I just did takeout. Staff seemed nice enough. Some of the high end reviews confuse me a little. It was mid and as others had mentioned, low sauce. I ordered extra marinara and was glad I did. Had their pizza this evening. Pros: cheese and sauce were pretty good. My pizza was ready very quickly. Good service. Cons: crust was really doughy (that may be a pro to some but not me) Kinda expensive. $20 for a pizza that was the size of most everyone else's medium was a bit high to me. Delicious! I had looked at this place a few weeks ago but I don't eat takeout often on purpose. However since I am nowhere close to my favorite pizza restaurant in Chicago or Michigan I decided to try this place. I have to say from the outside it's very unassuming but what comes in that cardboard box is very good! The first bite always tells me everything I need to know about a pizza and this one said many things. I ordered the Carnivore which has pepperoni, ham, and ground beef on it. Even with all that meat, the pizza wasn't greasy, the crust was light and crusty. Overall a good pizza. However, with a name like "The Carnivore" there should be way more meat. I would still buy the pizza again. Street parking and great customer service. Stop by if you are in the area. read more

My new favorite pizza restaurant in town! I tried this place when I first moved here and was honestly not too impressed, but I decided to give them another try. So glad I did! I think they may have new management or changed things up. The interior looked different, too. Either way, I highly recommend Upper Crust for local and quality pizza! I was able to even get a custom whole wheat pie, which I was so happy about because I am health conscious AND love good food. The only problem I have is the steep increase in price when you start adding toppings. I am overall very happy, especially with the crust, which I am very picky about. (Yeah I guess it's in the name.) I'll be back soon! read more

I was hopeful after reading some of the reviews for Upper Crust, but after sampling their fully dressed pizza, the best I can say is that it's marginally better than Domino's. The pizza was okay, but that's about it. I would say their biggest problem was their sauce. There wasn't much of it, and it just struck me as being kind of bland. Good whole wheat and gluten free crusts! Very small eating area but take out is quick.

Cute little spot with some good pizza. The workers seemed nice as well. The only thing is that it is pretty overpriced for what you get. It was 18 or 19 I believe for a 12 or 14 inch pizza. Not crazy high, but certainly more than usual. The pizza was good though and had some nice floppy thin crust. Hope to try it again in the future. read more

Found this place on Yelp after me and my buddy were looking for some good pizza in town. Glad we came here instead of going to some joint off wards. The wyndhurst area is really stepping up with their food game, and this place helps a lot with that. The crust is what's to rave about here. The dough tastes fresh and not overly cooked. I am a big fan of Upper Crust for just overall good pizza and fantastic service - never met a rude or unhappy employee at the counter. Really love their lunch deals! I would put this as one of my top three places for pizza. My only feedback would be not to order the boneless wings if you have a craving. I recently needed to get a take-out order during work hours (which, is why I needed boneless) and wasn't quite in the mood for pizza. Since the business is nearby and reasonably priced, I decided to give their wings a go. Big disappointment! They reminded me of the nuggests in the frozen section of the grocery store: small with lots of breading, soft (no crunch at all), and there was barely any sauce on them. I was so hungry that I finished them, but felt like my $8 was completely wasted - but, you live and learn... as I know that's not what they are known for. Love Upper Crust! Their pizzas are definitely well-made and a treat compared to the chain restaurants. The only reason for taking a point off is that I wish they had more coupons and night discounts - the lunch discounts they offer are amazing! You can get a small pizza and drink for under $6 at lunch! So amazing deals there. You may pay more but the pizza is definitely above average and nothing like the pizza chains. My order from yesterday (9/3) was not prepared correctly, because they were not given the instructions ahead of time. When I got to the store, the cashier and cook were very patient as I asked several questions regarding the preparation of one of the pizzas.
