    Jackfruit Sliders

I've been here many times before and I always get the banana split açaí bowl. I was surprised this time that it didn't come with bananas on it since it's in the name... that was disappointing especially since it came with blackberries and I'm not a fan of the seeds so I just didn't eat them. Who wants a banana split with no bananas? lol The jackfruit sliders were a first for me and the butter pickles complement the flavor sooo well. Loved them!

I missed lunch on a recent business trip and was starving as I headed toward Richmond. Knowing there would be few healthy options I was thrilled to find Millie's on Yelp. I ordered an acai bowl from a very helpful clerk. It's granola was gluten free and the fruits were fresh and delicious. The portion size was fair for the price and the bowl was delicious. I doubt I'll ever be in Lynchburg again. But if I am I will totally return to Millie's. There were so many more things on the menu that I wanted to try.

Millie's is a great place for vegans/vegatarians to visit! We enjoyed everything. The Jackfruit sliders are made with vinagar based BBQ, they come on a soft slider roll with a housemate spread and bread n butter pickles. I also had the veggie rice bowl. It was great with a ginger soy flavoring. negative ... I wasn't a fan of their lavender-lemonade. It was weak and watered down. I will definitely try a different drink next time.

This is definitely my girlfriend's and my favorite coffee place in all of Lynchburg. We love it not only because the coffee is good, but also because they care about what we eat. Everything here is organic, and all the syrups are made from scratch. The spicy chai I ordered was also made from scratch, using a special syrup they prepared just for me to make it spicier. I highly recommend this place if you're a health enthusiast and a coffee lover.

the food here is so good. there's so many great vegan options, i'm not even vegan but it tastes amazing, i would recommend the jackfruit tacos. it's a good place for studying, and it's connected to a health store which is super convenient. there's always great music and the staff is very sweet!!

I will preface this with the statement that I don't really eat vegetarian or vegan food but when my friends invited me out to this cafe to get some studying done I agreed without knowing the stuff they served here. Despite my adversity to vegetables, even I can recognize when a salad is done well and Millie's blew my expectations out of the water. The spring salad I received was full of flavor and freshness, crunch and crispness. the only thing that was slightly odd was the spirulina dressing. Never in my life did I expect this color nor the texture. Never thought I would have to describe a dressing as "chunky" but here we are. Despite the dressing it was a fantastic salad. I also got the oats with banana, maple syrup, and coconut oatmeal. Everything in that cup was fantastic. Well cooked and I enjoyed how the oats weren't swimming in maple syrup. Just a *touch* of maple syrup was in them. All in all, I wouldn't consider myself a vegetable or salad person by any measure but Millie's is deserving of praise for the quality products they provide at reasonable prices. If you like this sorta thing I highly suggest giving it a shot!

One of Lynchburg's best breakfast/lunch places! I love coming here for a smoothie or a smoothie bowl (always with coco whip). I've been so impressed with the quality and diversity of choices here. I highly recommend the taco wrap (walnut "meat"!) and veggie Sami (hummus + avocado, LOVE). The only time I was disappointed was with some of their juices, but it's my fault for ordering something called the zinger (they're healthy, but unlike their other offerings, are probably not meant to taste real great). The smoothies, however, are so good! My go-to is heavenly cacao or mint cacao. I'm obsessed. I look forward to trying way more of what they have to offer. The location is right in the beautiful Wyndhurst neighborhood and has a cute outdoor seating area. Highly recommend, especially to my fellow vegetarians, though I've taken family members here who love it, too!

Taco Salad and Very Vanilla Smoothie

The salad had a sauce that was missing something to take it over the top. It was decent though. I did enjoy the taste of the walnut meat though. The Very Vanilla smoothie had a scoop of non dairy ice cream. Be sure to mix it in or you get more of a banana flavored smoothie. It was very good though. The staff were very courteous and I would definitely come back if I'm in Lynchburg again.

Delicious Jackfruit Sliders! Their seating is limited inside. A few tables were filled with people on their laptops sipping on a drink, not eating. I really enjoyed my meal but I think it's probably best to get it to go next time.

The smoothie bowls are great. They are presented well and taste fresh every time I go. They are expensive though.

Plenty of fresh spices were on display in the tiny shop, which has a couple of indoor and outdoor seats. I found them offering a vegan breakfast menu, which offered the sort of platter I rarely find available for this dietary niche, including breakfast potatoes, a tofu scramble, a piece of some relatively inoffensive veggie sausage, and bread with what I forgot was not butter. A matcha latte has some interesting sweetener that didn't quite exceed my tolerance and was over coconut milk. It was a pricey lunch, but I could not accuse them of failing to deliver on what I understood the promise of the place to be.

Everything I tasted was delicious and thoughtfully made. I got the Buddha bowl, which came with roasted sweet potatoes, tempeh, curried chickpeas, brown rice and kale. Eating it felt like a vitamin injection. To drink, I got the hot golden milk, which came with lots of turmeric and ginger. My dining companions ordered different things off of the menu and let me take bites: spring rolls (yum, especially with the sauce), empanada (my favorite), falafel (great) and soup (I didn't taste). They also offer vegan desserts, which I was tempted to try but was stuffed from my healthy lunch. The restaurant itself is very small with not a lot of seating. I'd say maybe eight people can sit down inside, but there are some tables out on the sidewalk for outdoor seating.
