I received a text from Drop in Tea Monroe that my order was ready which was followed by another text to fill out a survey. I never got a response from my survey, so I'm posting my review online. This was a horrible experience. First, the wait was incredibly long and people who came after me were getting their orders before me. When I noticed it was happening, I was told the "new girl" was doing my order. It took about half an hour to finally get my order - Taro Milk Tea. Second, the staff were literally standing and doing nothing but talking at some points when they were so far behind. There was no hustling to get orders completed like at Starbucks. Third, I left the shop with my order. It was the most disgusting drink. It had clumps of powder and hadn't been mixed right. I ended up throwing it away after trying to mix it in myself. It just wouldn't. What a huge disappointment after waiting so long and paying that much for a drink. I did request the company refund my card and gave them all my information including order #. I never heard back and didn't get my refund. Fourth, when I tried to find this place to give it a review I found it under Millions of Milk Tea (parent company) instead of Drop in Tea which is who sent the text to me. I'm not from the area, so I didn't remember what the actually name was on the shop front. I can understand that places are having trouble getting staff or keeping staff, but this was pure chaos on so many levels. I see I'm not the only one having a problem. I witnessed others in the store talking to staff about issues like not getting what they ordered and one girl didn't even get what she paid extra for. The "trainer" in this store isn't training new staff properly if they aren't getting orders right, and they aren't mixing drinks properly. I still want a refund. read more

I love their milk teas here. This time, I ordered the Thai milk tea bobba with 35% sweetness, and it was perfect for my taste. My husband ordered the mango milk tea with mango poppings at less than 75% sweetness, and it was extremely sweet for both me and my husband. If you like your tea really sweet then i suggest going for 75% sweetness else 50% should be good enough. read more

I waited 40 minutes for 1 drink and it tasted very bad so I asked for them to remake it or to get something new and the two baristas were trying to argue with me that I needed to pay if I wanted another drink and wait in line again. Once I explained to them how costumer service works they agreed to remake it, then forgot, I waited another 15 minutes and then just left. This pains me to give a low Milk Tea review. My girls and I were enjoying the day with my husband shopping for my youngest daughter's birthday. After eating lunch in the food court I had to stop across the way for some boba. I order myself the Thai tea with lite ice and extra boba. My daughter got the same. I considered trying their egg waffle treat--however it can't be sold in singles or doubles; you have to buy 4 or 6. So I passed on that this time and even looking at them I was certain they would not be the delicious ones I remember from Taiwan. The girl takes some moments to make our drinks. Then when she hands it to me I notice a lot of black sediment just floating throughout my drink / clinging to the lid. When I asked her she said it's tea sediment *yuk*. Oh okay...the Thai tea was an okay flavor, I really didn't like the sediment getting stuck in my teeth or the feel of crunching it when chewing on the boba. The boba was very gummy with my sweetness so that wasn't yummy either. This is the first time, that I can ever think of, where I didn't suck down my boba and I threw it away. Sad. read more

After trying this Boba Tea shop, I would not recommend. The first thing we noticed when we entered was the smell. That was almost enough to deter us from ordering anything. The area where the drinks were made did not seem sanitary by any means. Then, we watched him pour sink water in our drink to dilute it, which you could taste in the final drink. There were also little black things floating around in our drink, which we hope are seeds but honestly are not sure. The drink was $7 and was definitely not worth the money. The yakult mango drink I requested at 50% sugar came out to be sweeter than expected. I had also ordered a pork bao that took way too long to heat up. I understand that the service was backed up due to staffing, yet this was a very simple task that was not executed until I asked about it and 15 min later. The wait time was almost an hour, which is understandable considering the day. What frustrated me was when they made my order wrong... It took FOREVER to remake my order. I really liked the wintermelon milk tea with herbal jelly. That tasted better than the regular milk tea, but the regular milk tea is also good! I came to Monroe just for this shop since I'm a boba fiend. So even though I'm visiting Dayton for business, I must get my boba fix! Let me clarify that I'm from the West Coast and i have a fairly high standard for quality boba. And given that this appears to be the only boba dedicated shop around, I had to curb my expectations somewhat. I will say that the establishment was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. I ordered an Oolong tea CAP (which is "creama" for us West Coast folks) at 50% sweet and less ice. The boba was fresh and chewy but the boba feels relatively smaller than what I'm used to and it isn't made with sugar. The tea itself was okay (not really a strong brewed flavor). So all in all, I'd give my drink 3/5. It's not bad but there's def room for improvement. read more

Best milk tea in cincinnati! This coffee shop is in side of Cincinnati premium outlets. Across food court. For those who don't know what Asian milk tea is, it's basically the Chinese version of iced sweetened Chai served with the option of including various extra's in your drink such as a chewy tea- flavored tapioca balls or fruit tapioca balls or red bean, etc. The texture can take some getting used to but you can always order the drink without. The classic version called milk tea is essentially made up of milk creamer or powder mixed with black tea and a bit of sweetness mixed together. I love that millions of milk tea apart allows you to customize your drink Starbucks styled with levels of ice, sweetness and type as well as amount of tapioca pearls or extra's. I typically get a milk tea with half sugar, no ice (drink is still cool unless you ask for it hot), and half pearls. The green tea version of this tea is also a healthier alternative option to a frappucino. The service was super friendly. Looks like they may have imported some of professionals to help teach. Yeah for franchise business model! I'll be back for sure to try the other items on their extensive menu! Hope the quality stays high. read more

If i could put negative stars, I would. By far the worst possible experience at a food establishment. First of all, the two workers there (dude with slits on eyebrows and dude with a mullet) were literally shooting boba spit balls at each other while customers are present. Highly unprofessional and ultimately unsanitary. Second, they made the drinks undrinkable. Overly sweet would be an understatement. Cant believe I wasted my money at this place. Management really needs to redo their whole staff. But then again, if you're hiring teenage delinquents, you're probably an scumbag as well. You're literally robbing people. Take care people! This place honestly isn't the worst boba place I've been to but it's not the best either. Average to below average tasting boba but it does hit the spot if you're craving some bubble tea! This place seems to be short on staff members because when I went, it was only one person taking orders and making drinks which I sympathize with! I came here with great expectations but only to be deeply disappointed with this place. Not coming back again. 1) Long wait and disorganized. I ordered the bubble tea and waffles before the rest but they made the other orders first and made me wait for so long. They kept messing up the orders. In the end, I wanted a refund for my waffles because they hadn't started making it even after making the orders others placed - but guess what? They don't know how to do a refund! So I decided to wait for my waffles although it took so long! 2) super unhygienic practices - I ordered the waffles, and the Asian lady almost didn't use gloves to prepare my food until I insisted for her to do so. She had long painted nails that had some pearls dangling from her nails. Can you imagine if she had made my food with those dangling pearls that might have touched a thousand dirty things? Her hair was also untied, and her hair actually touched my waffles, so I made her re-do my waffles. There wasn't any apology, but only bad attitude. Also, they used an electric fan with lots of dust stuck to the grill, to blow the waffles so that it cools down. Who does that?? 3) quality of bubble is only subpar. I visit Kung Fu Tea often and should just stick to what to KF Tea instead of trying this subpar place. 4) servers don't even know their own menu. I asked a couple of questions, including what the milk cap is made of because different places make it differently - they couldn't even respond, and kept saying they were not trained in anything. This was an extremely disappointing visit. Their food menu lists a few different types of bao, we asked whether they were dumplings or buns, we were told buns. We were also told that it would be about 20 minutes, we decided to wait anyways. When our order was ready, they were not buns, but dumplings, they also had no utensils. Got the Oolong Brown Sugar Milk Tea and even without being able to adjust the sugar level for that drink, the tea flavor was still strong for what it is, a sign of a good boba place. Boba pearls also has a nice chewy consistency albeit a bit firm but the boba pearls are on par to what I expect from most boba places. Interesting twist on tea. My husband is a huge fan of the Boba tea, which has little chewy balls in the bottom. The Tarro flavor tastes like fruity pebbles. The store was clean & staff were friendly, however there was quite a bit of a wait time for them to make it. There was 1 cashier & 2 ladies making the orders. One of the ladies had a strong accent & was hard to understand what drink she was calling out.
