me that they were not willing to do any work on it anyway. Who knows if they even diagnosed it right. Easy pay day for them.
