He was on time, did excellent work from an impressive setup, stayed in the estimate and was just an all-around nice guy. We had Jose, a week and a half ago, come clean are driveway, sidewalk and small patio by the pool and he was done within an hour and a half with fantastic results. Before he left he pointed out some problems I had on my roof and gutters/grain spouts which could fall at any minute on someone walking to the pool. I was dreading fixing this for a long time because I knew it would be very pricey. He showed me pictures. He showed me videos and then gave me a quote, for if I wanted to get the job done at a later date. I was so impressed with his initial work and the quote he gave, I took a leap of faith and decided to go with JJ Gutters Power Wash for my Roof and Gutter problem. Jose was the most transparent and honest person I have ever meet. I asked many questions along the way and did a lot of research which brought even more and more questions in regards to my roof. Every time, Jose listened to my suggestions and explained why something would or would not work. He worked with me every step of the way until I was comfortable with every detail. And yes, I was that client that wanted to know every detail. Today, Jose and his team proved to be highly professional and easy to work with. His crews had excellent attention to detail and they also cleaned up after finishing the job, which was greatly appreciated. That's what we wanted and that's what they delivered, every step of the way, including permitting with the town, architectural drawings, elevations and blueprints, engineering schematics and plans, and of course all elements of construction both outside and inside. We contracted Longfellow to design and build an entire 2ndfloor for our cottage in the Swifts Beach area of Wareham. They worked closely with us and provided several options for materials, fixtures and appliances, flooring, lighting, etc. They invited us to consult with them at every stage, and they willingly changed some of the plans during construction when we asked for some additional windows and partition walls. No problem. We were so pleased with the end-result of our new upstairs that we had them renovate our downstairs, too. We had them re-shingle our entire home, add new hardwood floors throughout the downstairs, insulate, drywall, and plaster all of our 1st floor walls, replace some windows, and replace all of our downstairs electrical outlets. These folks are fast, too. Honestly...in two days' time they demolished our roof, framed and decked the new 2nd floor, erected all of the outer walls, framed the new roof which included a massive, sturdy LVL beam for the ridge board, and then sheathed and wrapped it all in Tyvek. We were dumbfounded. Their electricians are first rate, and fast. It's the same with every other aspect of their construction, including keeping the yard clean and being courteous to our neighbors. They have several skilled crews and multiple trade masters on their team, with showrooms in Falmouth, Osterville, Sandwich, and Harwich Port. They also construct and remodel homes in the local towns off-Cape, which was the case with us. In short, Longfellow Design Build took our three-season cottage and transformed it into beautiful, comfortable, weather-tight, luxurious, year-round home, AND THE PRICE WAS RIGHT! I had 2 bedrooms painted, all the ceilings and had a wall coat holder of some sort removed and drywall fixed and ready for me to paint. I also had a door replaced too. Some of the workers were very respectful of my home and ensured that the dust from fixing the drywall was vacuumed during the process, floors and furniture protected and others didn't. I think if perhaps the owner was not pre-occupied it would have been a more successful job.

He's very responsive and was quick to come give us a detailed estimate. He can also take a credit card which was a huge plus for us to be able to use a no interest card we have. He had some great ideas and suggestions and actually has a great carpenter on staff that replaced some of our cedar shingles that were on their way out. They also soft washed the entire house, gutters, roof everything for us! Brian helped us pick out the perfect blue for our front door that gave it a great pop of color. He also offered to repaint a big metal compass decoration that was starting to rust a little bit which was a nice treat and just goes to the level of care he has for every single job. His crew showed up by 8:30 pretty much every morning and are all really great guys. They all cleaned up after themselves and were conscientious and friendly. Their work is unbelievable, how neat and clean they kept everything. They worked very quickly but were also thorough. We just replaced all our windows with new black windows and we were a little nervous about them getting messy, but those guys are so neat and precise they all look perfect! We had a few little spots on a punch list that we noticed and they were immediately addressed with no issue or grumbling. All of his employees are incredibly skilled at their trade, but also easy to talk to and humble nice guys. We had a little misunderstanding in the beginning with the pressure washing, but Brian absolutely went above and beyond to make sure we were thrilled. Brian is the kind of business owner that will be around for a long time with a great reputation because he does the right thing, takes pride in his work, and is on site almost every day making sure things come out perfect. We are so happy we hired Top Notch Painting and would recommend him and his team for all your painting needs!

Update August 2020: I had to reach back out to Miller's after I noticed that one of the two sections of roof that I had replaced in November (rubber roof) had formed some wrinkles that exposed parts of the edge of the roof to the elements. Once again, Millers was very responsive. Paulo was out at the house a day later to check things out, and despite not being able to explain why the wrinkles formed, had his crew out two days later to completely replace the roof again, at no cost to me. This was particularly appreciated as we were able to get the roof checked and repaired during the week we were at the house, versus having to disrupt rental guests if I had to wait another week (I rent the house part time during the summer). I was once again kept me in the loop through the full process, and I very much appreciated not only his quick response but standing behind their work. November 2019: Millers repaired two sections of roof on my home in Falmouth. Extremely responsive compared to others I spoke with, and I appreciated that they kept me in the loop throughout the day they were doing the work, including texting me pictures and video and calling me directly with questions. I found them to be fairly priced, and though the final cost came in above the estimate I received due to some areas of rot that were found, I felt throughout that I was being treated fairly (they covered the labor costs associated with the additional work) and that we were making sure things were being done "the right way." They'll be the first call I make with any future roofing needs down the Cape. read more

My roof was put on two years ago by Miller's via one of the big box home supply stores. About two weeks ago, after some wind and rain, the cap shingles on part of my ridge vent came off. I emailed both the store and my contact at Miller's about this warranty work. I'd heard from Miller's prior to getting a response from the store contact. Within a week, Miller's had called me to get details about the brand and color of my shingles and had installed the new shingles on my roof completing the repair. Both I and my general contractor neighbor were impressed with the speed, quality, and professionalism with which this warranty repair was done. I still haven't heard anything from the original store about fixing my roof. I'm not going through a big box store again for anything and I will definitely be using Miller's again in the future. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a standup company that went above and beyond to remedy a bad homeowner situation. Even when there was no additional money involved, they came through, took care of the problem, did a nice job, and left me with the leftover shingles which the big box store didn't do. If you get a chance to work with Paolo and Julio, you won't regret it, they are genuinely nice people who believe that a name should stand for something and they do stand for something. read more

Could not have had a better experience with Paulo and his crew for our renovation. Beyond professional and responsive. The regular communication from him leading up to the project, during and after was incredible. I have worked with a few different trades on my house and have been disappointed by no responses, no shows, and no communication. Paulo didn't shy away from issues he found in our nearly 100 year old home and made sure to correct and fix and not just patch over it. His crew came in and installed 17 windows, resided the whole house and repaired an entire wall in our sun room all in 7 days. They worked 7 days a week 7-7 and left the site clean and ready for us to move back in. He was fair with his pricing, and I would recommend Paulo and his crew to anyone, and I can't say that often after some of my past experiences! All my neighbors were beyond impressed watching how the crew operated - it was like a well choreographed dance and they all have their roles and responsibilities and work very well together! The Millers boys ripped and shingled my roof in 10hrs. Being a retired foreman/carpenter, I climbed up(walkable pitch) to give it the eagle eye. Very good attention to detail, especially flashing. Door and frame were rotted due to age and water damage. Alan gave me the measurements and I ordered a replacement from home depot who delivered it promptly. Scheduled a day with Alan, he showed up exactly on time and completed the job within several hours. As always, he was polite, worked quickly, cleaned upon completion and removed all the old materials. His skill-set is impressive and has very reasonable rates!
