My wife pulled out onto a busy road at a busy time of day and immediately said there was a problem. The car was in "turtle" mode. My wife turned right as soon as she could which means we had to turn left to get back. The car literally wouldn't move. We were very close to getting hit more than once. The car finally moved. No big deal. Stuff happens. I was upset that the salesman didn't make sure the car was ready to go but I was not mad until he said "I told the service department there was a problem with that battery" Then I got mad. He knew there was an issue. Didn't ensure it was addressed and put us out into traffic like sitting ducks. I have 4 kids. I have 4 Volvos on my insurance. We were unhappy with the level of service at the local MB dealership and looked for an alternative. We ended up buying an XC70 at Alan Byer and had a wonderful experience. Debbie Matticio was great to deal with for the purchase and over the three years - service was great. Much more responsive than at the MB place. While the XC70 was a great vehicle and was wonderful to take our dogs to shows, we got a little tired of the SUV-like driving experience. So a bit ago we started to look for a more fun wagon again. This led us to Debbie again. Who steered us to the perfect car - a V90 wagon. They had one that is a beauty. Again the sales experience was a dream. They did everything, trade-in was easy, fair and all in all a great experience. Because of Covid-19 rules, the delivery of the car, had to be "contactless", so no sitting in the car going over its extensive technology. I believe their pricing is fair, and probably more than fair, given the expertise they have. To give you a sense of their integrity, I'll share one story. I had left my car there to have maintenance done, and when they finished it was parked in the side lot as is the norm. In the few hours between the completion of the work and my arrival to pick it up, someone had swung open their rear door into my car's front fender so hard that it left two sizable dents that couldn't be repaired without going to a body shop. I didn't notice the body damage until I got home, and I quickly called Tony to let him know what I found. He was aware of how well I tend to my vehicles, was horrified, apologized profusely and without any hesitation offered to pay to fix the damage done in his parking lot. Now any time my car comes in for service, he makes sure to tell me that he will keep it parked in the garage until I pick it up. Tell me, where else are you going to find another garage with integrity like that? I won't bother to look since Masello's is the one of the few shops I go to for maintenance and repairs.

The owner, Jeff Thomas is complicit in the abusive behavior of his employees, based on my personal experience. I brought my Range Rover in for diagnostics and a repair quote. When I politely asked for clarification on certain billing items, the service advisor (Tony Lesko) became increasingly abrasive and ultimately refused to continue working on my vehicle. I was instructed to pick it up immediately and pay only for diagnostics, which I did. At pickup, after I paid and signed only the receipt, I documented my vehicle with photos and video. *** While I was seated inside my car preparing to leave, the service advisor came out of the building, banged on my driver-side window, and then reached his arm inside my vehicle, multiple times, without my consent in an attempt to honk the horn, while continuing to make aggressive remarks.*** This behavior was intimidating, unprofessional, and completely inappropriate. The interaction was recorded. While on the premises, I also noticed that a brake warning light was illuminated, which had not been present prior to bringing the vehicle to the shop. That raised serious safety concerns for me. For clarity: tampering with a motor vehicle or interfering with its operation can constitute a felony under New York law. I am not making an accusation, but given the conduct and the vehicle condition upon release, this was alarming and unacceptable. Customers should be able to ask billing questions without being subjected to intimidation or physical boundary violations. I have filed formal complaints with the appropriate agencies and would not return.

Feeling good about the shop, I also asked for a quote on lowering springs installation. I was quoted around 900 dollars for the job, which I later looked up the book hour from BMW on this job was only 4.5 hrs. They also wanted 250 for alignment. Both these two quotes were on the higher end. I ended up driving to the stance shop at Queens and got the springs installed along with alignment for 400 dollars

Instead of charging me over $150 for diagnosing the car they should of just told me that they were not willing to do any work on it anyway. Who knows if they even diagnosed it right. Easy pay day for them.
