Wonderful little pet store with all kinds of neat toys and pet accessories for purchase. Home made dog biscuits and birthday cakes available here. They do nice work on decorating these special treats too. Owner is very friendly, knowledgeable and all around nice woman who genuinely cares about her business and customers. 4-legged and 2 legged!! Love Millie and Bo's Barkery and will continue to shop here for as long as they are open. Support local business owners! Animal lovers store to splurge and stock up. Dogs are welcome inside the store. read more

Owner is always super friendly and will give recommendations based on things you buy. My dog eats Fromm food which I can't buy most places. He always loves the treats and bakery items as well! Very cute shop! I love out of town but always try to coordinate buying food and treats with when I will be in Decatur to support this shop! read more

My six-year-old black lab got brought…read moreout there today and she's probably one of the greatest dogs anyone ever mean and she's never been anybody if she scratches you it's on complete accident cause she just wants to shake your hand and on top of all this she doesn't even play by and if she does, she doesn't bite anywhere near as hard as a normal plate bite would be. So today I brought my dog out there to get a $70 package done just to get called and say we can't keep your dog out here no explanation why nothing. So I go out to pick her up in the first thing I'm greeted to is her standing up there by the counter waiting to be picked up smiling and happy. I didn't get told by the associate how my dog bit three people scratched people constantly and had three of her nails broken in a kennel because she couldn't stay locked up. Now this doesn't make sense to me, considering she's kennel trained sleeps in her kennel by herself at all times and never has bit anyone in her entire lifetime. So when I question it, I got told how I was wrong but yet I was refused to be shown any dog bites or scratches or the cage that was magically destroyed. And then I was told how I'll be paying an additional $10 every time. I take her out there now because she's such a problem. I would recommend not to bring your animals out here, especially if you have a bigger one because I really feel like the associates clearly do something to antagonize an animal to the point where they will do something completely out of character or they will just lie about it just to get more money out of you personally, I won't be taking my animals out there ever again because if you can't as much as take care of my pet I definitely don't want you taking care of somebody else's

Today is now January 27th my few remaining aquarium fish are all covered with what appears to be ich, and fin rot. I'm trying to treat it with medication but the medicine doesn't seem to be having any effect. As of right now have lost 7 neon tetras 1 rubber lip plecostomus, 1 buenos ares tertra, and three lamp eye tetras. Had not previously struggled wish disease at all and these were the only fish introduced within the last six months.

My experience at this facility in Monticello was very disappointing…read more During the initial consultation, the staff member I spoke with dominated the conversation and seemed uninterested in hearing important details about my dog's needs. Before even examining him, she immediately focused on what she described as matted fur on his ear and tail (which was actually very minor) and suggested she might not be able to groom him properly because of it, making a much bigger deal of it than necessary. She kept speaking over me and was ready and willing to argue after I said "were just here to drop our doggie off for grooming, not to hear your personal assessment". She went as far as giving us further unsolicited advice afterwards regarding a 'possible abscessed tooth' based on a puffy spot under his chin. He is 15 years old and most of his teeth are bad and he has several fatty spots, thanks for giving us your opinion, however, we know our dog very well. When I tried to inform her about his numerous moles (crucial for safe grooming), she dismissed my concerns and only acknowledged the one visible on his head. This lack of attention and unwillingness to listen felt controlling and unprofessional. Then she felt it was necessary to explain herself which is when I walked out and allowed them a chance to prove themselves. When my girlfriend picked our senior dog up by herself, this person felt it was necessary to apologize to my girlfriend for rubbing me wrong or something to that effect. Ultimately, the grooming service itself was subpar. The haircut was very poor - definitely the worst cut he's ever received. To make matters worse, she called and convinced us to allow her to trim the fur on his tail, citing that 'it didn't look right' to her. My girlfriend agreed, only to discover later that she had removed nearly all the hair from his tail - including the long spritzy fur on the end that no groomer has ever considered removing over the past 15 years, and other sections that weren't even matted. Additionally, he did not receive a bath afterwards, nor were we given any printout or documentation summarizing the services performed. We expected a haircut, nail trim, and anal gland cleaning. I can see that the haircut and nail trim happened. Blind faith regarding the anal gland cleaning though. While this was the second worst overall grooming experience my dog has had in this town, it was certainly the worst haircut. This person has control issues or is extremely biased to a point of being unprofessional. This is the point that I begin do all of this myself from now on, out of necessity.

Evan updated us mid-stay and she had calmed down after her first day. We were so grateful to know she was in a safe and caring environment, and will definitely bring her back if we're in the area again.

So when she opened her new business, The Dog Cave, I didn't hesitate to follow her to her new location. I have two Pekingese who I leave natural, only trimming tummy, rears, and feet. they have very thick coats prone to matting, especially when Mommy is lax in their at-home grooming. Alisha always does a beautiful job. I want to also mention that Alisha is always so good at returning calls and texts. My practice is always to book ahead to have them on a regular schedule anyway, but Alisha is always accommodating and flexible. I highly recommend The Dog Cave!

We were able to go to they house and see the puppies and pick ours. The sire, and the dam where also on site. Every one of their dogs was so clean and well trained. Even the Sire loved on my 2.5 year old son. They allowed us to spend some time there with the pup, while they answered every question we had about the breed and the dogs specifically. Once we decided we wanted the puppy and left, they kept us updated on the puppy until pick up day. Naamah was sending photos of our puppy and texting us about changes. We had them crop our puppy's ears and they kept us completely updated that day easing our mind. People were even commenting on photos, after we got out puppy home, about how wonderful of a crop it was. When you are there you can see how much they all caring for their dogs and puppies. When we decide we want another puppy it will only come from Mr. and Mrs. Perkins. Highly Highly recommend.

Clear and transparent communications throughout the entire process. They also helped to make it possible to have Dugo flown to Los Angeles.
