Joe, the owner, told me that they could, but if I could call on Monday morning to make an apt, which I did. We agreed on Thursday as the day to work on it. I took it over at 6:45 am and left him the keys. At 4:15 pm, I called to see what time I should pick it up. Joe had already left. The man I was speaking too did not initially know what I was talking about and then told me that no one had worked on my pickup. I called at 6:15 am the next morning, last Friday to request to get my keys as I already had plans to go out of town. Picking up the keys, Joe then told me that they did not do the type of maintenance listed on the sheet. What poor customer service.

I took my car to Abel, and he was able to quickly find the error. Ford installed the air filter improperly causing one of the dampers to make a noise when opening and closing. He was able to get it fixed quickly, was very friendly and open about what he was doing - showing me where the error came from and what he was going to make sure it was fixed. The owner is extremely kind, but after meeting him your pockets may feel a whole lot lighter. I called him after being in a serious plight and needing help on a Sunday. I believe due to his location he gets a lot of Sunday Google calls for help; ones he will answer and assist. He let us know that it COULD be expensive if it was a detailed and extensive job. We wouldn't know until we were there so we got a tow on a hot day with our kids tired and hungry. He opened his shop for us and gave us somewhere to sit. As all the reviews say he's really nice and a good talker. My ideas part with them about his honesty and not taking advantage of people. Maybe he picks and chooses, who knows. And maybe the law of supply and demand doesn't bother some customers. We were charged $500 for one hour of work including his drive time and picking up parts, and $20 for parts. It's something my husband could have easily done if we were near our house, so we were familiar with the process. He also passes on his credit card cost to his customer at 2.6%. I had flashbacks of people over charging for toilet paper or hand sanitizer during the pandemic. We were happy to be on the road again, but he's no Good Samaritan.
