Heros. Just straight up heros here. On my way to Cuero by way of Austin my water pump blew (at 6:30am). I camped out in front of millers till they opened. They opened on time and greeted my and my dog warmly . Within 15 a mechanic was looking at the issue. Within 35 mins I had a fair quote for same day service. And - they let me work in an office and use the wifi. I'm super greatful for the great and personal service in a very difficult moment. read more

The vacuum pump on my truck had seized and blew up so it needed to be replaced. I went to a nearby autozone and got a new vacuum pump and pulley set but the pulley set had a part that was stripped. Thankfully, the people here were able to help us put the vacuum pump on the pulley with little trouble. read more

I'm very thankful for this small town auto mechanic shop! After leaving Austin last week on our way to South Padre my car started acting up. We really didn't know where to go but the owner of a tire shop down the road told us he used Miller's before and they were honest and reasonable. This definitely put a damper on the start of our vacation but these guys had us in and out within a couple hours. It ended up just being that it needed a tuneup and they did have to get the parts from another town in the area but again it was timely. While we waited we went and enjoyed some good local barbecue at city market and just walked around some of the shops. We got back in perfect timing they drove it to make sure it was running good. Miller owns a reputable auto repair shop. He is personally involved in the repairs and customers. My engine seized a mile from his shop while I was towing a trailer. I called Auto Club for towing, but my coverage didn't cover the trailer. The tow truck said they would charge $125 to take the trailer. I called Miller about my situation and he personally came after the shop had already closed to tow my trailer. I'm from California, and needed to get my truck back on the road as quickly as possible. They were diligent to get the engine repaired and on the road repaired properly. The truck worked perfectly. read more

My car was showing engine light and suddenly stopped in the middle of nowhere. I was working in the ER, unable to get out and fix the car. I found this auto repair shop online and called them to see if they can come over to work to fix the car. They came to my work in 30 mins, pick up the car, and took the car at their shop. They fixed the car in two hours and called me to get ready and drop the vehicle where I work. Absolutely incredible service and Customer Care. Was driving through on our way to San Antonio from Houston when we experienced mechanical issues. Located this place that thankfully was open on a Saturday. First spoke to Miller on the phone who very kindly directed me to his shop. Once there, Miller quickly diagnosed the problem and advised that we needed a new tire. Miller referred us to a tire shop down the street as he did not work on tires and refused to charge us anything for his time. Highly recommend this place as Miller is an humble, honest kind man! This place needs negative stars ! I'm a little late posting but want to let yelpers know how this guy operates . We had to travel back to Lockhart for our rental home and had car trouble in Luling , a gentleman at convenience store told us this was closest but he didn't know anything about them .... we drove over and waited about 15 min in office finally owner comes in ..obviously not overly interested in helping ...bad attitude from start .. he finally says to wait and someone will take a look after another 20-30 he did... tells us it needs axle or shaft? Cb axle If I remember correctly. .anyway after another hour we weren't told anything. ..parts are on the way ...gonna be tomorrow. ..nothing !! We decide to try and get to Lockhart since it was only making noise periodically. .. go to G&E auto to be told it was only a piece of wire that somehow got hung under car ...yes!! We were waiting to be swindled by Miller's Autowork in Luling ... and it was the owner!! Stay clear folks . He maybe a slick one but he's a thief! !guess he's good at it since he has positive reviews. .. read more

I broke down on the 10 just outside Lulingon the day before Thanksgiving. I called Miller on Friday he towed it to the shop and I told him to give me an estimate. It was the water pump and told me also the radiator had a small leak which I knew about. My Bishop said he would pay for the repairs. Total was over $1000. I picked the car up last Saturday, and made it half way home to San Antonio when the top radiator hose broke, I pulled over a guy cut that portion off and got me back on the road, well when we replaced the water hose we found that the temp gauge went soaring to the top, in investigating that,my cousin found that the thermostate was in upside down. Spring part is supposed to be pointing towards the engine block not the hose. No wonder I lost a hose on the way home and kept having steam and hearing the radiator boiling. Steer clear of this shop, they do not know what they are doing. I am not in San Francisco, I am in San Antonio. read more

My car engine started misfiring near here during a cross country commute. Went to the truckstop and drove here when they opened at 8. Locked my keys in the car, and realized when they used a lock kit on my car that they were much more awake than I was. They changed the sparkplugs and made a few other repairs and I was on the road the same day. They have very sharp people working here. read more

7/6/15: As car repairs go, a very good experience. Broke down on I-10 late at night, and AAA tower highly recommended Miller's in Luling. I was skeptical, but I trusted the tower's honesty and his assurance that this shop was AAA certified. Arrived at shop first thing on a Monday morning and Miller (owner) and his team started troubleshooting immediately. In just over an hour they had diagnosed a hidden electrical harness failure based on a rather complex set of spurious indications. Repair required removing manifold to access and re-insulate ~10 wires of a harness which had eroded due to heat from my Dodge Caravan's engine. Repairs were completed same day, and we were back on the road that evening. Cost of repair was very reasonable, but most impressive part was their responsiveness. Miller's honesty and straightforward nature struck me as someone I could trust; he took before/after pictures to show the extent of problem, and emailed them to me at my request. If i ever have another car problem in/around Luling, and I hope I don't, I will call them first. read more

Good people, forthcoming, and trustworthy! Last Saturday 12/17, my family and I broke down on I-10 while traveling back to Houston from San Antonio. It was very stressful with our 3 year old son, and elderly mother and father with us who were due to catch a plane in Houston in the next 6 hours. I am also 6 months pregnant, so the stress was really getting to me! Our 2014 Honda Odyssey showed every light on the dash and went into high idle speed- We've NEVER experienced any trouble with this car, so this was surprising. Had it not been for the good people we met that day, we would've easily spent nearly $2000 in towing, rental car expenses, and temporary storage for our vehicle...not to mention potentially losing our Powertrain warranty. We needed to get our van back to Houston, but that was nearly 160 miles away and AAA wanted $6/mile! We had a basic AAA membership, but that only covered 7 miles of free towing. The shop manager, a young gentleman named Junior, informed us that he would be happy to fix it, but if the problem was covered under warranty- it could potentially void the warranty coverage if the work was done by a third party like himself. Instead, he advised AAA offers a premier membership that has up to 200 miles of free towing- which was enough to get us back to Houston for FREE! He even sat with me on the phone while I contacted the Honda dealership in Houston to discuss the details of our situation. It became clear we needed to get our van back to Houston for repairs. In the interim, he kindly suggested a reasonable place for us to leave our vehicle until it could be towed, since we needed to leave immediately to get my parents to Houston in time to catch their flight. In the middle of the Holiday season, it was so refreshing to meet a small town shop of employees with such integrity and kindness! If I lived closer, I most certainly would have given them my business for approved repairs too. I drove home that day in a rental car being grateful for the blessings we experienced in the middle of these unexpected & unfortunate circumstances.
