Had to leave a review because honest mechanics are hard to find. I drive an 07 FJ Cruiser a heavily modified, lifted truck and a discontinued vehicle that's become harder to work on. I was getting quoted around $11k for an engine swap and he got it done for $6,500, easily the best price I found. He didn't just swap the engine either replaced my radiator, fuel pump, gaskets, coolant, spark plugs and took care of everything the right way. Avoid at all costs! I should've trusted my gut since the owner was so pushy. He charged me upfront. I felt a little at ease when a customer said he goes there all the time and they are great, but maybe just at oil changes. I went in for an oil leak and for the thermostat to be fixed. I had to go in 4 times because after they "fixed" it, my car started overheating. I asked for a refund and he said he would only give me a refund if I could prove I still had issues by another mechanic. I got the proof and I got the bureau of automotive repair involved. My mechanic showed that EZ had siliconed everything and I still had the leak and the thermostat was never replaced, as they claimed. EZ only offered to refund thermostat + labor, which their invoice was not clear as to what I paid for. I filed a dispute and after 5 months, I finally got my money back. read more

I was driving from Los Angeles to Yosemite and was going to leave the country for 4 months on an international trip. Unfortunately on the very first day my car broke down in the middle of the road. I booked a hotel and shopped around for mechanics in Bakersfield a place I knew nothing about. I was in a hurry to go back on my vacation and at the same time I didn't want to spend a ton of money on my old car and was ready to trash it. Ali diagnosed the problem correctly promised me that he will fix the car within budget . To be honest I was very very skeptical because I was leaving the country for 4 months. I told him that whether car is fixed or not I will be leaving town and not returning for 4 months. If there are extra repairs needed I won't be returning back for the car since the cost to repair will go beyond the market value of the car. DO NOT COME HERE!!!! I went every single day this week for what was supposed to be a tire patch on a hole, that turned into a huge inconvenience and waste of time! The manager is the biggest irresponsible idiotttt of a manager i have met in my entire life!! Monday they patched my tire. A few hours later it started losing pressure. Tuesday i took it back to have it checked and when they checked it, it turns out i needed the tire replaced because it had a sidewall tear that they didnt notice. I proceeded to buy the tire and while driving that day i noticed the sensor for that tire was obviously not working, and the manager told me over the phone that i needed to keep driving it. That did not work. Wednesday i went back to have it checked again and asked them if they broke the sensor because i know that happens sometimes, but the manager said they did not and that they were going to "prove" that they didnt. Upon checking it, it was determined that they indeed did break it, but the manager said they didnt have the machine needed to reset it or the sensor, so they were going to have to order it from Amazon and that they were going to have it the following day. Then the employee there stated that he was going to bring his own machine from home to fix it and assured me it was going to be ok. Thursday i show up and they said the part hadnt arrived and assured me once again that they were going to have it by friday. By that point i was expecting that and simply said ok and drove off. Yesterday, Friday, i show up and at first they said they ordered the wrong sensor and that they were going to have to return it. Out of nowhere, after days of arguing with them, the manager seems to pull out another sensor mysteriously that he said he got from oreillys and gave it to the employee to replace it. (I suspect he had it but was waiting for the cheaper amazon part) Well turns out they didnt know how to reset it! They took about an hour trying to figure it out but could not do it. Incompetency at its finest!! After a verbal altercation with the manager and so much time lost, the manager told me to take it somewhere else to have it fixed and bring back the receipt to pay me back! I shouldnt have to do that and i did not trust them to return my money at that point. The manager, which was putting up a fight with me all week, then TOLD ME HE WAS NO LONGER DEALING WITH ME AND THAT HE WAS NO LONGER THE MANAGER! And pointed at the employee in front of me, to both our face! That he now was the manager and person in charge! I couldnt believe it! Who in the world does that?! Eventually i had them personally go to the tire shop across the street and had them pay them to do their job! I have never written a bad review, but this place is theee worst business of any kind that i have ever been to and the manager is a complete and utter moron with absolutely no sense of responsibility or accountability. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE!!! If i could give zero stars i would and if i wouldve drove to the tire shop across the street i wouldve saved so much time and frustration. In the end the manager said they just simply werent able to do the job and that it happens. How are you going to break a part in my car and literally not be able to fix it. Unbelievable read more

When this shop first opened it was great. Unfortunately they are under new management. I went in to get a tune up and the technician first told me that they charged $11 per sparkplug plus labor. Then he looked under the hood and (without removing the cover to see how many sparkplug were bad) he said he could do it for $100. I was leary but said check it out first and let me know what you find and we'll go from there. After about 45 minutes the owner comes out and told me I needed 4 new tires. I said, what about the tune up? He said that's already done but your tires are cracked and needs replacing. I had just gotten two back tires the month before. He then proceeded to try and sell me 4 new tires, he was talking fast, wouldn't allow me to finish a sentence without jumping in and swore he wasn't trying to cheat me and that he was treating me like his own mother. (those are the ones you can't trust). He stated the tires were not safe and could burst anytime. I kept saying I could not afford tires and he even asked me about paying with my income tax. At that point I was disgusted, paid for my tune up and left they never wrote up an estimate, no paperwork to state what was done on the car, just a receipt showing I paid $110. He was rude and pushy and unprofessional.i will never go there again. I drove away and stopped at two other tire shops to check my tires. My tires were not new but they were perfectly fine.
